What I often do if I can't precisely locate and fix the issue, is just disabling collisions of every single part.
I just open the XML file of the aircraft, and add the collision attribute using Search and Replace (Ctrl+H)
I love that you asked here.
Make a plane out of it.
Ya know, the usual stuff, somewhere on youtube somebody used a leafblower (or a hairdryer?) engine to power a plane, at it was pretty dank. And the 25CC is pretty powerful
It is better to have a long and thin control surface, rather than a massive one. Stacking multiple horizontal stabilizers into each other may also help.
Download some maneuverable planes an feel free to dissect them and reverse-engineer them
Yes. Four new options for startup sound, running sound, idle sound and pitch modifier with the possibility to change them via XML. This is how many games do their engine sounds.
@Rodrigo110 an OS is as secure as its user allows it to be. You don't need antivirus, firewall, or Windows defender on your PC as long as you know what you're doing. Obviously, if you share your public IP, if you download games from "freeapknovirusipromise.clickbait.download.co.uk", and if you connect to untrusted WLAN networks, then its your problem. iOS could do something like Android with it disabling third party sources by default, with the user being able to enable them on his/her own behalf.
@DarthAbhinav2 well, the thing is, that there are newcomers who want to use this mod, but can't because the original was deleted. My reason for uploading this was only to keep consistency.
Many people were aware of your departure as soon as it happened, and only recently were there multiple talks about the mod.
You can always upload it back from this account, and I will have no problem removing it
@JelloAircraftCorporation someone made a worm in SP and got many upvotes, so everyone joined the bandwagon with a vision of upvotes for nothing more than reposting and slightly modifying. Needless to say, that didn't work out for them so now we have hundreds of unoriginal worm creations plaguing the site with only a handful of them with more than two upvotes. The banan, on the other hand, brought more creativity into the mix as people actually were forced to stab a banana and take a picture of it. That is why I don't want it to become and other stale meme in SP as people will start to repost sh*it and expect fame.
And as a wise man once said; just my two cents tho
I'd rather imagine an option to pick a successor that will be promoted when someone wants to download the plane, so it would say something like "A new version of [this plane] has been uploaded by the author. Do you want to download it? Yes/No"
That would prevent any potential misuse that editing completed posts would bring
@ScreamingApe EXCUS me but I refuse to believe that. My underpowered, overheating, weird-buzz-producing, dualcore Celeron can handle 1000 parts with not much trouble, using integrated graphics and all of that running under Wine on Linux. This is a laptop that was considered obsolete when it came out, nearly seven years ago.
AFAIK the 797 is intended to be used together with the 737, hence the term "MOM" (middle of market). The 797 is basically a beefed up 737, it will have longer range than the 737, it will carry more people than the 737, but it will not cross into the market of the 777/787/A330.
Currently there is a high demand for long-haul, (relatively) low-capacity direct routes between non-hub airports.
Coincidentally, I have already made a basic chart visualizing the capacity/range ratio based on real values, and you can clearly see the blank gap in the middle, with B797 nicely placed in there.
It would also make no sense for Boeing to be developing a new aircraft intended to replace their bestseller that is still being actively ordered in large quantities.
Of course, some planes will get replaced, but only in those cases where the airline is forced to used a plane that is much larger than what is required, which is a good thing for airlines because they can take their 777s/787s/A330s from routes with low load factor and use them somewhere where they will be much more profitable. Also, it will be a great plane for Transport Tycoon that I will surely use to connect those pesky towns that are too small to fill my A380s >:C
@Mustang51 here is the refined version. It is 50mph faster, looks better, can take off without any fuel, and also is less likely to stall and fall and crash and burn and die
@Feanor @MrSilverWolf yea thank you but that server is somewhere near Singapore and I am literally at the opposite side of the planet so the ping is unbearable :/
@asteroidbook345 full disclosure the wings are a subassembly from one of my previous planes, it started off as a placeholder but I really like how it looks and it even makes sense within my epic lore. The engines are newly built just for this though
@TheFlightGuySP yeah exactly but the shape of the fuselage wont change mid-game, so it would boil down to just calculating the same thing as if it was a wing at a specific angle
@TheFlightGuySP would it though, you could just run the calculations once for each fuselage block and just substitute it for a "virtual wing" with an equivalent amount of lift

+2I just open the XML file of the aircraft, and add the collision attribute using Search and Replace (Ctrl+H)
@Chancey21 oh no I'm going to lose all of my 1 customers
+2@RodWan K I took the dot out, here it is -> .
+2I love that you asked here.
+2Make a plane out of it.

@Chancey21 or maybe a new physics option - "Very High", that would increase the tick speed an decrease simulation speed.
+2Where we're going we don't need roads!
+2It is actually better than I pictured it, nice work!
+2So, would you be ok with this becoming a map addon?
@Seitwalder @Wahoo12 tbh the checker flag looks the best. I don't know why, but it fits the name as well
+2It is better to have a long and thin control surface, rather than a massive one. Stacking multiple horizontal stabilizers into each other may also help.

Yes. Four new options for startup sound, running sound, idle sound and pitch modifier with the possibility to change them via XML. This is how many games do their engine sounds.
+2nice, you have planes parked on the wall over there
+2@CursedFlames yes, I often join one of the two servers and many times there's someone on.
+2How long is your index finger?

I have it cuz it works on Linux but idk if you should be advertising it here
+2Wait I hear something whispering into my ear...
Linux support
+2thank you Garry Anderson
+2Oh damn, that is pretty E D G Y

@Chancey21 @F104Deathtrap @Mostly Thanks for suggestions btw! I am now thinking about making part two this evening.
+2I like the unit cost estimate
+2@breitling oh god lets not imagine that shall we
+2@F104Deathtrap I'm actually glad that they feature only good planes, if only there was a way to list all planes that were ever featured
+2@FastDan maybe russians hacked the election
+2Just install Steam through wine. Thats how I did it. But why am I helping you! You just called a magnificent Linux computer a "craptop" >:C
linux mint master race
+2how do you get grounded and then take your mom's phone to play SP

+2I am very uncomfortable

+2woosh
+2If it runs SP, then most likely it will run SR2, because both games are optimized for mobile devices
+2nice
+2@ACMECo1940 read "How to install", except use Mac mod folder instead. I do not own a Mac so i can't tell you where it is
+2I admit; I was #prankd
+2@Feanor @MrSilverWolf yea thank you but that server is somewhere near Singapore and I am literally at the opposite side of the planet so the ping is unbearable :/
+2@airlinerbuilder not the first time not the last
+1@MA2211c thats what the auto credit does
+1@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII yeah someone needs to upvote it quickly because it has just positioned itself right next to the world trade center
+1@alexJgameYTukraine @BigAeroplane

+1@TheFlightGuySP ferram aerodynamics mod in KSP does this I think so it's not unthinkable
+1@TheFlightGuySP yeah exactly but the shape of the fuselage wont change mid-game, so it would boil down to just calculating the same thing as if it was a wing at a specific angle
+1with that said though I am perfectly fine with how things are right now

+1great flight today, if you upload any footage please notify me, thanks!
+1im going to block you right now as a matter of fact
+1@Sakorsky yes exactly
