  • Mod request - modified turboprop model 8.0 years ago

@Brields95 Exactly what i did so far. But it still sounds as a piston engine. not a complete solution

  • Mod request - modified turboprop model 8.0 years ago

@Supercraft888 yeah, i know. And i did right that. however, i'm not completely sure that it doest'n biase smth in game calculations. Thus i asked that may be somebody can do a model with only a propeller, so it wont be necessary to scale at all. And more importantly - i need it with turboprop sound, And t-3000 (or what is it caleld, a stock turboprop - have to be shrunk even more due to bigger engine model. I dont like that, i have to scale it too much to make a counterrotating twin props ( second engine have to fit within a small fuselage section that prop-center is made of. And this makes for 10%-15% scale with propeller diameter setting of kind of 300 inches.

p.s. language - about "shitty"? ОК, deleted)) Althoug i do not see that word as that seriously obsessive)

  • Somebody can giv ea link on Gyro Cockpit (PC) 8.0 years ago

@KnightOfAraluen Hm. Maybe, but currently it's not there and it's a pity. I cant install steam on my office laptop and use cracked version of simple planes) And thus can only use mods from site and not from steam workshop(

    @BaconAircraft Thanks for the upvotes!

  • Somebody can giv ea link on Gyro Cockpit (PC) 8.0 years ago

@KnightOfAraluen it is not on this site, its only on steam workshop, captain obvious)))

  • How to reduce weight of engine ? 8.0 years ago

Add massScale="0.1" if you want it 10% of original weight and so on

  • Boeing 787 Dreamliner (Read description) 8.0 years ago

    very very impressing

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional liner v1.2 8.0 years ago

@AdrianFlyingAce unfortunately yes. it does, however, ocassionally work on powerful mobile devices

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional liner v1.2 8.0 years ago

@BaconEggs Well, yes, i've seen the direction of trim slider on your planes. I made it that way as i think it is more convenient - you pull trim up and the plane tends to go up, simply more intuitive. And i made it slow beacause i dont thing that movable stabilisers on modern civilian planes are fast, and this is one of the first planes in the world and first in Russia to have an adjustable stabiliser. And if you do not force take off, take of speed is very dependent on trim - on about 75% up, it will take off around 170, on 50% up - about 190, and if your force the nose lift by normal controlls - it may take off at 150-160 mph

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional liner v1.2 8.0 years ago

@BaconEggs can you please tell me why it seems to be hard to fly? i will try to correct if possible

  • M-126SM KindzmarauliJet (1:1) 8.0 years ago

Nice. But i woul move horisontal stabiliser back a bit, i think it would look better.

  • Tupolev Tu-124 VTOL 8.0 years ago

@KINTARO would like to, but i'm afraid no way. to much functional parts, i wasn t able to simplify it enough

  • Boeing 737-800 (Read Description) 8.1 years ago

@BaconEggs i mean designate usable parts like flaps, lights and so on to the same activation groups and sliders (ie VTOL up, trim down, etc)

  • Boeing 737-800 (Read Description) 8.1 years ago

Nice! Everything except nose section and livery too thick (sticking out too much) - made perfect. I always like models with detailed mechanics, like i do, now i have some more to choose from!

p,s, can i make a suggestion? how about we make uniform controls (flaps, lights, spoilers, etc) among our models? well be more convenient both for us to play each others' models and for other players

  • [Finished] Airliner Challenge 8.1 years ago

@jamesPLANESii sorry than) just decided to play captain obvious)

  • [Finished] Airliner Challenge 8.1 years ago

@jamesPLANESii or open in xml and alter an URL= string to "qfo4mJ" in the top of a .splane file - than upload again

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional liner v1.2 8.1 years ago

@Cedy117 thanks! Its my favourite period in aviation history too.

