True, just because a bunch of ************s and ********s (self censor) used something as a symbol for their evil acts does NOT necessarily mean nobody decent should ever touch that symbol again. Hell, even the swastika was once just a good luck charm, nothing more, nothing less, and might as well continue to be so if not for some arsehole named Hitler. I know for some, many once innocuous symbols now mean something completely different, due to what people wielding those symbols have done, but sincerely, I think perhaps it might as well be the time for us to take back such symbols for its original purpose as decoration, only that now we should know to never repeat the crimes those before us have committed.
Also, nice bike. *VRRROOOM!*
@SledDriver Ok... It just occurs to me that the side profile of the canopy looks more tapered towards the rear compared to the P-51D that I recognize, but I guess removing the "lip" (armor?) and widening the fuselage will cause a few visual illusions. Not to mention that you pretty much never make true replicas, only artistic airframes (sometimes) insipired by historical designs.
Yeah, other than the obvious problem that the fuselage art has more parts than most aircrafts, no problem... Yeah, I know it probably means "Art made using fuselage parts" but I just felt it obligatory to say so... P.S.: Amazing art!
Is this an original design? Anyways, great build as always!
Also, I just HAVE to say that after seeing that weird exchange between you and FairFireFight, I'm.... at least to say, a bit... curious on why you suddenly went full-on defensive after what seemed to be an obvious joke/meme (well, at least to me, that is). Is it a habit formed after people started nitpicking on your earlier SR-71 inspired builds?
only torpedo bay outline included, as launchers would be useless and would increase the part count Why? Is it because the in-game torps are too small and can only run straight?
@Hyattorama Even if it would, it would still be the world's LEAST efficient aircraft design EVER - given how much energy is lost when the piston "catches" the wing and accelerates them into the other direction.
@EternalDarkness Yup, the problem is that in-game surface-to-air missiles does not lock on to a cruise missile (well they don't even show up on radar), while auto-cannons lacks true fragmentation. I guess projectiles with XML'ed sizes (within a certain limit, of course) are allowed?
@Zott Although not "everyone", many are similar enough - that's how people made the movie Tora! Tora! Tora! - there aren't that many flyable WWII Japanese warplanes around anymore, so they decided to simply build replicas out of T-6 Texans and BT-13 Valiants.
A MH-60 Blackhawk (the stealthy variant) combined with a V-22 Osprey? This thing is cool, I have to say, but I think that those engines are less stealthy than the rest of the plane...
@spefyjerbf Yup, the rear engine pods and parts of the fuselage do resemble their counterparts on the orbis, although most of those can also be seen as a direct successor to that of the RONIN MKI. That said, this build is indeed quite a majestic one.
@BlazeInfinity Indeed... 571 parts on android would be a more than a bit laggy... Though given the context, the Italians could mount their own torpedo tubes on the vacancy left from the SAN tubes...
His pals from the Jolly Wrenches might feel differently though... Granted, they're built and raised for war, regardless if they were Corsairs or Rhinos; Dusty, decidedly, is NOT.
... if I recall, going by Hisotenku spellcards, would the "Shanghai" variant be an early "proof of concept" model with a massive TLS pod, and the "Hourai" variant a newer model that carried a medium-sized TLS pod but better autonomous capabilities? Also, I'll just assume the "Holland" variant carries miniaturized microwave APS domes, and Alicebird is probably providing her drones energy via microwave transmission either way... (If Seeker Wire and Seeker Dolls skill/spell cards are of any indication all of her dolls/drones carry TLS pods but require external power, on land her dolls are probably controlled via wire guidance)
.
..
... and if Chireiden taught me anything, the drones she lends to Marisa use chemical lasers instead of solid-state ones due to the lack of wireless transmission.
....

...... and preemptive apologies for the word vomit.
@Solent19
First thing first: it's not my first time doing mass-upvoting some random strangers 'ere, nor would it be my last.
Second: please, for the love of all that's sacred and cherished please try to sketch how the plane would look like before you start the construction process - your construction style is good, but your aesthetics is really hit-and-miss.
... and preemptive apologies for nitpicking.
@USAMustang
Didn't even think that far when I first made it (was aiming for a mix between a Bf-109 and a La-7)... then I rechecked my saved drawings for the Wildcat. Yup, that's a Grumman canopy alright!
And, yeah, the rear fuselage (sans the fin) is also closer to a Wildcat than a Jug.
Fighting the Bettys? Would it be correct to assume that she's one of the 5th Air Force gals?

Also, Tom's Ungrateful Nitpicking Time™: No P-47 in history ever had a 23351 serial number. 41-23351 was a Lockheed A-29-LO Hudson, 42-23351 was a C-47A-5DL Skytrain, 43-23351 was a P-40N-20-CU Warhawk, 44-23351 was a P-38J-20-LO Lightning, while 45-23351 was an OQ-14 target drone.
