An xml input for fuelBurn or useOldFuelBurn would be useful, as then it keeps older builds more realistic/less broken (like the kitfox then having an endurance of ~20hrs, 8x the irl endurance)
if you use a magnet on a winch on a crane (like Feanor's Heavy Lift Ship-1989), and make it pick up the aircraft by the top of the fuselage (examples: 123), that should be able to recover it. another magnet on the seaplane's hull will allow it to attach to the ship to avoid slipping.
@OrangeBoardEnterprise I’m fairly certain @TheFantasticTyphoon is referring to Operation Black Buck with the victors, and possibly to either the B-2 Spirit bombings of Kosovo or Operation Chrome Dome with the KC-135s
It would be possible, although one of the reasons I didn’t is because control allocation is a challenge sometimes, and the turret would either have to share a control input or be restricted by one degree of freedom. I could make another aircraft, such as a Hudson, and give that a turret instead. @TheOwlAce
Your Ekranoplan looks quite good, especially with the hull, and performs well. In terms of the flight characteristics, I know why my ekranoplan bobs, but I have no clue on how to reduce/remove it while still flying as intended.@Mickk
All the specified XML values have been modified. For a single shot weapon, the ammo count or burst count (I can’t remember) has to be modified as well @AircraftoftheRedStar
One system, which requires some work, is using rotators to drive propellers that counteract the buoyancy, such as in @GYORAI’s N-2
Another, more simple system is to use pistons to raise and lower buoyant blocks, with the hull suspended underneath, such as in my USS Dallas and Surcouf
@AndrewGarrison upgrading works, although downloading this it took three attempts: the first it asked if i had the latest version of the game, the second it said there was no internet and the third it went to 3906% before downloading
I think it may be an issue unrelated to the beta, as multiple users, myself included, are unable to download or upload builds on Mac. I am using SP 1.7, and although I did change to the beta twice I was able to download builds until a few days ago, which was around when the website had a certificate issue, which may or may not be the problem @Minecraftpoweer
The post will be downloadable, although in the designer there is a message saying that the design uses mods and that they can’t be loaded. The designer will then have the new aircraft (cockpit & blocks). By undoing and redoing, it is possible to load the design, which will be without mods.
TL;DR: Yes, by undoing and redoing in the designer
Because it will do something that sounds similar, where the aircraft will suddenly jerk around, sometimes to the extent that it stalls @vcharng
I mean in terms of flight characteristics. You can see what I mean if you do a trench run in it for long enough @vcharng
Is it similar to This?
An xml input for
+2fuelBurn
oruseOldFuelBurn
would be useful, as then it keeps older builds more realistic/less broken (like the kitfox then having an endurance of ~20hrs, 8x the irl endurance)I have the same issue on a MacBook Pro 2015 with builds of 1765 and 2600 parts, going from ~25-40fps to ~2-6fps when nudging
Never mind, I was thinking of the Mod class @Avro683Lancaster @drgunblood
It’s an unlimited class, and as I remember xml is allowed for those @drgunblood
this is a chart of all of the main islands from Wright, as well as other things
Man and machine and nothing there in between
+5The flying circus and a man from Prussia
Because this is what i have the issue with. (I started it in December) @sheepsblood
What aircraft have had it happened for you, as I want to try and identify a common factor @sheepsblood
@sheepsblood @Marine I have a similar issue with a P-40 i'm making, although instead of exploding it just jumps around, sometimes into the ground
if you use a magnet on a winch on a crane (like Feanor's Heavy Lift Ship-1989), and make it pick up the aircraft by the top of the fuselage (examples: 1 2 3), that should be able to recover it. another magnet on the seaplane's hull will allow it to attach to the ship to avoid slipping.
+2I think I have that same laptop
Although I haven’t used it in a while because it doesn’t run well
What is the standard height of the coupling magnets?
@SnoWFLakE0s if you edit the input xml, making it
min: -1 max +1
it will travel the same distance each way@OrangeBoardEnterprise I’m fairly certain @TheFantasticTyphoon is referring to Operation Black Buck with the victors, and possibly to either the B-2 Spirit bombings of Kosovo or Operation Chrome Dome with the KC-135s
+1All in need to do now is finish it@QingyuZhou
2. Max part count: 1000. Oh well
are sail powered vessels (like WahrscheinlichIch's Windjammer) disqualified
Is this eligible?
Its a successor in the sense of a continual cloud backup system sort of thing
I prefer more freedom, as it allows for better aiming, although I don’t often fly with AI aircraft on, and im not good at aiming anyway. @TheOwlAce

Are you antivax? @WhyAreWeHere
There is a section which is RotorPerfScalars @Falkenwut
+1That’s a mk.20
Operation Ten-Go 2: Electric Boogaloo
+236sqn Herc
@Irobert55 @Phantom1 “is it a ship or a plane?” “Well yes, but actually no”
Your Ekranoplan looks quite good, especially with the hull, and performs well. In terms of the flight characteristics, I know why my ekranoplan bobs, but I have no clue on how to reduce/remove it while still flying as intended.@Mickk
@InternationalAircraftCompany its in the xml settings, under a section called
RotorPerfScalars
@Killercam250 it should be in Finder
@Killercam250 are you on Mac?
@Killercam250 the old folder is in the same location
@Killercam250 Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ [User] ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX
On mac (I don't know about any other platforms) the file location has changed from Unity.Jundroo.SimplePlanes to com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX
+2i think the issue was related to the mad website outages today
The burst count is the in game default @AircraftoftheRedStar
All the specified XML values have been modified. For a single shot weapon, the ammo count or burst count (I can’t remember) has to be modified as well @AircraftoftheRedStar
It should be the improved version @AircraftoftheRedStar
make a LASH like the MS München

+1I also have that issue, with a macbook pro 2015 running macOS 10.14.2, with the steam version of SP
5 or 7
You can find the post under https://www.simpleplanes.com/Blog @Rub3n213
