@AndrewGarrison i suggest a piece of hollow fuselage. On the part settings you got a slider that says cute space with a persentage bare that says how mush you cut from the fuselage part. So like if it is 50% you should see that only half of that hollow fuselage is left. You can do this easily by adding this option to the original hollow part
