Looks very good. I think the hind landing gear could be moved to a more advantageous place on the plane. Perhaps custom landing gear would be nice, too. Otherwise, this is an excellent design! Makes me want to make a large aircraft, like a bomber or gunship.
@CptJacobson I noticed that you asked me to tag you on my last forum post regarding this plane. The plane isn’t out yet, but here’s an update on my progress!
Not necessarily. People value efficient building styles, too. I have never build a 1000+ part plane, and my most most upvoted build has less than 400 parts.
It would be awesome to see another build from you. However, only build if you want to! Going into a build without any passion will only result in an incomplete project, or a project that you’re not proud of - a waste of time, either way.
Some random parts are probably connecting. Try replacing any fuselage blocks around the rotator with something that has only one connection point (like an inlet, for example).
Adding a fuel block that has negative weight to the back will push your CoM forward. These blocks should be fairly easy to find with the search function on the website. If not, I can link you to a post with such blocks.
@Ccdc Thank you! I have played SP for a while, so I have plenty of experience. That, combined with some good ideas, allows me to build vehicles that i am proud of.
@TheChosenOne With any graphic that i make, I format the images, shapes, and text in PowerPoint. I then use paint, or snip, to convert the slide into an image. Krita is also useful for photo editing, especially greenscreening!
@Potato21 I understand where you are coming from. I believe that certain colors pair well with certain shapes. It's a pretty abstract concept, so it can be confusing.
In my opinion, this has to be one of your best ships. I absolutely love the style, as well as how the build is adequately detailed with a low part count. I do think that the nose and landing gear could be improved, but that doesn't detract from the overall design too much!
Wow. It looks like I am late to the party! To be honest, I do not understand why some users worry so much about the feature function. It has no affect on how many points that user will get in the long run. I have only been featured once, and the feature was a pity feature, given to platinums that had never been featured.
[Edit]: I won't lie - I nearly forgot that the feature function existed, until I saw whatever drama this is.
@TheChosenOne Good question. 2D VTOLs use a gyro to stay upright, with upward-facing jets to keep the aircraft in the air. Forward and backward motion are controlled by jets that have been modded to be extremely responsive.
@PvPSky Thanks! I hope that it was worth the wait.
@Kimcotupan15 @AWESOMENESS360 @CptJacobson I have posted the plane!
@Feanor Thanks for the speedy upvote! The description has been updated.
+1Looks very good. I think the hind landing gear could be moved to a more advantageous place on the plane. Perhaps custom landing gear would be nice, too. Otherwise, this is an excellent design! Makes me want to make a large aircraft, like a bomber or gunship.
+6@Kimcotupan15 A little bit, yes. I’ll tag you when it’s finished!
@AWESOMENESS360 Thanks! I will definitely tag you.
@CptJacobson Thanks! I’ll be sure to do so.

+4It would be awesome to see another build from you. However, only build if you want to! Going into a build without any passion will only result in an incomplete project, or a project that you’re not proud of - a waste of time, either way.
+1@ThomasRoderick Thanks for the detailed feedback! I will certainly try out your suggestions.
+1@DemonSniper8 I might, but first, I really want to explore the possibilities of the magnet and winch part!
+2@AerialFighterSnakes Thanks! That reminds me that I should probably try to perfect this concept - it is one that I am proud of.
Magnets and winches. Oh my - I see so many possibilities! This beta was definitely work the wait!
I can’t wait to try this out. Thanks for uploading!
+4Some random parts are probably connecting. Try replacing any fuselage blocks around the rotator with something that has only one connection point (like an inlet, for example).
+1@ThomasRoderick More or less.
Excellent work! I do think that the proportions of the nose look awkward at certain angles though.

@jlewisifer No worries! The challenge was fun, regardless of reward. It’s good to see you back!
@Baldeagle086 Thanks! I’ll do something like that.
@Implosionstrikez I’m sorry - I still do not understand. Do you mean that you like the controls with the gyro?
Bomber escort is fun, because it presents a decent variety of combat situations. Convoy assault is fun too.
@Implosionstrikez As in using trim to adjust pitch?
@Chancey21 @EternalDarkness More or less. I just slammed my hand on a keyboard many years before SP, and the name stuck.
+4hm. Yeah - I guess it can be annoying to have a hard-to-pronounce username.
+2@small1324 You’re right. The color scheme (and the theme) that I am going for are much like the Wakerider. I will do that - Thank you!
+1@CptJacobson Thanks! I will tag you.
@Ccdc Thank you! I have played SP for a while, so I have plenty of experience. That, combined with some good ideas, allows me to build vehicles that i am proud of.
@Jerba 414 parts so far. About 80 of those parts are from weapon systems.
@AWESOMENESS360 I will try that. Thanks!
@flyingsteve88 Thanks! I try to deviate from my usual once in a while.
@Tacocat16 I will consider that. Thank you!
@Phoza Thanks! I will try that.
Eh, too busy to celebrate the holiday anyway. It is midterm season, after all. Besides, I think Awsomur's comment sums up my thoughts anyway.
+1Great use of parts! There is plenty of detail, while still keeping a wonderfully low part count.
@TheChosenOne With any graphic that i make, I format the images, shapes, and text in PowerPoint. I then use paint, or snip, to convert the slide into an image. Krita is also useful for photo editing, especially greenscreening!
Looks good! I would recommend using a glossy paint on the canopy - it might look even better that way.
Can you link a source that says that the F-35 will replace the A-10? I am aware of the "flyoff", but I do not see any conclusive results.
@Potato21 I understand where you are coming from. I believe that certain colors pair well with certain shapes. It's a pretty abstract concept, so it can be confusing.
+1I personally like the desert camo. I think the colors go well with the shape.

+5Good build! I think that I should try making a gunship like this sometime...

+1@SakuraSaku Thank you! I try my best to put my unique spin on things.
@TheChosenOne Its not too hard to do. Try dissecting some of the VTOLs that I have made! If needed, I can point you towards some other good examples.

Beautiful shape. Beautiful part efficiency.
+1@11qazxc Thanks! I'll research tank sizes next time.
