@Nickasaurus @WalrusAircraft @TheLatentImage Hellfire and I were recently tearing through the SP code like tornadoes and we came across some of the code that handles automatic mesh merging between certain parts(because yes, SP does that). I believe that if you made a mod that executes this code for every single part, it is possible(from what I've seen) to dump the merged mesh data into an .obj file, which can then be used by the 3D printer. If any of you want to try making a mod for it, I'll point you in the right direction.
@Itamar3553 thats still not possible(via xml edits). You cannae change where the parameters are applied by changing the XML; they are hardcoded, and since no documentation exists on how to make custom fuselage blocks, a custom mod block for this would have to be developed via trial & error, which I have neither the time nor the inclination to do.
@Oicraftian Dude, I already have everything figured out. Do not worry about the stats, everything is physics based or dependent on irl performance statistics extrapolated via mathematics. Just, if you want to argue with me over whether Yamato's guns were better than Iowa's, do it in BSCN, not in my mod pages.
I suggested that the devs allow us to turn one end of a fuselage block into an intake, which is basically the same thing. Good to see people still want custom intakes.
@Danillio No, I have NOT tried an XBOX ONE, smartass. I have, however, tried something that outperforms the Xbox One in every single category and that comes with free online multiplayer: my own gaming computer.
I hope this doesn't happen. I'd prefer to see the devs focus on improving the game and developing future games, rather than spending time, effort, and money bringing it to multiple consoles, which would pretty much double the work for them and slow down development as a whole.
@Krathar Not even remotely possible. If the scripts that run the part(which I KNOW you do NOT have access to, so no, you DIDN'T look at any scripts) show you that they cant be limited, what are a few random XML values gonna do? XML < SCRIPTS.
@The1ultimate1builder Regardless of what your experiment really was,(I highly doubt posing it as a test of how people react to this situation was any more than a lame attempt to save face)this was not a very intelligent way to go about this. Why on EARTH would you think it a good idea to try and distract the moderators with pointless crap like this, when more serious things may need their attention?
Sidenote: as someone who studies theoretical and particle physics, I absolutely loathe how you completely trashed the scientific method with this alleged "experiment."
@The1ultimate1builder Perhaps they don't really GIVE A SHIT about an arbitrary test that they never signed up for? I know that if I was a moderator here, I'd have ignored this as it doesn't break any rules and because I don't see why I should take a test that has no importance whatsoever and that I didn't approve of.
@Krathar Yes; however, the armor is ineffective against stock weapons because the stock weapons automatically destroy anything they hit, regardless of what it is. You can't armor against something that is coded to completely destroy anything and everything.
@AndrewGarrison I probably won't be online at that time(have a job interview), but I want to know if you are able to better control the Clipper than Nathan was.
@KingDeadshot this isn't one of those situations. People flick through rules and through EULAs all the time; no amount of compromising is going to fix the problem, which in this case isnt the rules, its the people who don't CARE enough to read them.
@Commander I have a suggestion for you. Cut this down to one issue per week, and use the extra time to actually put some frigging effort into these. Get some real news, make an actual paper format, and for the love of everything with wings, work on the grammar.
@XVIdarkLithium Look at the fiasco with the latest update being horribly delayed for mobile users as the devs try to get the guns working well on them. Now, add a bunch of consoles to that and you have something that not only takes more resources(since they now have to develop on consoles), but also COMPOUNDS THE GODDAMN PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS.
@General360 XBOX????? You DO realize that putting it on console means a ton more work, and limits the game's ability to grow because of hardware limitations, right?
@Droslash No, I am not joining the contest. I am MAKING a MOD that will allow people to design, build, and fight their own custom warships with realistic buoyancy and flooding physics. I don't need to join a contest to prove my love of battleships when I am already doing more than anyone else to bring them to the game for real ;)
Meh, its missing a turret. And its a major turret too, not something minor that can actually be overlooked. Upvote in exchange for a turret? It looks good, but..... I'm a hardcore battleship guy at heart and the missing turret REALLY REALLY bugs me.
Also, to anyone who wants to know why I believe this is bogus, I remember a rule being implemented where you couldn't upvote posts/aircraft until you reached 25 points. This guy has 8; therefore, if there was a noise for upvoting, he would not be the first to know. If anyone can confirm my suspicions on that rule, then this guy will be proven as a trickster(and a pointwhore). If the rules have been changed and you can prove they have been changed, then I will retract this claim.
Hellfire and I are making a multiplayer mod. And for the record, this is probably the 57th time we've had to tell someone who didn't search first that we are doing this. Please, for the love of all that is good, use the search bar. It works for forum posts too.
UPDATE: U-2 swept a several hundred mile area around both islands, theres nothing out there cept the original 2 carriers. Also messaged the devs on steam and they said there was no new ship.
Just FYI, Murphy and Bandit are on the NEW map. The volcanic island is the new one. As for a mysterious new ship, I've not seen this. I will take out my U-2 to have a look, though.
@LeoBrasi I know slightly more about geography than the average stereotypical "dumb American."
Also, protip: if you are going to post an image of a place, make sure the name of the location isn't in the image's address.
Azores?
@swat132 THERE IS NO SET RELEASE DATE. STOP ASKING.
@WalrusAircraft hit me up on skype at some point today or tomorrow, and I'll tell you more when I see it.
@HellFireKoder I know dood, I'm just yankin yer chain.
@HellFireKoder Cmon hellfire, you can't see how it could be done? I expected better from you.

