@Sofa Well, the only way to potentially make it unified would be to have mesh physics merge all the parts together... And that's a long shot at best(and actually, in all consideration, it would REDUCE performance, not improve it.). I'm pretty sure the devs said ages ago(over a year ago?) that mesh modeling(well, mesh physics, mesh modelling, the point is, the physics engine would have them crunch, stretch, etc depending on force and what not) would not be a likely thing to come in the future(actually forget if the question was mesh design in general for the game or just a mesh model for wings and such.)
Well, I just know from knowledge it's best not to trust the devs, not because they are liars, but because those promises are never guaranteed. It's the same with update releases(IF they give that information out, which they usually won't, at least most of the time(and most certainly was the case in the beta))
@BRuthless Ok. Also, don't ever expect it on a specified date. If there is one thing about game devs, it's to never trust their predicted dates. but they specifically state this monday?(as in 3 days ago...)
Well, TBH, not all PC's can run the physics calculations required for multiple aircraft, and low end PC's and most certainly all mobile devices with a few exceptions fall into that category. They simply don't have the processing power to handle large, complex designs, much less multiple at once.
Also, there would be another reason. Space. Well, actually, it wouldn't add that much data, but in all consideration, having more than that would be a bunch of extra code that could limit the game's performance significantly, and the processing will really cause problems with lower end machines(Though it would have to be very low end. My Macbook air could easily run an aircraft that once had in excess of 1000 parts and had multiple wings on top of that, and it could still run at around 10 FPS roughly(back then, there was no FPS tracker or anything to display it, IIRC). And that's one of the lower end macbooks with almost no upgrades to it's abilities(school macbook, what do you expect?).)
Well, considering it may be spring break in a few days(I really don't remember the range of days it's usually on), that'd probably explain the lack of a new tournament.
From what I remember, there is no color to the bullets(unless they are very stacked(large ammount of bullets coming out of the gun), in which case, read what is said next), and they are just have a after-effect of hitting the ground giving a yellow flash, so yeah.
... Honestly, the game is going to get to the point where this game will defy any type of description. Today, still simple planes, dispite the fact there is battleships, cars, tanks, and almost anything else under the rainbow... But while simple vehicles would be a good name, the game still doesn't really encompass those categories, either. They don't really have the full on support the airplanes have, and probably why this game will remain as SimplePlanes. Not to mention there is buildings in this game as well(user built).
@Delphinus He's not new. I fact, it's an alt of another if you look back this person. I don't even know why he/she even bothered with a alt if they just comment with it.
NovaTopaz slowly claps.
Bravo... Except that what the others have said is true(I'm pretty sure). And also, that clapping was not a congratulations... That, my friend, is your one-way ticket for this account being banned. I noticed this was an alt, and it's very obvious, looking at your history.
TL;DR: Don't use an alt account if you can use your main account for it(I noticed your using it to comment. You do realize you can do that with any account, right? Why use an alt? It's a hassle more than anything)
Also, nobody here is overreacting right now, right? You, my friend, are the only one who hasn't caught the news, and reacting to something that is already resolved, and commenting on week old threads that are basically dead.
Actually, those angles mean a lot. It changes how the props operate effectively. Lesser angles means higher acceleration but consequently less speed. Large angles mean higher speed but less acceleration, especially at lower speeds, to a point. At extremely high angles, the props are effectively useless because they are no longer really 'gripping' the air, and are really just spinning blades that are slowing down the drive(and most noticable at ~85-90 degrees). And the overspeed is actually an important quality... It is the point at which the prop is turning too fast for the blade shaft to handle. Extended periods operating at that point will destroy the shaft and consequently the propellor falls off. If there was not an overspeed, it would make props very abusable, and not really realistic. You could just set your prop to a fairly small ammount of rotation, and then give it a maxed HP rating, and would be able to accelerate beyond the point the overspeed limits them at(well, it's not limiting it, you can do it for short periods, but overall it's best not to go into that).
Throttle governor is literally what it says, it governs the throttle to a certain RPM. If you actually know it's applications IRL, you would know they use those on helicopters especially
Field of vision and zooming in or out are two completely different things, FYI. And you CAN already zoom in and out with orbit view with the scroll wheel, and I think chase view is the same.
And as for visual... it does correlate to the things you set on the prop(in fact, I'm pretty sure the starting rotation adjustment can be seen from the editor for the neutral position). 100% rotation range means, more or less, 90 degrees from the starting point? I haven't tried different starting locations with the prop to see if there is a limit to it's rotation.
... Hmm... You have no clue how much I want this :P (but seriously, this would fix so many problems that XML can bring. Usually, when doing custom pieces for my aircraft, they have to manually be moved, piece by piece, especially when it comes to mirroring the parts, to their positions by editing their coords they are located at, and in the case of mirror, make a certain value negative, which doesn't create a perfect mirror in many cases, and is very visible on my Wyvern, though there would be many ways to fix it.)
It won't delete anything. Even if it reverts to a version before the beta and you don't update, it'll simply give an error that it didn't load properly and you may need to update, at least when it comes to parts that came in the beta on saved aircraft.
@WahrscheinlichIch I meant in relation to the actual hull. The turrets are as wide as the hull(NOT the case on the actual Iowa), and the front turret is near the point on the bow where the front corners of the turret meet the hull(again, not the case on the actual Iowa, or the rest of the class, for that matter). I could see how you'd have to cut corners in this case, though, especially if this is designed to function on mobile.
And I could kinda tell you were german... The 'K' in projekt... I usually see that on translated german projects, but figured I wouldn't say anything in case I was wrong.
... What's with the spelling in the post? Anyway, looks nice, can't wait to see it finished!(happen to be one of those BB's fanatics because of playing BSC, or at least very knowledgable in them. And yes, currently, I do have to agree with Waemoth, it does look like a South Dakota. Not that there is anything wrong with that, and largely has to due with the oversized 16" guns, relative to the hull.)
@AviownCorp Well, I can't really try them(without using my iPad... don't really want to use it, whenever possible, especially when building.)... And I also don't bother playing around with an aircraft unless I can see the physical aircraft with the photo's or the bottom view with top/front/sides if that fails. Sadly, yours fail on both... It's just something I don't do. IK it's an issue with android, but still.
@AviownCorp Hey, I can't do realistic cockpits either(nor can I play the game on a computer ATM...), or heli's, or bomb bays(mostly because I'm lazy. I really wouldn't do it much unless I want to). Variable geometry/swing wings are pretty easy, though, and have been around for ages.
I'll just throw in one of my aircraft for the challenge. Not designed for it, and not modded, but I can't make an aircraft for the challenge without using... My ipad.
@goboygo1 Well, I've seen the AI dodge missiles, but they were more by chance than actually doing maneuvers to evade them. And even with my Morgan(which is very maneuverable for an aircraft as large and heavy as it is), dodging missiles is a challenge in and of itself. In the end, it's better to try and outrun the missiles range than it is to try dodging them, which is usually futile from my observations(at least from the limited time I've spent doing it.). There is some exceptions, but they aren't the rule.
sadly, those don't actually work as real flares, and won't deflect the missile from it's course. Might look nice, but TBH, for most builds, that would stick out, and in general just doesn't look nice.
Yes, you have to make an account. It's just like any other store. In fact, it's required for even free things, again, like other stores for other devices.
It's basically a store. If you don't know what I really mean, search it up. And this update applies to steam, currently the only way to get Simple Planes on windows and the best for use on a macbook as it has more features that are more recently updated, and also easier access to beta's.
Would be useful on just about everything(plus I could push out some new weapon systems... All Direction Multi-Purpose Missiles anyone(from Ace Combat)?)
@BlueHawk Macbook can't run steam(stupid school restrictions!), and my new(old? it is my dad's old computer) computer can't install steam because of... Stuff.

