@JavierWorks @Khamsin @Simpleplanes25 Congratulations on being the top 3 in the challenge, will start giving out rewards here soon. Thank you all for participating, and hope to see you all on the next one.
Are you going to use random distance or use a specific distance for the dogfights? Because at long distance it’s basically the two planes going towards each other and not really dogfighting
Appreciate it, at least I get to explore Japan a little bit, which is also why I have been making Japanese planes lately because it inspires me being here@WinsWings
Really nice build, the trapeze is better than any of mine, and nice touch with the Jericho Trumpets. Ratings will be done when I grade all aircraft, but good work. P.S. if you haven’t gotten the Stuka book by Military Aviation History I would invest in it
Yeah, the important thing is having the ability to have control during the dive and make small adjustments for aiming, which is what the dive breaks are for, and the trapeze allowed for the bomb to go below the prop arc@Hannyboy
If you want, you should try using the speed break part for dive breaks, and adding a trapeze for the center bomb, but the cockpit looks nice, and I like the overall look
Got to say, pretty good design, and have fun dogfighting against my Sea Venger, one thing is that a carrier plane would have the wings fold, except the A-4, but that’s an exception, and the tail hook hits the drop tank as it lowers, but besides that great cockpit and nice look, and good flyer
Well spent my time building a plane that I really enjoyed and about to post, then realized it said fighter, and I built a carrier based bomber, well at least it still has the single engine
I have a random canopy that I can’t find in my building area that pops up as I test my plane, is there a way to find it because it’s constantly dropping on my plane and a bit off putting
Oh yeah, it’s basically standard on most dive bombers, like the Ju-87 Stuka and Helldiver, helps slow the plane and make it controllable in a dive, then the trapeze lets the bomb clear the prop arc@OFFWORLDSHRIMP
Apologies for the hiatus and very late comments, but I was gone for a decent while due to personal reasons, and next week I can start my testing of these airplanes when I get home, sorry again for the wait, but I appreciate all who participated
They did have arresting hooks on some of them, more like a bunch of them that they hoped would hit a grid of rope, but the wing folding would be exempt on a WWI design as being necessary@lilgreen06
The F4U Corsair is one of my favorite aircraft, and so is the A6M “Zero”, and kinda looks like you smashed the 2 together lol. Was quite a good flyer, and landing was pretty nice, although the tail wheel kinda gave some issues while taxiing where it’ll stop the plane if you turn it too far, but other than that, pretty good design. I also liked the folding horizontal stabilizers too
@TWDDerSharkmarine as long as there’s a realistic way to “keep the engine cool”, go ahead, like how the Focke-Wolf had that fan behind the prop
+1@JavierWorks @Khamsin @Simpleplanes25 Congratulations on being the top 3 in the challenge, will start giving out rewards here soon. Thank you all for participating, and hope to see you all on the next one.

+1Currently testing all models to decide on points, thank you for all that participated
Yes, they are allowed, just the norm to be a 2 seater@Khamsin
Thank you, was kinda hard but glad it came out good@MrCOPTY
Hmm, when I decide on the rewards I will edit the challenge summery, thank you@WinsWings
I plan on it, especially since most of the planes here are no where else@WinsWings
+1Appreciate it, at least I get to explore Japan a little bit, which is also why I have been making Japanese planes lately because it inspires me being here@WinsWings
+1Thanks, first attempt at building with one hand and thought it went well @WinsWings
I was still thinking about it, any suggestions?@WinsWings
Best of luck, and the input control will say Activate1 or Activate2, etc for the AG group used@Khamsin
Should be able get it online, basically the entire doctrine translated to English @Raiquaza19AirComp
+2Really nice build, the trapeze is better than any of mine, and nice touch with the Jericho Trumpets. Ratings will be done when I grade all aircraft, but good work. P.S. if you haven’t gotten the Stuka book by Military Aviation History I would invest in it
+2Best of luck, replica or fictional you thinking?@Raiquaza19AirComp
Also most were 2 seaters with a gunner in the back, but not really a requirement @Hannyboy
Yeah, the important thing is having the ability to have control during the dive and make small adjustments for aiming, which is what the dive breaks are for, and the trapeze allowed for the bomb to go below the prop arc@Hannyboy
Can use my Val to help, probably my best trapeze I made
If you want, you should try using the speed break part for dive breaks, and adding a trapeze for the center bomb, but the cockpit looks nice, and I like the overall look
Thank you, only 6 weeks to heal lol @PlaneGuy01
Would be awesome to see what you think of lol@WinsWings
+1Could enter that one or build something new, not looking for it to be a successor just want to see the best ones@Raiquaza19AirComp
+1Best of luck, excited to see what you’ll make@Hannyboy
Appreciate the help, hopefully there’s some good ones@WinsWings
+1@WinsWings want to help push this challenge along? I think you could bring some people to make some good entries
Well not every concept is a winner lol, but appreciate the kind words@Souplane
+1Kinda looks like the A5M Claude, Jiro Horikoshi would be proud
+1Would have to modify it a bit, tops at around 145 mph in level flight, which is kinda slow@20190244
+1Having our two planes fly against each other is without a doubt the slowest dogfight haha, but you definitely did a great job with this one
Thanks, I noticed how all the other ones didn’t use the engine at all@WinsWings
+1Hope you don’t mind all my entries being carrier based, seems like I’m on a carrier kick recently
+1Got to say, pretty good design, and have fun dogfighting against my Sea Venger, one thing is that a carrier plane would have the wings fold, except the A-4, but that’s an exception, and the tail hook hits the drop tank as it lowers, but besides that great cockpit and nice look, and good flyer
+1Thanks, wanted to try something out of the ordinary, and try something a little more difficult@TheDesignate
+1Are allies to these nations allowed? Like say Britain or Vietnam, etc.? Or only America and Soviet Union?
+2Thanks, the engine could be better but it was a quick build@FuhrerGaming
Blohm und Voss are barely aircraft lol, they’re voodoo machines@MrKtheguy
Are multiple entries allowed btw?
+1Uploaded it anyway, even if it won’t count, I’ll build one that can actually count
+1Well spent my time building a plane that I really enjoyed and about to post, then realized it said fighter, and I built a carrier based bomber, well at least it still has the single engine
+2Never mind, found it
+1I have a random canopy that I can’t find in my building area that pops up as I test my plane, is there a way to find it because it’s constantly dropping on my plane and a bit off putting
+1Thank you, kinda went with a Sukhoi and F-14/ F-18 fusion, just had fun@MrKtheguy
Oh I thought the 250 to 1100 was for the speed, not part count@FeatherWing
Go ahead, just make sure the AG is set to what you want and all that@OFFWORLDSHRIMP
Oh yeah, it’s basically standard on most dive bombers, like the Ju-87 Stuka and Helldiver, helps slow the plane and make it controllable in a dive, then the trapeze lets the bomb clear the prop arc@OFFWORLDSHRIMP
Lol thanks, I’m definitely not the first or best at a bomb trapeze and dive breaks, but I think they are fun to play with @OFFWORLDSHRIMP
@ KnightsOfRen Thanks, I wanted to make an easy to download and fly plane, with enough detail to look nice.
