@UAviator the young men who flew these planes got very attached to them, and saw each one as "their girl". If the pilot wanted to paint his wife or girlfriend on the fuselage, I think there's nothing better than that, even as cool as the patriotic ones are
@Spikerya they didn't just abandon the negotiations, they failed. The aliens were never going to peacefully give up their resources, despite the fact they had no use for them. Regardless of the circumstances, a human soldier must fight for humanity, for their families back home, and for the future of the human race. It wasn't greed that made the humans need that resource, it was vital to creating fleets of starships to evacuate humanity from an overcrowded earth. Of course it wasn't right to displace the aliens, but it was the only option available to humanity at the time. My sympathy will always align with that of humanity
@1918 there is no logic, making a joke about a deadly accident is exactly what an edgy joke is. It's not funny, it's a terrible "joke" and isn't appropriate, but making a forum about this kind of thing will literally do nothing to stop people from doing stupid stuff like this
@Dathcha they'd be just as much of a terrible person as the guy who made the joke on this post.
The devs really need to focus on the ai for the next update. If they could just refine it and make the ai dogfights actually work, the game would be so much better
@HAOCHENG yes, the PLAAF used Mig-19s, this is a hypothetical look at what a Mig-19 in ROCAF service would look like, based on ROC fighters of the 50s and 60s
@Spikerya humanity first, that's how I see it. The US was not fighting for its very survival during manifest destiny, rendering that analogy at best, flawed. Besides, the RDA attempted negotiations. Once those failed, violence was the only option. Saving humanity was the only choice to make. What were they supposed to do? Capitulate and doom humanity? Or fight it out in a last ditch effort? The humans may have not been the good guys, but they weren't the bad guys either, just caught up in a messy situation.
@BogdanX yeah true, everybody upvotes for their own reason, I can't judge yours. I do remember challenges a couple of years ago all being pretty cool, maybe it was the site being more active or the presentation and engagement, either way they were all really good and creative
@Flewey it's actually super easy, just follow this tutorial https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/1454422/So-Jundroo-accidentally-added-1-part-custom-images-to-the-game
@Walvis I'm building a Mitsubishi G3M, which, while being classified as a medium bomber, doesn't have an internal bomb bay, and carries its bombs or torpedoes on racks under the fuselage. Would you still accept this for the challenge, even though it doesn't meet that requirement?
@ManManTheWeaponsMan post this stuff in a forum. Posting just a cockpit part with your wip screenshot doesn't belong in the finished builds section of the website
@BogdanX I agree of course that a cockpit part challenge post has a lot less effort, and I love seeing the really complex fuselage art stuff, but don't you agree that its better to upvote what looks like a legit challenge from a high points user just so it stays high up on the hottest planes page so more people see it?
@BogdanX come on man, giving an upvote to a challenge isnt you saying "omg this build is so good", its just so more people see that a challenge is happening. Not sure why making your entry a successor to a one part challenge post is an issue, everybody knows you built it yourself for the challenge
Hey man, you probably haven't looked at this in a while, but for some reason it works perfectly for me until i roll the plane a bit, and then it stops working at all
that dude's gotta have ocd or something, he loves having a completely blank profile
+6some users don't even think Tiawan is a country, so naturally they get into arguments with the people who know it in fact is a country
+5@UAviator the young men who flew these planes got very attached to them, and saw each one as "their girl". If the pilot wanted to paint his wife or girlfriend on the fuselage, I think there's nothing better than that, even as cool as the patriotic ones are

+5MISSION EDITOR
+4@Vincent I think the automod removed this, could you put it back up since it doesn’t break any rules?
+4@BeastHunter worst case scenario I have to deal with what bjac0 did with one of his posts, as described in this forum post
+4@1918 there is no logic, making a joke about a deadly accident is exactly what an edgy joke is. It's not funny, it's a terrible "joke" and isn't appropriate, but making a forum about this kind of thing will literally do nothing to stop people from doing stupid stuff like this

Quite impressive, but functionally useless for most people. Part efficiency is an important thing
+3This deserves so many more upvotes! The gunsight mechanics are so cool
+3Beat me too it! Literally building a Mig-29 right now, gonna paint it in his livery
+3@BeastHunter oh it should all be good fun
+3The devs really need to focus on the ai for the next update. If they could just refine it and make the ai dogfights actually work, the game would be so much better
+2@HAOCHENG yes, the PLAAF used Mig-19s, this is a hypothetical look at what a Mig-19 in ROCAF service would look like, based on ROC fighters of the 50s and 60s
+2This reminds me so much of Ravenfield
+2@AndrewGarrison thank you! The wheel tweak is fine, glad it works better for VR now!
+2@Spikerya humanity first, that's how I see it. The US was not fighting for its very survival during manifest destiny, rendering that analogy at best, flawed. +2Really fun idea!
+1@BogdanX yeah true, everybody upvotes for their own reason, I can't judge yours. I do remember challenges a couple of years ago all being pretty cool, maybe it was the site being more active or the presentation and engagement, either way they were all really good and creative

+1@WinsWings sorry for being a day late on the challenge
+1@MisterT at night, the clouds stay bright white, how are the clouds so dark like in your 6th thumbnail photo?
+1@Walvis I'm building a Mitsubishi G3M, which, while being classified as a medium bomber, doesn't have an internal bomb bay, and carries its bombs or torpedoes on racks under the fuselage. Would you still accept this for the challenge, even though it doesn't meet that requirement?
+1Wow this is amazing! Could you make one of these oil convoys but with the wing guns instead of the flak cannons?
+1@Hymn I tagged this as a “replica” because it is a replica of a Mig-19
+1A mission editor with the ability to spawn in multiple enemy planes, as well as friendly allied ones would be amazing
+1This is really cool! I wish I could hook up my spektrum transmitter to fly this thing, it feels like I'm flying a real drone!
+1@Alisuchanka how'd you get Russian characters on the label part?
+1@ManManTheWeaponsMan post this stuff in a forum. Posting just a cockpit part with your wip screenshot doesn't belong in the finished builds section of the website
+1@Chancey21 I loved the movie, before watching it I'd never even heard of the Dune franchise before, but now I'm eagerly waiting for part 2
+1Dude, just stop with the cringe swastika. This is clearly not an appropriate use of it
+1I love it! Thought for sure that I'd be the first to build this ornithopter, but I guess you beat me to it!
+1@EternalDarkness thanks so much! Yeah I more built this to be a simple, fun to fly craft
+1@EternalDarkness thanks! Yeah the acceleration always bugged me when building this
+1@Vincent can you make this a successor to this challenge? Idk what happened with the successor system
+1@MartTheAviator fictional? Clearly a Blackburn Firebrand
+1too many furries
+1Perfect for blowing up aliens! By far the best Samson I've seen on SP
+1Excellent!
+1FISH
Great work! Only thing I'd mention is that the rudder rotates the wrong way
Looks nice! I'd suggest using the "bare" wing landing gear parts instead of the old ones, they tend to look a bit better

where da pixels at
@realSavageMan Oh yeah that makes sense, thanks!