@AeroEngineering Wait, found the problem. God damnit, school internet!(it blocks steam in every form, images included)
@AeroEngineering Well, I'm using a macbook... possible answer?
... No image that I can see(well, there is three, but they all say alt text)
Well, I just know from knowledge it's best not to trust the devs, not because they are liars, but because those promises are never guaranteed. iOS can't mod unless it's jailbroken, post/since 8.3.
@Jetspeed1001 ? really?(sorry, but haven't been able to play the steam version)
creativity +1 (using the cockpits in that way...)
@Beez The game? Yes. Steam itself? Nope
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries Did you remove the beta test and update?

@Exumer You should have gotten a steam code to the email you got the original one(provided you did. Otherwise, PM the devs on reddit, or email them)

It's not that bad... I think it's 15 minutes at the max, and it doesn't really need to be that fast, in all honesty. It's worked so far.
@AviownCorp Well, I can't really try them(without using my iPad... don't really want to use it, whenever possible, especially when building.)... Congrats
@Thefalloutplayr Yes, IK. Rockets don't work as flares. Flares are long lasting heat sources. A rocket goes bang and that's the end of that.
@Thehtmguy Never happening. That's a dream that likely can't be fafilled
sadly, those don't actually work as real flares, and won't deflect the missile from it's course. Might look nice, but TBH, for most builds, that would stick out, and in general just doesn't look nice.
and even maneavible aircraft can't dodge the missiles...
I actually made something similar to this on my artillery tank, but it had 2 500lb bombs and was connected to a detacher so it could be launched.
@MrTorch
EXACTLY
. Anyone who knows anything about gaming should and would know about steam. If you don't, your really out of the loop.Yes, you have to make an account. It's just like any other store. In fact, it's required for even free things, again, like other stores for other devices.
@BlueHawk facepalm

Can't play SP ;-;
Well, I can, but I'm not going to touch my ipad for building.
Confirmation by andrew(as to why it was removed) on This thread
... hahaha.
Nvm, found it.
@AndrewGarrision You really need to work on your security when it comes to deleted threads. I can still see comments you have from deleted threads.
@Nickasaurus what stuff?(you can PM me the details on reddit, account is rth1131999)
@Waemoth Ding Ding Ding!
