@Oicraftian A boom 50 does just fine, and in fact doesn't even have to score a direct hit in order to destroy all of the base defenses. The missile is supposed to be used to destroy things... That was the original purpose(the missile itself is from the 1.3 beta repurposed for this). You don't need actual air to ground missiles to destroy all the stuff there, and TBH, air to ground can get shot down by the defenses, they won't bother to shoot this. Seriously, there is no need to over-use parts that aren't entirely necessary. A boom 50 will outdo actual missiles when it comes to actual destructive force, and this has 2 on the missile.
@Oicraftian ... You do realize this is not supposed to be complicated, right? And no, the missile doesn't work as a decoy, because the base missiles target the main cockpit, which is why it's used to destroy them so the P-51(with the main cockpit) is able to fly in without a billion missiles firing at it.
@NumNumz Technically, wheels are what gives the reason shock absorbers are needed in the first place. Wheels are filled with air. If it was a flat, a wheel wouldn't bounce as high due to the rubber used in tires and no air to push on the rubber.
Trust me, you are not alone... I get VERY depressed whenever I think about how horribly wrong my life IRL has been going ever since I joined the BSCN community and entering online communities such as this...
... Let's not go there. I'll probably get thoughts of suicide if I do(fortunately, those thoughts wouldn't go anywhere... Because I couldn't bring myself to kill me unless it was quick, painless, and killed me instantly(AKA gun), or otherwise I would start having second thoughts(who wouldn't?). The great and bad thing about having a mind that can reason, I suppose. But like I said, let's not go there. Not going to discuss this topic further.)
But I was diagnosed with ADHD at a very early age, and have had a attention deficiency disorder for my whole life. I know how you feel, to a degree, and I can totally see you getting frustrated with your school. People like us are usually socially withdrawn, and keep out emotions and thoughts to ourselves, and repress anger and sadness...
I should probably stop talking, lol @PlanesOfOld . Don't really care if this comment is deleted by the mods because of it's content. But you are not alone. Trust me on that.
Well, considering that my first comment was on the sub-reddit(at that time, there was no such thing as comments on designs), so I'll just put my first SP reddit comment:

