To be pragmatic here, I think everyone knew why the dev team departed the game. Its reached its limit (I think). I'm more inclined to think that they may attempt a sequel of this game with better resources but as far as I think I know. The dev team of course did say they'll maintain the game as its not going away.
As for the Tu-95 it would be unfair to assume its engineering was completely out of date but if you had a second thought, a lot of bombers up until the latter half of the last century were vulnerable to just about any form of air defense.
The turboprops on their own are by a measure, fast enough to get whatever payload they have on target, but of course it’s 2024 and I’m betting all weapons are standoff so it wouldn’t make a difference really.
Comparing it with the B-1 lancer is more or less comparing a carrot to an onion, where each have a specific niche suited to their respective airframes.
Nonetheless the Tu-95 is indeed a very dated aircraft.
A better statement would be more or less a ksp alternative. If it is meant to replace SimplePlanes in your opinion, a good portion of its features wouldn’t be needed to do that. The game theory and mechanics are meant to be simple to use. It’s not trying to be an aeronautics simulator in any respect.
@hd189 I'm steaming out. asteroidbook put in a lot of time and effort to making this build and for you not to differ between the meaning of modified and made does a disservice to the original creator. Idk what you are trying to allude to by based on Garrison's part. Its disrespectful to the original creator.
Have you actually made a real aircraft yourself. To its exact parameters, specifications, flight performance and the like? Sure you have, have you? That’s a lot to ask of a game that doesn’t even have air flow characteristics to begin with. If a literal box with wings can fly in this game, I think your request doesn’t fully resonate with how the game works. Plus you haven’t made one yourself. If it’s just an art piece, let it be. If it’s soulless let it be. People took their time making it and that’s what matters to them. The game isn’t played by only you. It’s always people like you on this site that demand something for others but cannot show for it, what they want.
From what I think, it’s just more commercially beneficial to them since they’ve poured a lot into developing juno and advertising it, as opposed to SimplePlanes that given the age of the game itself they can only update it so much due to the engine it runs on.

+2Uh who’s the 3 digit guy?
+2Pretty good. P.S KC-135s have no thrust reversal capability, and the CM56 equipped aircraft are labeled KC-135Rs
+2@thatsjustmidofficial id love to see you try make one better.

Cannot change fuselage part XML properties in overload. I believe its the same for every part. Part disappears whenever I exit out of overload.

+2Underrated
+2I’m pretty sure they know what the USS Beast is, they made it
+2@AlivePan Well only three A-4As had this ability. The rest never had folding wings since they already fit in the carrier elevator.
