This is really good! The cockpit section looks great (and i know first hand how hard that is... lol) and i was really surprised to see that it had flaps too! This kind of build quality is what I'd expect from someone with thousands of points, good job!
PS: I recommend zooming in further with the thumbnail. I usually like the first one to be the full plane, as large as I can make it without leaving wingtips or something out. Then the second and third would be close-up shots of parts of my plane that I think are really good. For example, I probably would take a picture of the cockpit and one of the engines for the second and third image
It also has to do with your reputation (not related to popularity). Players who make well presented and detailed forum posts will have a good reputation because they stick in other people's minds as having good stuff to say. This means people will be more likely to read and comment in the future. Things like making multiple posts about the same topic, asking confusing/unspecific questions, or just complaining about things (like not getting comments on a forum post) earns a reputation that will make people less willing to be of assistance in the future
Would be really useful, but I wonder how the attach points on the inside would work. It would probably be hell to get things where you wanted if the hole was somewhat small (if you were using it to make an interior for example)
Awesome. Too bad the VTOL doesn't have the torque to keep the drive wheel at a constant speed when changing gears tho. That's not you're fault tho, this is a really cool design
@Alienbeef0421 disabling auto orient makes the gyro wonky, but it's pretty expected I think. You might be right about the. barrel roll thing, but it's the gyros job to keep barrel rolls and stuff from happening so probably just disable their activation group for doing things like that. For third point however, i absolutely agree with you. There's been a couple builds I've wanted to make where I needed torque but no stability and I couldn't do it
@SledDriver the AI is the real challenge isn't it lol. And I think people are hoping for it to not have tight turns, but nobody really knows anything except that top speed is important. And for those using ocean view as a test track low 40s is the fastest times I've seen posted
And it may seem like points are the only factor, but they're not. The reason "good" builders get lots of upvotes is bc of their follower base, and they've spent a lot of time practicing their building techniques. I'm by no means a pro builder, in skill or points, but I'm better and have more followers than when I was bronze. That means my planes get more attention, and they're better than some of my first, even if I tried my hardest on them. Time on an individual plane won't make it amazing, it'll make it as good as you can do. You need lots of practice on many planes to make significant strides towards build quality
@UssInvincible if you make the fuselage exactly the shape you want it then make the length negative it'll be see through as well. Just two different ways to accomplish the same thing
Yes please. This is such a nightmare on iOS It's even worse when I'm using a scaled fuselage block and a regular nosecone, because it doesn't recognise scaling so it auto snaps to a size that doesn't even fit and i have to go look for a nosecone with the same scale somewhere on this website
@Baconartor9000 you get 50 points per win, 500 for winning the whole bracket, and plenty of people will upvote your plane if you do win so you'll get plenty of points

This link where it says image link. Images don't work in comments so it needs to be in the post section. Also copying the link to any image in Google images will give you a link that works
@Visify yeah I'll be mostly buying a laptop myself so I'll have money for the game should I not win the tournament, but I also wouldn't turn down a free stream key haha
@JayAr when editing your description it'll look like the text and link, but once you save changes it will look like a picture in your bio (assuming everything is typed right)
All you need to do is mention who you want to talk to in the comments section of an unlisted plane and you'll be able to talk there without others seeing
Mine does 42 seconds on oceanview, which is 14 seconds faster than the DCGI Solano that won that tournament. It uses a new kind of flight that I've implemented in race planes before, but it is vastly improved as shown by the time (I'm just using oceanview as a baseline)
@jamesPLANESii I looked at that distance too. The distance from wright to sky park city and back is also 65km but I think it's more likely to be wright to krakabloa
@Fjorge that's good to hear haha
@Lahoski107 it's all good, you know now

I sense another demonic recreation of Andrew Garrison incoming lol
would any of these work for you?
@XjayIndustrys nope! I'm on iOS so no mods needed
Would be really useful, but I wonder how the attach points on the inside would work. It would probably be hell to get things where you wanted if the hole was somewhat small (if you were using it to make an interior for example)
@22zxSnakeEyes andrew said you could get an iOS/android/etc. code if you have it on steam already

@AndrewGarrison awesome!!

@Generalkeath I doubt he made a new island. This is just a new course that's not in game
@TheBroadside definitely, that's the armament I liked too
Rotators and structural panels/thin fuselage blocks
@AudioDud3 you might be right, but given the other devs surprise upon seeing this I think he told the truth
@AudioDud3 Andrew said he was the only Dev who's seen the track
If you need your helicopter to be lighter you can also use negative mass fuel tanks
@SledDriver unfortunately that's probably a reference I don't get lol
It looks like a flying sin(x)
EDIT: I read the name and now I feel dumb lmao
@Baconartor9000 you get 50 points per win, 500 for winning the whole bracket, and plenty of people will upvote your plane if you do win so you'll get plenty of points
@JayAr no problem!
@JayAr hmm. Make sure it's all plane text aside from the image, but I've never seen that before so I'm not sure how to fix it

@JayAr if you copy the address of the image it should have .PNG or some other image tag at the end already
@Visify I really want it. I'm looking forward to leaving the days of mod request forum posts and aircraft dissection behind

It should be
![](image link.png)
(The rectangle is two brackets btw)
+2Never seen a plane with 4 separate mods before. I should be getting a computer soon, so let's hope this tournament goes well so I use these mods lol
@jamesPLANESii what's it's top speed?
@Himynameiswalrus impressive
@Himynameiswalrus does it even turn tho?
Sorry if you've started working on the airbrakes, but I've updated the build and don't need them anymore
@Lahoski107 it says top speed is important in the first hint
@TheCrazyInsanity thanks
The curves... The sleekness... The part count...
Nice haha
You can search helicopters that other people have made and take theirs. There are also scaled props that people have made
Just goes to imgur homepage
I'm pretty sure it's a race from Wright to Krakabloa. That distance is 56km and with some turns or a loop around the island it could get to 65km
EDIT: or Wright to Sky Park City and back..
heres what I meant about limiting the compression. Its really basic but it helps things not break when you do something really really stupid lol
Upvotes on planes and forum posts get you points
