SimplePlanes on iOS 14, iPhone X still has a bug that basically makes pulling down both the control and notification centres impossible while in the game. When you attempt to do it, the game render switches from horizontal to vertical (whole game rotates 90°), freezes for a second or two, then returns to horizontal rendering. The game is also very choppy in the main menu.
Thank you for supporting this game for so long. You turned SimplePlanes from a simple construction game into modelling software lite, and gave us dozens of bits and bobs to play with. I've been around since before weapons were introduced, and to say I've gotten several times my money's worth would be an understatement. I'm super excited to see what game you make next, and really hope it's a follow up to SP!
Hell yes, I'm super excited for the update! Sadly, I don't have a VR headset, but I think this is an awesome thing for SP fans that do. Thanks for updating this game and making it better after all these years!
The title screen on iOS is incredibly choppy both in the beta and official release of this version, and the game is a bit buggy with orientation when using multitasking (game always initially renders vertically and then corrects itself to render horizontally on the screen). I initially thought it was a bug related to the Test Flight screenshot functionality, but it’s not, and I suspect there’s a bug in the new version of Unity. You may want to take a look at it!

1) Updates to apps have to be verified by Apple before being approved and released,
2) User-made modifications to apps are prohibited by Apple’s Terms of Service.
Of course, after uploading this I noticed I'd accidentally angled one of the fans inside the jet engine downwards on accident. You may want to correct that and reduce the diameter of the primary fan blade down to 65 inches before use.
@AndrewGarrison
Could you take a look at the ZeroOnDeactivate function in the XML editor on iOS? It always resets the value to ‘false’, and I’d honestly prefer it be set to true on 99% of my aircraft.
Modding on mobile is probably not going to happen. Lest the devs continue adding mods as togglable packages in the game, it won’t happen. It’s to do with the google play store and deep-rooted game code, I don’t know the details, but be sure to look for the explanation on the forums, as I know they’ve made a post about this.
@AndrewGarrison I think it's pretty odd that you're omitting features from the aircraft game that the community would really like, and putting it in the rocket game instead. Since WNP is now a member of the team, can't he chip away at adding those features into SP?
@AtlanticSalmon it’s already out if you signed up for the TestFlight SimplePlanes beta. The instructions on how to do that are in the post for the first version of this beta.
@Stormfur the issue with your argument is that those SR2 parts belong in SP, since those are aircraft engines, they belong in an aircraft building game
I am extremely happy to see you guys working on this game again, also very excited to try out the new beta on PC!
Do you guys plan on transferring procedural jet engines from SR2 into Sp sometime?
@PG22 The android version of the game hasn't supported modding for the last two versions or so.
+3@AndrewGarrison #bug

+3I am literally gushing over this piece of news. Can't wait to see the 1.9 feature list!!!
+3@exosuit @andrewgarrison it’d be awesome if we got the tweakable jets from SR2 in SP!!!

@SiBangsatYa They don't even know if they're making it yet, let alone have a build of the game that could incorporate that feature. Give Jundroo time.
@TWDDerSharkmarine Thank you, I appreciate it greatly!!!
@ilikeonions As the devs said themselves, this solution is very complicated to code, so it will likely never be implemented

@CrashFighter05 awesome trick, thank you!
SimpleRockets 2 has been out for a solid month and a half @Luisfaia
@BuiltBionixInd10 mostly XML modding, which was previously done exclusively on PC.
@Jonatanisla Radiators. LOTS of raditors. An a heatshield.
@Gameboi14 key word - “might”. Not “will”. Let them do their work, they’ll release it when they’re ready.
I kow I have only 105 points, but I really hope I get accepted! I'd love to dive into procedural rocket and jet engines on mobile.

@andrewgarrison you have no clue how happy I am because of these changes, many thanks for improving the UI and ease of use <3

I have no clue how you rotated a fuselage piece 45°, but I absolutely love it. Awesome aircraft!
