@Th3Missil3 The aircraft is naturally pointed upwards on the ground, so it is likely the wings lifting the aircraft and reducing traction
.
Make sure the elevators are deflected downwards while braking and you should be able to brake without worrying too much
@ShinyGemsBro Still wing guns
The cannons are cool but the sound they make when firing fast is not great.
I think the rule I'm gonna set for myself will be that cannons 37mm or above use the cannon part but that hasn't come up yet.
@Th3Missil3 It is; the FT is doable, but Snake eyes would take up more parts since the rotors and fins would be 8 parts minimum + a bomb + a detacher so a snakeye would be 10 parts minimum. So 6 snake eyes already bumps up the part count by 60 at least and thats not counting extra details.
@Applecrumble Woops 🤷♂️
If you look inside the targeting pod, you'll find a total of 4 rotators.
One keeps the camera's roll level with the ground and another keeps the camera's pitch level. These are on at all times.
The next two control pitch and yaw and will direct the camera towards the selected target. For these rotators to work properly, the yaw rotator needs to be level with the ground, which is why we need the first two rotators.
.
The connection order is:
Aircraft > Roll stabilizer rotor > Pitch stabilizer rotor > Yaw tracking rotor > Pitch tracking rotor > Camera
.
You can copy and paste the code and reverse-engineer it as you need to.
@ThatKindaWeeb Maybe
I did start another project but it's still top secret atm :)
@ethanlikesrice Just regular fuselage blocks and some blueprints, nothing fancy.
And welcome back to championship boxing!
@ItapilotSP2023quit Oshkosh?
Might not work but maybe try
scale = -1,1,1

Probably last post before Christmas, so happy and safe holidays, guys!

@Applecrumble By the end of this year, Discord will stop allowing image hosting (i.e. the image links wont work outside of Discord).
Plot twist: it's margarine
@SourDoughBread Nuclear air-to-air missiles do be a vibe
@ToeTips hm true
I was thinking that since the national bird is the bald eagle
Bald Eagle?
@ShinyGemsBro maybe (tm)
I've been making a lot of US aircraft recently so I want to build some aircraft for REDFOR or other NATO countries for a bit
Heinkel He 111
Farman F.222.2
hi
@TheCommentaryGuy there is no fbw but there is a control augmentation system
Air! They're in the air!
If you attach a piston by its head to your aircraft, it can disable collisions
Maybe that?
Nice
I think I've actually seen every aircraft here irl except the F-94 and F-102
Unfortunately this isn't possible in vanilla SP but I believe there is a mod for it
I mean...
If you think about it you deflect your ailerons and start spinning, you technically just made an extremely scuffed propeller
So we back in the mine
Saw one flying irl at an airshow, it's quite a sight
@ZeroWithSlashedO lots of detacher and FT weirdness
Updates rolled out now. Affects:
F-16C Viper, F-16C -Have Glass V-
F-15C Eagle
F-15E Strike Eagle
Shrimp are the fruit of the sea
@Samfpanzer @phrongus
This is an M16A1.
It jams.
@FOXHOUND26 click the cockpit and open the nudge editor to see the xyz coordinates
And then do the same for the turret
Jetstream based
Challenge: You can land on the USS Tiny with this aircraft. You have to use RSM and in-flight thrust reversal.
Good luck!
Nice!
The F-8 is what got me to gold, what a coincidence
👏
@Ownedpilot Not sure I agree with the F-15E having limited dogfight capability...
But I am considering making a STOL/MTD
:0
@TheFlightGuySP Oh crap you're right
This game does run on Unity...
LERX does work but it needs to be made using the default wings (you can also make them hidden)

Funky (trees)
@Applecrumble I don't do a true JHMCS on my aircraft
for JHMCS enabled missiles, the maxTargetingAngle is just set to 90
@RamboJutter Holy crap. I just deleted all of my subassemblies and wow. The difference in game performance is literally night and day.

@Applecrumble from the front, the left rotator is the target tracking rotor and the one on the right is the stabilization

Go to File/Make a Copy
Now you'll have the spreadsheet for yourself that you can edit.
Maybe not an exact match, but look up Amarillo USAF. There's also Amarillo OADF, which I believe also has reverse italics
Clicky
@Th3Missil3 @Hybridmotor @ImAcarperson
Now THIS is blursed. I'll take 3
.
I need to so that too
