“We allow a wide variety of uploads that are not actually airplanes. However, we do reserve the right to remove posts if they are too far off-topic” I get this is for builds, but to an extent that section can be applied to the forums as well
My understanding of the featuring system is that a mod or dev sees a post that they like, and have the ability to feature it. There is no specific automatic requirement for featuring, except that the mod or dev likes the post. This means that a build that has five upvotes, a build that is three years old or a build with only two parts have the same chance of being featured, the only difference being whether or not a mod or dev think it should be featured
An xml input for fuelBurn or useOldFuelBurn would be useful, as then it keeps older builds more realistic/less broken (like the kitfox then having an endurance of ~20hrs, 8x the irl endurance)
if you use a magnet on a winch on a crane (like Feanor's Heavy Lift Ship-1989), and make it pick up the aircraft by the top of the fuselage (examples: 123), that should be able to recover it. another magnet on the seaplane's hull will allow it to attach to the ship to avoid slipping.
@AndrewGarrison upgrading works, although downloading this it took three attempts: the first it asked if i had the latest version of the game, the second it said there was no internet and the third it went to 3906% before downloading
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. A Stanley Kubrick black comedy about an insane general who scrambled his Air wing of B-52s, the crew of one of these bombers, and the us president and other generals trying to stop the bombers. It has some great lines, such as “Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!”
I think this is more of a B.5 Upwards rather than a B.1, as the b.1 has the dome canopy, and the mk.5 was the first variant with the offset fighter canopy
@Minecraftpoweer it shows only the most recently highlighted builds, for example i have more highlighted builds than are visible, the oldest one just gets pushed out of the visible range.
@SnoWFLakE0s The Lead Angle calculation method is correct, as i have done almost exactly the same thing, although in the context of intercepting a ship with another ship. The Target Velocity calculation looks like it works, although only if the ship is travelling parallel to the target. It may be possible to add a "Delta-Range" function to determine the perpendicular factor as well, although i understand that it may complicate input, operation and programming.
Apart from that, however, the system looks as though it will work effectively as it stands currently.
@OrangeBoardEnterprise I’m fairly certain @TheFantasticTyphoon is referring to Operation Black Buck with the victors, and possibly to either the B-2 Spirit bombings of Kosovo or Operation Chrome Dome with the KC-135s
I think it may be an issue unrelated to the beta, as multiple users, myself included, are unable to download or upload builds on Mac. I am using SP 1.7, and although I did change to the beta twice I was able to download builds until a few days ago, which was around when the website had a certificate issue, which may or may not be the problem @Minecraftpoweer
@NathanMikeska also I think part explosions may be broken as I ran an aircraft's wing into a bridge and it sheared off. following that, the aircraft ran into the ground and disintegrated, without explosions. This was done with mods enabled, as it was after I had re-enabled them.
On MacOS the frame rate has taken a hit, as the same 125-part aircraft has gone from running at around 30fps to around 7fps. Mods, graphics settings, and AI traffic are the same with both
I would assume that, if it’s your creation, you can do whatever with it, but if it’s someone else’s then you would need permission @s5ehfr9
What do the Devs say @AndrewGarrison

+2clamp01()
shouldn't be necessary when using boolean operators, I would instead suggestAirspeed>X ? rate(RollAngle) : 0