@austintim It has been said about 15,482 times that APPLE DOES NOT SUPPORT MODDING, THEREFORE THERE WILL NOT BE ANY MODS FOR APPLE DEVICES.
I have successfully uploaded one of my old test maps to the workshop.
@nathanmikeska I'll be uploading one of my old map mods as a test later on today.
@Sirstupid each server owner can set their own playerlimit. Right now there is no limit afaik.
Just clip several different rotor pieces into each other. Profit.
Yes. This album shows dive brakes being used on my personal SBD-Dauntless.

No. That's not how it works. You have to turn the block sideways via xml editing.
I suggested that the devs allow us to turn one end of a fuselage block into an intake, which is basically the same thing. Good to see people still want custom intakes.

@Krathar You can't access the gun partmodifiers from VS/Unity; they are compiled into the game. You must've been looking at something else.
@MrTyTheGreat Screws, rudders, and boilers/gas turbines/etc are all planned.
@Krathar Not even remotely possible. If the scripts that run the part(which I KNOW you do NOT have access to, so no, you DIDN'T look at any scripts) show you that they cant be limited, what are a few random XML values gonna do? XML < SCRIPTS.

@GoldenHawk Still working on it.
I'm tempted to start streaming again. Stay tuned.
@GoldenHawk No, we don't.

@AndrewGarrison Thanks!
@AndrewGarrison I probably won't be online at that time(have a job interview), but I want to know if you are able to better control the Clipper than Nathan was.
Not with the way the devs coded guns and bombs to work.
@KingDeadshot this isn't one of those situations. People flick through rules and through EULAs all the time; no amount of compromising is going to fix the problem, which in this case isnt the rules, its the people who don't CARE enough to read them.
No it wouldn't.
@DarkPhoeN1X It. Is. Not. Finished. Or. Released.
@Commander I have a suggestion for you. Cut this down to one issue per week, and use the extra time to actually put some frigging effort into these. Get some real news, make an actual paper format, and for the love of everything with wings, work on the grammar.
Wow. This is.......... not news. I'd like to cancel my subscription to this paper.

@Droslash sigh, heres an upvote. It IS a good build, and the builder in me is impressed. I'm overruling the naval historian in me to approve this.

@XVIindustries True..... but itd be even better if that competence was directed into more constructive uses.
@LiberatorWeaponAgency Its ok man. I just wanted to tear something apart and your joke was the most convenient target.

Very clever ploy for upvotes. Very clever indeed. Too bad I didn't fall for it.
@Sniper16 No. Apple is a whiny bitch about modding.
This has to be one of the most pointless forum posts ever. Also, it's nothing but shameless advertising for your aircraft.