    @Trainzo Vielen dank! ; )

  • Possibly the best mod Idea ever... 8.1 years ago

Agree. And i thing we need a way to command the autopilot: set course and altitude... and climb rate i think, or else the autopilot as it is would probably stall lots of planes)

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional liner v1.2 8.1 years ago

Well, i will at some point release Tupolev Tu-114 and Tu-126 (its AWACS version) - they look pretty much like enlarged Constelation with swept wings (but with turboprops!) and 900 kmh speed. Very elegant planes too. http://warfor.me/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/tu-126-3.jpg

  • CargoAAFA 8.1 years ago

@Watcing Yeah, i know about an 225, its Tonythekid. And its ok, fell free to use. Just happy people like it. By the way - i made a new version - take a look at recent tu-124 and tu-174 models, its much better - not round, but made from flat panels and with camera inside and space to make a cockpit interior. use from this one: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/j9A7ES/Tupolev-Tu-124-1960s-regional-jet-1-1

  • CargoAAFA 8.1 years ago

Cute, another model using my cockpit modell)

  • Distance Sensor Light 8.1 years ago

And another question if you may... I got a problem of hiding a beam. If i block it with another part (a fixed one, not the one that moves and have to activate a sensor) - after activated for the first time - it starts reackting to the fixed part, no matter how short i make the beam. And if i make a beam less than 0,17 in XML - it stops working completely. if i dont block it - the beam shines outside the plane. May be you can make an option to hide a beam visually?

  • Distance Sensor Light 8.1 years ago

Can you please make it such way that if group is already active - it will deactivate it instead? please, please, please) i want to make a normal landing gear doors that will open and close normally, with current version - it only works first time, and then aas the group is already activated, it starts closing doors prematurely)

  • Distance Sensor Light 8.1 years ago

@DeltaFlyer112 when something moves into the beam within designated distance - it activates the designated group.

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional jet 1.1 8.1 years ago

@Owenbuilder Sorry, its hardly possible, too many parts, including moving parts in flaps, landing gear and so on. It is however currently somewhat playable on powerful mobile devices.

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional jet 1.1 8.1 years ago

@BaconEggs was not playing for 2 months, kind of missed its already not beta)

  • Tupolev Tu-124 VTOL 8.1 years ago

@Himynameiswalrus i tried destroyer - it's hardly possible))) Flight deck is same width as landing gear))

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.3 years ago

Well guys, about fuselage inlet. 1) it is marvelous, needed that, 2) i think it would be better if you make it with no solid back - make it like a pipe and allow sticking with other inlets both sides- for example to make a long curved inlet, like b727 or tu-154 middle engine. Or making hollow fuselages. Would be marvelous.

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.3 years ago

says "None-OPT out of all beta programms"

  • Steam Beta 1.5 8.3 years ago

hm... option “Select the beta you would like to opt into:” in steam is empty. Simply no list to choose from...

  • Tupolev Tu-124 1960s regional jet 8.3 years ago

Guys, sorry. Found out that front wheels are taken from old model with improper wheels settings - too slippery. Thus the plane has problems turning on the ground. Should i reupload the plane?

  • Tupolev TU-160 8.3 years ago

@REW Ok. By the way, if you edit your xml files, and i bet you do, there is a "URL=" line in the 2-3 line of file. Download your current creation, copy that URL from there, past in new one, upload - and it will be linked to the original one in a "successors" section and all your followers will receive a notification that you updated the model.

  • Tupolev TU-160 8.3 years ago

@REW Thats the question. Tried pressing G - doesnt do anything... For stock landing gear it works... I use landing gear made like yours on my models, but i operate it with VTOL slider + AG1.

Did you mount the wings on hinge rotators? I did so (but i agree, the model was smaller) - and they showed not a sign of such behavior.

  • Tupolev TU-160 8.3 years ago

    Pretty good. Only two questions:
    1) why do wings bounce so much on their joints? That never happened to my planes with variable wings geometry
    2) how to retract landing gear?

    +1
  • Tu-314 8.3 years ago

well, guys, i ve noticed a mistake - there is a redundant air inlet below the left engine - please delete it if playing this model.

  • Tu-124-21 v0.23 8.3 years ago

    @ElysiumDarkness - i've uploaded a corrected version. See https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/jr3kkf/Tu-124B-1960s-regional-jet

  • Tu-124-21 v0.23 8.3 years ago

@ElysiumDarkness It's not so difficult to do. What controls you want to make less sensitive? Roll? Pitch? How much?

  • Tu-124-21 v0.23 8.3 years ago

@ChiChiWerx I've found a plugin that allows altering parts coordinates in game. Dull, but doable)

@Mudkip Sorry to say, but although i've been playing for months, this is my firs upload and i don't know how to feature the plane... Any help?

  • Tu-134B-3 v0.84 8.3 years ago

Finishing the earlier Tu-124 (early version of the same plane with wing-root mounted engines) and fictional early version of Myasichev M-4 strategic bomber, will upload soon.