@Glaceon Uhh, no, it's not pirated. The devs MADE that code. Admittedly, that code lasted an extremely long time for whatever reason... But they made that code. All of the free stuff I got was legally, no pirating... The one on my ipad for a free iOS code giveaway, gumroad from what I said above, and steam because A. 1.3 beta and otherwise would have B. got it via email because of owning the gumroad version.
And on gumroad, back in beta, there used to be a code you could put into the link to get SP for free. It's how I got my version for macbook a year ago and got to start playing this game. To be honest, I'm probably the one who deserves the most to pay them... Well, I did pay for simple rockets on my ipad, so I guess that's some payment to them. But I've tried to get out of paying a lot in this game, because I wouldn't have been able to get it otherwise(parents probably wouldn't have paid for it, IMAO).
@Glaceon That's if you even have the money to pay... Consider that for a moment. If you don't have the money to buy SP, you get a pirated version, and then it gets removed, they wouldn't be able to buy SP anyway, so it doesn't hurt the devs in any way, shape, or form.
@JacobHardy64 Completely agree. And the devs ACTUALLY interact with the community on a nearly daily basis(How many devs from other games would DO that? Almost none), so I think the SP community is unique in that way. On other games, the devs can sometimes be your enemies... Here, they are usually our friends :) . They also listen to our suggestions(How many devs from people such as WarGaming would turn down all the ideas we give out? A lot). And customer/user support is very good, devs and community alike. And the community itself is very friendly most of the time :)
(it does help that our community is small, though)
@Static Even if you were to put the islands on there, it wouldn't really help the already poor performance on the lower end devices... in order to put the islands on any mobile device, they would need to make an entirely seperate app due to the issues those islands would cause on lower end devices, and even mid-end devices.
@Flightsonic I mean the idea in general. It would have extremely simplified what I had to do with the YF-23 because of the complex system(not that complex, but it was hard to do) that had to be used to get the V-tail's to work on rotators. Being able to move multiple parts without breaking their connection would be great in the cases where it's absolutely necessary. ... Ok, probably won't replace XML completely(there is still rotations and connections you simply can't do in the editor), but it would make the point of using it for multi-part assemblies that normally would have to, piece by piece, be put into position by XML(I forget if nudging allows a block to retain it's connections), and then connected to the rest of the aircraft by adding a connection.
@Flightsonic Nudging a bunch of parts would completely remove the point of XML for me(unless I want custom stuff such as railguns or longer blocks), lol, so yes, please.
... Not that big. Legitimently, my super bomber is twice the size of most of his plane(wingspan), and slightly longer than them. And it was built before there was a rating system to begin with :P .
@MoterKade Yep. I'm actually 16, so...(but even then, I never really hated on aircraft just for hating them, and definately not consistantly against one person or any perticular group for that matter unless it's a generalized statement.)
@Supercraft888 Lever joint is already a thing, and very reliable. Ball and socket... That's a bit more complicated. Pretty much what I've said so far(unless you want it as an elbow joint for an arm if it has a ball and socket joint, and a lot less explody than doing it for the hip... shivers. Simply use one for rotation and one to move up-down, and you offically have a rudimentary socket joint, and probably a lot less likely to explode on you, given it's an open design with an arm. Not too much of an issue with it colliding with stuff. In fact, you could probably do it without XML if you use nudge controls. Could also work for the shoulders, to a point.
@Supercraft888 Probably, but like I said, it would be kinda annoying, as well as a bit explodey if there is any part collisions that will rub on other parts. Experienced it with my YF-23. Not fun.
@ViperGB Actually, you can on mac, but the library is hidden on my macbook because it's a school computer. Steam gives a back door to it if you set up Finder's window right, though.
... Hmm... Pretty much 1000x faster than I did. But, to be fair, for a long time I didn't really build the best stuff, and also was here before points even existed. I've been here... ~1 year 4 months. Still at silver(albeit almost 4/5's there :D )...
Hmm... Ball joints would be very hard(TBH, I've thought of how multi-point rotation could be done, but ball joints I think are beyond the capability of current rotators unless you want to use fairly complex XML editing)
Honestly, I think my new second favorite has been WoWS recently. Battleship Craft will always have a place in my heart, though. Other games would be AW, to a point(poor experince with it, but TBH, the computer is pretty poor), and Star Conflict... Either that or WoT...(Sees hate comments rise up from people. JKJKJK)
well, the only way to get a plane that can fly both forwards AND backwards would be to have an aircraft which is neutrally stable(CoL on top of CoM, basically)... Which is extremely dangerous. A aircraft with that will have so much maneavibility that without assistance in the form of things like thrust vectoring, it would be impossible to control
@Nickasaurus Well, like I said, hopefully the beta for steam comes out this week. If it occurs, the beta for mobile will likely follow shortly(within a week or 2).
Hopefully they release the beta sometime this week, as was said by Joey Selller's a week ago, so hopefully a full release would be around mid-late april, or worst case, early may(only applies to mobile).
@JacobHardy64 Oh, and I forgot to mention that super nova's are destructive, XD. I tend to be a bit destructive when it comes to certain games, especially if it has anything to do with military and such.
For those that remember my old username(rth1131999), or who use reddit(haven't managed to get rid of it on reddit, and is really the last place it needs to be removed from), that was the initials for my full name(first, middle, and last) + my birthday date(11/3/1999 or 11.3.1999, which is kinda obvious). As for the new one I've adopted for my SP name and youtube(mostly did it because Rth1131999 sounds pretty bland for a youtube name), I put Nova there mostly because I like science. I put Topaz in it because of two reasons. The first one is because topaz is the birthstone of November, and I was born in early November, and the second reason is because my favorite color is orange(topaz as a birth stone is orange), and oddly enough is also the color of my hair(natural, no dyes. Redish orangish, it really depends on a couple of factors). And I guess a third reason would be because it also personifies my personality(if you look at This ), so to speak.
@Nickasaurus Pretty sure @UnstableOrbit had a rocket in the earlier beta/alpha stages. It broke when the physics got changed, though, from what I remember.
@Waemoth Well, the only people I've really done it with is delpihinus, and TBH, they usually aren't bad. Not great, but not bad. That and SR, or other platinum users. For the past month or 2, I haven't really been active, and my macbook was out of commision(or didn't have the time to fly them), so I upvoted them out of virtue of previous work I'd flown and such, that and they usually build good aircraft. Otherwise, I mostly tried to not upvote aircraft, but for the past month I've been favoriting aircraft so I can go back to them, download them, try them out, and then actually give a rating.
Ah, simple planes 1.0... The days when massive aircraft, USS Tiny pushers, and simple, fast jet fighters got the most recognition. At that time, I basically built the largest aircraft(publicly available, anyway. I think Unstable Orbit had bigger aircraft, but most of his aircraft, old or not, aren't public anyway) to date at that point. At that time, pretty much anything with tons of downloads would be destined to stay on top... And mine was at the top for a good long while. I think it got to 5000 downloads at one point? Either way, that aircraft was deleted when an update to the website happened and it gave the ability to delete aircraft... So I deleted it to test it out. It worked, so no one will ever know how many downloads it had, exactly... :(

