As a cinematographer a lot of this makes me cringe, you have some good ideas but they have poor explainations for why they work and what purpose they would have in explaining to the audiance whats going on in frame. But ofc im a cinematographer, not a photographer so I could just be looking at this from a different lense
ehhh when i joined there was a five star rating system that'd end up with a rating showing up on your profile and uh, lets just say some people abused it, even back when you could count how many users were on the site there was things like vote bombing where you'd get a bunch of people to give a craft or user a 1 star rating, its a good idea but people would abuse it to death today
in more depth: it changes drag calculations(dramatically), aerodynamic calculations, soft-body joints physics(what @asteroidbook345 mentioned) however it only gets dramatic if you have loads of calculations resting on a soft-body point, ie a plane with realistic landing gear, and a load more behind-the-scenes stuff i won't go into(mostly because theirs a lot more than whats worth mentioning)
reduce physics and terrain, or use lower part count aircraft, if you're using integrated graphics then lowering graphics settings can help but in most cases won't make a major impact in frame rate
@asteroidbook345 oh yeah then you're using integrated graphics which is pretty bad for graphics rendering, that'd explain why reducing reflections increases frame rate
@jamesPLANESii what wafflecakes sent is the "error code" you get if you try commenting on windows(as far as i can see), looking into that tells me they probably didn't freeze the comment section as QingyuZhou pointed out, its not like normal comment blocks, probably just a site glitch, no disrespect to anyone at jundroo - they made a massive part of my childhood, but the webstie isn't that well-made, over the 5 years i've been on here i've noticed a fair few bugs and exploits, some i may have exploited myself.. i mean you remember the forum post fiasco that happened a while ago right?
Simpleplanes is incredibly child-friendly and can help foster an understanding and curiosity for planes and not just how they work but why, only way to communicate is to make an account on the site or to go on multiplayer (but you need modifications for the game and some technical know-how to access multiplayer), even then both are usually pretty clean and friendly, if you plan on making an account for your kid i'd say to keep an eye on it but i'm sure you already know to do that.
In summary simpleplanes is an excellent game for children with developing minds, and was definitely one of the best games of my childhood.
@Jerrrrrrrrry if it was a joke, i think you should've made it more obvious that its not free to take, its unfair to mislead people into thinking they can post your build then putting them on blast for doing so.

i do it a little weird, i start with the physics wing, then replace it with a modeled wing, then i redo the wing physics
+1@The1Big1Finger1111 wdym "it's a ton of random stuff coming out of everything"

@asteroidbook345 probably means your gpu(if you have one) is being strained
@701wwj666 OH, that explains a lot i was wondering why a bunch of people all of the sudden started posting planes in ortho
+1ha i remember when we had no other choice but to build with blocks, some people got pretty damn creative with those limitations
+1i like the tank but eugh those orthographic views

@Jerrrrrrrrry why did you make it free in the first place if you didn't want people using it

@jamesPLANESii yeah, i wish i remember who made that one, i know exactly the one too
+1oh wait now i remember which one you're talking about, i think i know who made it
@jamesPLANESii you mean this?
fat monkey corn
upvoted cause of the 6th image lmao
+1@Gameboi14 oh just get OBS, the free version is actually pretty damn good and doesn't have watermarks
that watermark gives me way more stress than this could ever take away
+2@MakarnaliMussolini your video was taken down
AUUGH the DETAIL

@Gameboi14 yep
@Dllama4 barely enough lmao
(it was actually my ipad)
(Also i just realized we took the photos on the same part of the moon cycle)
that picture of the moon reminds me of the time i tried getting a picture of the moon with my telescope and iphone 5, turned out surprisingly well
@Adityo0502 still some weird techniques, but no glitches, unconventional thrust
