@MarshallLewisAerospace use whatever you like, no problem. Take a look at my Vendetta bomb bay too, it may be even more to your liking. As for the control problems, I never had any breakages or uncommanded control inputs , so I don't know what to say. Take it apart and have a look to see if you can improve it.
Tip top old chap! Didn't know about this particular aircraft, but your assessment of the post-war aircraft industry is faultless. Roll over and play dead comes to mind... Anyway, with full flaps and 33% throttle I got a controlled landing at 190, but she did eat up all of Yeager's runway. Very stable though, a true airliner.
@MEERKAT Can you help a cretin? When you want to join a challenge, what's the drill? Download, then what? Is there some arcane upload sequence from the normal builder, or do I build in a specific build environment and upload as normal?
@Baduba thanks for the comment, man. Upvotes are nice but not the reason I build. If I'm satisfied and I get some positivity from guys like yourself, then that's cool.
Makes me want to go drink the de-icing fluid and frolic naked in the snow on some isolated Soviet airbase somewhere near the North Cape. Well, not really. Top drawer job old bean.
@Gemista I just researched it. It was really a ducted fan design but with a really average 670 hp Isotta Fraschini L. 121/R.C. 40 piston engine as the power supply. Half-cocked comes to mind...
If your build reflects the true characteristics of this "jet" somebody was joking. I'll have to dig into the history of this particular model. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
@GhostHTX Much obliged, old boy. I have a nice little Italian surprise winging Simple Planes way shortly. Have a dekko when it's up, and let me know your thoughts.
Lovely little flyer! You've surpassed yourself yet again, old Top! As soon as I figure out how to spotlight, I shall indulge in that little pastime for yourself and a few of our esteemed brethren.
Deary me, 'twould seem you have beateth me to a quirky Eyetie bird! I shall be uploading my build of the Aerfer Sagittario 2 (and downloading your Caproni) when I get back to my computer later, good Sir.
@GhostHTX One of these days I'll have a stab at the Lincoln derivative, the venerable Shack. Many a happy but confusing hour spent bumbling all over the Iceland Faeroes gap searching for Bears under the "control" of a myopic, half deaf AEO from 8 Sqn.
20 years RAF service and you chaps top me in the 1940s banter stakes. What is the world coming to? On my phone ATM but will download ASAP (the Scottish town too). Keep up the good work troops!
Cool overall design, I know how tough the Lightning is to build, check my version out. It had (has) a roll problem too - and I've no idea why. Someone suggested it was the "mirror" function, so you might want to check that out.
@KASA yeah, the eccessive flex was my problem too, and when I nudged the wing in far enough so as not to flex, the actuator and rod came through the wing surface while the wing stayed put. Doh! It's probably just me.
@ChiChiWerx Thanks for the input. Trying to get the design close compromised the handling, and I'm not up to speed with Simple Planes tweaks yet. I applied yours to my original build and managed to improve the CG. Thanks again.
Thanks for the heads-up. Are these mods downloadable? The Lightning was also my favourite a/c as a kid, so I consider myself exceptionally privileged to have flown her. I love the Harrier too, obvously, and choosing an overall favourite is difficult. @RamboJutter
I'm probably the least likely candidate for hero status, but yes, the Lightning was gloriously overpowered and nothing else came close for sheer adrenaline rush.@GhostHTX
@Mustang51 glad you took the time to try it out
@mikoyanster thanks man!
@Ephwurd Thanks, appreciate it.
@Mustang51 thanks! Let me know your thoughts
@EternalDarkness Can do. Sorry, too much stuff too little time!
@MarshallLewisAerospace use whatever you like, no problem. Take a look at my Vendetta bomb bay too, it may be even more to your liking. I raise an eyebrow and softly say "Fascinating..."
Well done, she looks the part and flies really well too

Great build of a rare aircraft. Spotlighted and upvoted. Well done old chap!
@Tang0five thanks old chap!
Well, bust my braces old chap - you've outdone yourself this time
The weird and wonderful Sea Vixen. Epic build, old chap!
I'll prepare to be humiliated Sled Driver, old chap.
I'm in. All I have to do now is figure out how to make/adjust bombs... Oh, doh! is me.
@MEERKAT978 Thanks brother. See you in the skies.

@papermanplane thanks matey!
@GhostHTX really? Oh, ok. ;-)
@GhostHTX Grazie vecchio fagiolo! (Thanks old bean). Have you taken her for a spin yet? She's quite a nifty little dogfighter!
@nuke778 thanks bro.
Absolutely spiffing old boy!
@Baduba hope I don't disappoint! All the best, bro.
@Baduba thanks for the comment, man. Upvotes are nice but not the reason I build. If I'm satisfied and I get some positivity from guys like yourself, then that's cool.
Thanks @Baduba

Sweet!
@GhostHTX absolutely spiffing, old chap. Comments no more than deserved. Be sure to check out my soon to be uploaded Eyetie also-ran. See you sky-side

Thanks, really appreciate your comment!

@GhostHTX point taken old boy. My advice would be to avoid big lasses in dark woods. Pip pip, and all that. :-D

@KASA If you're talking about my build, I put nosewheel steering on roll input with 15° of arc. Were you trying to steer with yaw input?

@KASA great job, man - and quick too.
@MEERKAT978 go for it! And thanks for the comment.
@ChiChiWerx mutual follower this end!
@Ephwurd Thanks bro!

@Razor3278 High praise indeed. Thanks man!
@Dzeta8 Appreciate your comment.
@EternalDarkness Thanks.
Well! to coin a phrase this is just FAB. OK, Sorry. Great job though, I don't know how you do it.
