@Graingy - I’m so out of the loop on this conversation, but that’s OK. Maybe I’ll post something to bring back some good memories of when I was more in tune with the community. I hope you are all doing well.
I understand, and school is a priority as well. My son (Walrus Jr.) is heading to college soon. He wants to study aeronautical engineering. We used to be hugely involved in this game (less than 150 players when we started), but now it is hard for us to find the time. @PlanariaLab
@exosuit - Hello, Walrus Sr. here. I never left, and I’m constantly amazed how much the game has progressed from simple early days. When I joined, there were probably only 150 players in the game. I think Boxglow was the first or second player in fact. I’m mostly busy these days. I work in cloud development so I’ve been especially busy in recent weeks since our software is used to keep the world running (banks, hospitals, etc..). It has been difficult for my teams, especially those in India who are truly locked down. My son and I will try to release a simple airplane soon.
You might find this interesting. My Evo is the baseline for all of COBB’s maps. I’m in Austin where COBB HQ is and the needed an Evo to dyno and make their maps. The trade off was I got cheap parts, free install and custom tune. I believe there are thousands of copies of my car driving around with the AP device installed, with maps based off my 2012 Evo X GSR.
Busy for both of us. Walrus Jr. is in high school and I work full time. Take today for example... I flew into Silicon Valley at 4:30 AM to meet my Engineering team. We lead busy lives. @Jerba
The flying toaster put us on the map in SimplePlanes. Back when we joined, there seemed to be only 150 players. The flying toaster was a popular meme from the 80’s when it was a screensaver on early Windows operating systems. @Lucario86
I’m doing well. No time to play these days, but I want to get back into it. Walrus Jr. has become quite the cello player, I still race around in my Evo. Thinking about buying a surplus Humvee to boot around in. Got more serious into target practice. Having fun when I can. Still living in Texas. @SpiritusRaptor
@Solent19 - It was ALOT harder to build 8 years ago. I don’t think we even had nudging back then. Everything was altered via XML coordinates.
+1@WinsWings - hello from Austin, TX

+1Congratulations to the team. I’m glad to be part of your journey from early days. -Walrus Sr.
+1Three thumbs up!
+1As a child, I remember the last flight of this aircraft over my home (I lived by a base). Majestic airplane and LOUD AS HECK!
+1I like this. It reminds me of the old “battleship” airships I built 3 or 4 years ago. Great job!
+1Yes, thanks for the tip. @TankerWithATankard

+1I don’t recall exactly, but they just ran out of time and were under pressure to release and bring cash flow in. @DimitriIqbal91
+1We totally missed your comment, and feel bad for that. So glad you felt this way about the creation. @Fluffysheep
+1I caught the 200th update. Nice job, guys.
+1@TheTomatoLover Something like that lol

+1You’ll never catch me! Mahhhnaaahaaaaa! @TheBlyatful1941
+1@SpiritusRaptor - on a side note, I recently (before lockdown) got a private tour of the factory floor. Very impressive.
+1This is really nice
+1Refreshing to see a well done simple plane on the website once and a while

+1This is my car. Weebabyseamus has driven in it.
+1@Type2volkswagen Dude this is too cool!
+1@FairFireFight i found it wouldn’t have yaw input while hovering, and foreword flight became pretty unstable without it

+1Mrs. Walrus works in education. I’ll let her know. Thanks, Jundroo.
+1Great job. I might start building again.

+1@Hayhayjam664 Ok thank you, i'm sorry we don't have very much time to fix it however.
+1The waters are a lot less choppy I guess :-) @GeneralOliverVonBismarck
+1Only 12 in service? @CptJacobson
+1Try attaching a cockpit to the top of the small radar and then remove the parts you don’t need. @RedRoosterII
