jokes aside been very cool to help with it. it’s amazing how well driving models have progressed in sp in the last little period
hopefully will have the time to make a miata of similar quality in due course (I say this and it won’t happen)
@KPLBall wrong way around the BT was produced after the Texan. They’re also completely unrelated designs the only commonality they have being their year of first flight. Note that the BT is a Northrop product, the NA-16 / T-6 being a North American Aviation product.
Wirraway was based on the NA-16 and only the NA-16. Can’t see how you think it’s related to the SBD or BT
@LunarEclipseSP it will come - unfortunately very busy and unable to judge as I do not have my Vr / pc with me.
Unless I just judge it flatscreen which isn’t optimal.
I will leave entries open until 17th of January 2025 - I’m quite busy currently with things irl.
@MrPigee @MrCOPTY
@BARREND As indicated in the rules yes it can be anything as long as it works in VR.
Please note that if you do build something I can test it for you if you upload it unlisted and @Kangy for me to test - I will provide feedback and you can tune the build.
@LunarEclipseSP yes you’re all good
Will close on the 30th
I’ve wanted to get my build out prior so I can use it as a judging example but I doubt I will at this point in time
@SPsidearm yep
it’s far better that way anyway it means that the devs can make it for the pc first and foremost and then scale it back for mobile devices
are you using control bases? you can make them bottom out so that you won’t have chance of the chassis’ floor hitting the ground unless you high centre the car for whatever reason
Wings that make lift and stall correctly (just change lift and drag to suit what the actual symmetric, semi, flat and nacaprop airfoil would do but keep the old wings in game files so builds port over well)
Props that aren’t basically reskinned jets
Fuselages with cross section editing (flyout style)
Livery editor (again like flyout)
I’m certainly on the simulator side of the community which I want things that others may not - however aerospace was never meant to be “simple“
Most importantly the devs need to communicate with the player base, biggest positive I’ve seen for SR2 is the roadmap page.
Vietnam was thought as a block in a line of Asian countries which would turn to communism.
Essentially the west wanted to contain this spread throughout Asia which was achieved, only 5 communist states remain which is a lot less than the 16 at its peak.
DEADLINE EXTENDED:
30th of December 2024
A reminder to entrants that you can have me test your build for you once before you enter.
Just upload it unlisted then tag me and I’ll test and give some feedback then go ahead and polish the build and enter
@AndrewGarrison WNP pointed out in the pastebin that openXR had a problem - turns out a recent quest 3 update put a bug in one of the basic APIs for OpenXR. I just turned it off and it worked.
@rexzion no shot I’m looking at getting one later this year :)
ow e tee tee

@LunarEclipseSP it will come - unfortunately very busy and unable to judge as I do not have my Vr / pc with me.

@Axartar it needs successorship to be in the challenge - you can change the build's xml file to suit or get one of the mods to help
I will leave entries open until 17th of January 2025 - I’m quite busy currently with things irl.

Was previously called Alta but I’m Australian and that’s my one defining feature apparently hence my name
+3@SPsidearm yep

@Krikkit42 it’s both a win and a great loss. Is what I’m saying - my comment is more an addition to the “hurdur we lost “

does it esplode like the real ones
So it’s not technically 3.7 years in the making because you didn’t spend that amount of time working on it. It’s just sat there for that long
Not technically 10 yet, launch was 10/12/14. The Corsair turned ten though - pretty sure it was to test if the site worked
Do you have a quest 3? A recent update broke an openXr runtime so the game won’t start.
+1If so you have to disable open xr which isn’t hard
