Looks like the successor system didn’t work on this one. Generally that is the best way to give credit, but I’m sure that pasting a URL of the predecessor will suffice. The crediting practices that I use are the following:
- Try to use the successor system (if you fail to, it’s Ok! There next points are good too)
- Include a clickable link in the description that links to the predecessor, and mention the creator of the predecessor
- Paste a URL in the description, and mention the creator of the predecessor
These are generally the best practices for builds that use parts from other players. Almost the entire SP community uses them!
Here are some other helpful links. The first is about the successor system (and how to make sure that it works), and the other is about formatting, so you will be able to put those fancy clickable links in your description:
1. Successors
2. Formatting
P. S. Looks pretty nice. What happened to the other one that was uploaded?
If I remember right, an account is required to download a plane with a higher-than-recommended part count. I may be wrong with this, but thought I saw it somewhere. Some people also like to lurk, rather than actively participate. I certainly did that for a while. Of course, there are plenty of old accounts that have been forgotten about by their creators.
I try to unify my design around a certain concept or function. When building fictional, ask yourself questions such as “how can this shape help my plane get its job done?”, or “how does my [insert concept here] fit within this plane design?”. Start with something that seems pretty good, and change the design as you go!
Enjoy your studies! In my first year of college, I got inspired to really refine my builds. Of course, I didn’t play SP much at all, but that’s what breaks are for. Study hard, and also set aside some time for fun in your schedule.
Trying to click the scale parts button on FT only to realize that I missed, pressed undo, and now have to re-do everything that I just typed into overload.
Thanks for using the successor system - this build is great! Looks-wise, the color scheme could be improved, but otherwise, good work. I think I’ll follow you.
Not gonna lie. Looking through these comments was pretty fun. I should add though, that posting a forum post about sled’s principles (and how they may be incorrect) wouldn’t really do anything. He isn’t really open to being convinced... The plane looks pretty good though!
@CK10 I’ve definitely thought about something along those lines. A warp drive would actually be pretty easy to do in SR2, but I’m currently having too much fun with SP to jump to SR2 at the moment.
@small1324 Thanks! Orbid was a pretty ambitious build for me. I used some new techniques to build it, and fitting that massive turret in a bomb bay was certainly not easy.
@Mxv87 Thank you!
+1No worries! Glad to see that they were updated.

@Marksman08 Of course! I already gave it an upvote.
Hm, like planes that can actually go to space, or planes that maneuver like they are in space?
Breathtaking!

+1@4Dimensional Thanks! I try my best to do so.
+1Cockpit will probably look better if it is moved forward.
+1@PorkyClown3 Probably not. There are a few things that I could build, but at the moment I find SP more exciting.
+1@Tums Thank you! And no worries.
+2Thank you! I’m glad that I inspired you to create this beauty.
+2Excellent, especially considering that this is your first build! I think I’m gonna press that follow button.
+2I didn’t know that fusion can merge components! I found this from a quick google search. Might be helpful.
Ah. Let me know how the import goes! I have a feeling that fusion might split it up into parts, which wouldn’t be ideal.
+1Screenshots seem to be the problem. Also, try to make your liveries a little more vibrant!
+3Nice. Do you (or will you) have any of the CAD screenshots from Fusion? Those would be pretty interesting.

+13 looks pretty good. Minor detailing might really enhance its look too!
+15 looks like an enormous project. That would be cool to see! Although it would probably be best to finish the rest first.
+3Can’t wait to try this out! I hope the SoulReaper did well. If I remember right, it wasn’t too strong air-to-air.
That would be helpful. The original ones weren’t very comprehensive, and could leave someone without Unity experience clueless. TP.
+1Beautiful. Looks menacing, too!
+1Nice screenshots! Makes me want to make a better city.
No problem! That’s ok.
A mammoth indeed. Good work!

+2@FrostyBoy Good to know that it’s working well now. I’m excited to see what you create!
@FrostyBoy Hmm, the drone can’t lift off? The engines might need some air, or maybe fuel.
@FrostyBoy Thanks! Let me know when its out, so I can take a look.
@FrostyBoy Go for it! Just give credit or use the successor system.

Seems like building this beauty was an arduous task. Good job! The part count is also lower than I expected.

Brace yourselves for the incoming sleddriver comments. Good build!
[Edit]: Just to clarify, I mean posts about sled!
+12Is it the wheels themselves, or the entire gear?
Might as well plug my most recent build.
@EternalDarkness I’m a little late, but thank you for the spotlight! It means a lot.
@ThomasRoderick Thanks! This one was fun to build.
+1@Simpleplaner656 Sounds about right. Feel free to modify it if you want!
@small1324 Thanks! Orbid was a pretty ambitious build for me. I used some new techniques to build it, and fitting that massive turret in a bomb bay was certainly not easy.
+1Very nice. Beautiful shape, good functionality, and a well-rounded description.
+1@Sadboye12 Yep! I post my wallpapers to steam about a week before I upload.
+1@HarryBen47 Thanks! Which part of the description is confusing?
@small1324 Thanks! My description style was heavily inspired by the way that Ephwurd built his fictional universe. Feel free to check him out.
@Viper3000ad Thanks! It was especially fun to work out some math on this one.
@Treadmill103 Thank you!
Nicely done! I like the description too.
