@PyrusEnderhunter Btw the F/A-17 Wasp was employed extensively by the Paternian military during the various Paterno-Sentian Wars, notably the Paternian Navy from aircraft carriers and the Paternian Marine Corps from land bases.
It was quite a capable warplane in these missions. Like the F-6 and F-7, the F/A-17 was effective against the E-57 due to its superior avionics and armament, excellent command, control, communications, and superior tactics.
The Victoria's armor is definitely not up to withstanding more powerful tank cannon past the 2050, even with additional armor packages. Upgrades to Victoria by PDI emphasized protection against ATGMs, after analysis of various reports about combat performance of Victoria since the 1981 Indo-Awwami War.
The active protection systems do bring both vehicles somewhat comparable in overall protection, with Victoria's multi-layered approach giving it a level of redundancy.
The Victoria's baseline mine resistance is vastly inferior, but made comparable with upgrades.
The 120mm L/44 or 35MJ railgun is about as big as the Victoria could handle. The A-130 is certainly able to withstand APFSDS shots from these weapons at combat ranges, at least from the frontal arc. Both vehicles can penetrate each other's side armor at combat ranges. Fire control is comparable.
The Victoria is slower on-road, even without the speed governor. The off-road performance is better on the A-130, but not enough to be a practical difference over the Victoria.
It would not be the first tank that was poised to dethrone the queen.
@GermanWarMachine It's for emergency moments against formations of enemy aircraft. Generally, batteries are not cleared to employ boresight mode if friendly aircraft are in proximity.
Normally, the missile is guided to a target which has been detected, tracked, and identified by the AN/MPQ-54/64. This is standard operational procedure in peacetime exercises.
However, combat tends to have everything go wrong spectacularly, and it is a possibility that the main radar would be knocked out and interceptors may be unavailable. If this is the case, then boresight mode is employed as a last-ditch defensive measure to give the battery some degree of operational capability.
Granted, the chance it's going to hit something in boresight mode is somewhat low. However, it's at least something, which is better than having nothing.
@Hoovy I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm certain there is some self-destruct mechanism on the site somewhere, but I'm not sure why you'd destroy your ride out?
@PyrusEnderhunter I would like to thank the Continental African Federation Armed Forces and the Sentian Armed Forces for their contributions in the design of the aircraft.
Albeit done by utterly destroying them and figuring out how can we do better, but still a worthy contribution.
@FennVectorCWA Exactly. What's the point of making a plane with 1k parts if not everyone can enjoy crashing this thing because my God the accident rate on this thing is high.
Make a big enough boom, and you’ll get through anything.
This thing is specifically designed to counter mines of up to 60 pounds TNT equivalent.
That being said, ballistic protection is only up to the 14.5mm Soviet and 15mm Prussian.
Remember that armor protection on tanks is focused on the front. Naturally, every anti-tank weapon aims at everything but that. Mines strike from below.
Remember that even the vaunted Victoria is only rated to a 20 pounds TNT equivalent, the standard explosive content of a standard AT mine. However, the Victoria’s Mine Protection Kit allows it to withstand five mines. @PyrusEnderhunter
@FGW2014 On second thought, don't test it if you value your life.
@FGW2014 It's not functional.
@TheLatentImage Might want to check this out. Case of straight-up copying.
Right.
Still rekt the E-56. @PyrusEnderhunter
Ok. @FGW2014
@FGW2014 I'm thinking of a shotgun. Would that do?

@PyrusEnderhunter Are you implying something?
@phanps Thanks!
@YuukaNeko You won't have the only gun here.
Okay. I know a few things about their configuration and armament. @RailfanEthan
@RailfanEthan Still up to collab with a war train?
For the Victoria, it is often transported to the battlefield whenever possible. @PyrusEnderhunter
@PyrusEnderhunter Likely.

@PyrusEnderhunter This will certainly give the Victoria a run for its money.
There are. I tend to do so by panels and different colors. @PyrusEnderhunter
You expected the budget plane to be fancy? @PyrusEnderhunter
How many? @Liquidfox
@Seeras This may require your assistance.
@tobyrowty That's somewhat uncalled for.

+1Thanks! Although on occasion the weapon has been employed as a sniper rifle, often for countering other snipers. @Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing
Interesting. @Flash0of0green
@SledDriver Indeed. The slight refinement is what makes the difference.
@SledDriver I'm liking this new style of yours.
@Hoovy I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm certain there is some self-destruct mechanism on the site somewhere, but I'm not sure why you'd destroy your ride out?
@CoBros2 It was on the list of guns to do, but I've got other projects to busy myself with.
@Ephwurd The entries weren't considered sufficiently superior over existing M4 and M16 rifles.
@DeathStalker627 Np!
@Mcllulen That's a noted tendency.
@Dllama4 Yes.
He’s a big fan of the Fw-190@CRJ900Pilot
@TemDesBur
Such capitalist decadence... @Dllama4
@PyrusEnderhunter It's the ting dat goes skraaa...
@YuukaNeko @redbear89 Thanks!
@Supercraft888 rofl
@GermanWarMachine You know what?
I'm going to make my version of the LAW rocket.
@GermanWarMachine The original 25mm was a bullpup standalone system, but was later adapted into an underbarrel attachment for an M4 carbine.
@Supercraft888 "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them, what are we going to do?"
this thing ignites.
I'm a horrible, horrible, person for bringing this up.
@GermanWarMachine We have the 40mm in service, as well as the 25mm Smart.

My pleasure. @Potkuri
@FennVectorCWA @grizzlitn @PyrusEnderhunter Thanks!
@FennVectorCWA Exactly. What's the point of making a plane with 1k parts if not everyone can enjoy crashing this thing because my God the accident rate on this thing is high.
Darn. Now I have to build up my air defense system. What should I call it?
@EternalDarkness Oh btw I was using that option for a long time.
You can find it on the gun turret of my AH-2S Sierra Spartan or the door guns on my Papa Trojan.
Make a big enough boom, and you’ll get through anything.