double post
Base was already claimed by ze inhabitants, who are armed with missiles... So ur claim is false. They are the real owners.
Edit: sorry, just had to deny you. lol.
@NumNumz Technically, wheels are what gives the reason shock absorbers are needed in the first place. Wheels are filled with air. If it was a flat, a wheel wouldn't bounce as high due to the rubber used in tires and no air to push on the rubber.

for weight, you can already do that with dead weight if you really want. As for making them lighter.... IDK
Until the fuselage wheels break...

@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Yeah, you can. You have to stop near the hanger??? IDK, but that's what I did
Set the dampening on the shocks to 10(and for certain things, having horizontal springs also helps the suspension a bit)
Edit: Nvm, didn't see the new update patch notes. Continue on!

@AndrewGarrision @PhilipTarpley @KevinMurphy @nathanmikeska
@PhilipTarpley I see you snuck in an update to the notifications... you sneaky... :)
@General360 Really wish there was some kind of 3D kind of editable block... would make the design so much more polished, but meh, oh well.
@intothewildblueyonder 1.3? Mobile got that, dude. If you mean the recent one with the sandbox updates... they're getting to that, be patient.
God damnit, devs, now I have to wait until I get to my dad's, and also have to try and get 150 wins in AW...
(Can't wait to play the update, though :D )
@Flightsonic For the forum? Macbook. Actual game? Well, I have my dad's old PC...
@Flightsonic I mean the idea in general. @Supercraft888 Wait... Elbow... A lever joint? Or are you referring to a ball and socket joint(basically what you said in the description)?
there is only 2 islands atm, so.... Of course it would be hard to find a air/landing strip
@Supercraft888 You could suggest it for an update, though.
@Supercraft888 Probably, but like I said, it would be kinda annoying, as well as a bit explodey if there is any part collisions that will rub on other parts. Experienced it with my YF-23. Not fun.
Oh, and turning on hidden folders in the system usually helps if you can

@Nickasaurus Well, like I said, hopefully the beta for steam comes out this week. If it occurs, the beta for mobile will likely follow shortly(within a week or 2).
@Nickasaurus I think he's reffering to 1.4, which is planned to have the stuff from the last PC Steam update, if at all possible.
@Thefalloutplayr There is no 'boundary', per say, but the viewing camera can be a bit buggy when you make large builds.
Though, by beta, I mean steam beta.
Hopefully they release the beta sometime this week, as was said by Joey Selller's a week ago, so hopefully a full release would be around mid-late april, or worst case, early may(only applies to mobile).
