  • Heinkel He 111 - North Atlantic 5.1 years ago

    @asteroidbook345 working on it ;)

  • Heinkel He 111 - North African theatre 5.1 years ago

@ND40X well... just google "sc1000 hermann"...

  • Heinkel He 111 - North African theatre 5.1 years ago

@ChiChiWerx yep... but you have to activate AG4 for that. The trim slider is also used for turret control, so...

  • Heinkel He 111 - North African theatre 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 already posted the N-Atlantic (anti-shipping) and Eastern Front (stolen from "Il-2 Battle of Stalingrad", I admit) versions... the only one still pending is the V2/long-range bomber "Zwilling". After that, I;ll stop bombing you guys with Heinkel 111's, I promise ;)

  • Heinkel He 111 - North African theatre 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 Thanks! And yes, you're right... she's a bit too frisky. I'll turn that down a notch when releasing the variants :D

  • P-47 Turbobolt 5.1 years ago

@Hedero sounds like a plan. We can start the Jugoslavian air force ;)

  • Dassault Mystère IVA 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 aaah... but there are kids on SP, too. http://www.f-16.net/aviationjokesarticle93.html

  • Dassault Mystère IVA 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 Looks great! I'll take it for a spin tomorrow. Haha, makes me think of an old joke about a French fighter pilot...

  • P-47 Turbobolt 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 Sure, no problem... it was the only way, I guess.

  • P-47 Turbobolt 5.1 years ago

    @Mustang51 Gracias!!

  • Messerschmitt Me-264 "Amerika Bomber" 5.1 years ago

@Asdavis1053 I just spawned several of these at "Maywar takeoff" -no problems, except for things slowing down somewhat...

  • Nakajima Ki-115 "Tsurugi" 5.1 years ago

@LeonardoEngineering Yep, something's definitely wrong -the 151 ft2 wing area all seems to be in the bomb's fins, or thereabouts :s

  • Nakajima Ki-115 "Tsurugi" 5.1 years ago

@LeonardoEngineering you could say that... the ailerons are moving -the plane, however, is not.

  • Nakajima Ki-115 "Tsurugi" 5.1 years ago

Hard to imagine this as a kamikaze plane -how do you hit anything with a plane that doesn't even respond if you want it to change direction? I imagine most of these just passed their targets and were never seen again :D :D

  • Martin Mauler - 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge 5.1 years ago

Thank you, thank you! I'll have to put a special "kill marking" on the Mauler, just for the occasion...

  • Results for Naval Aviation Challenge 5.1 years ago

@Mustang51 Thanks very much!! Damn, I didn't write a speech for the occasion... ;)
It was fun doing the challenge -looking forward to the next one.

  • Messerschmitt Me-264 "Amerika Bomber" 5.1 years ago

@Seeras Thanks. And there's not a bit, but WAY too many bombs -but then, there are way too few bombers. Any strategic raid would feature swarms of such planes, and I have no idea how to arrange for those -hence the lame solution of putting all eggs in a single basked, so to speak ;)

  • Messerschmitt Me-264 "Amerika Bomber" 5.1 years ago

@Stormfur Good luck with that... looking forward to the result.

  • Messerschmitt Me-264 "Amerika Bomber" 5.1 years ago

@ProcessedPlAnEs I guess they both look like Willy's design ;) and we have room to play around; there's still the 6-engine version and the jet powered option to explore...

  • Republic P47 Thunderbolt 5.1 years ago

@DeezDucks Sure, go ahead. Flattery will get you everywhere LOL... it makes a nice pair with your P51, that's for sure. Can't wait to see the P38.

  • Republic XF-84H Thunderscreech 5.2 years ago

@MintLynx Thank you. Still, a pity about the (absence of) noise though, the 'screech's trademark.

  • Republic P47 Thunderbolt 5.2 years ago

Thanks all for getting me "over the edge" into gold...

  • Republic F-84F Thunderstreak 5.2 years ago

@asteroidbook345 the Tupolev is the fastest turboprop, but I don't think they ever managed to squeeze more than Mach .75 out of it. The 'screech may or may not have been faster; it's sometimes claimed to be, but I believe someone made a mistake at the time and invited people from the Guiness brewery rather than the book... as a result, everyone had a few beers but no official record ;)

  • Republic F-84F Thunderstreak 5.2 years ago

@asteroidbook345 the "thunderscreech"..?? I believe the prototype's only claim to fame was that it made a lot of noise :D

  • Republic F-105 Thunderchief - NavalAttackChallenge 5.2 years ago

@ChiChiWerx I just checked... wouldn't call it just an "attempt" though. Great build, has a lot more details than mine. The super sabre looks quite the part as well.

  • Republic F-105 Thunderchief - NavalAttackChallenge 5.2 years ago

@ChiChiWerx true, they probably never had to attack naval targets. But it should be as good at it as any carrier-borne plane; it can haul a decent payload, and it's fast enough to get the hell outta dodge after delivering its package. Let's wait & see :D it's not the most modern plane of course, but it should still pack a punch.

  • F7U Cutlass - 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge 5.2 years ago

@TheFantasticTyphoon Thank you -but it's a cutlass, so that should be "exploding engine noises" ;)

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 5.2 years ago

@Mustang51 Thanks! For some reason though, SP refuses to open your posted file... and all the ones based on it :s weird...

  • 1945-1950 Naval Aviation Challenge (Closed) 5.2 years ago

@Mustang51 I have one or two builds coming up. How do I link the posts to this challenge..? No idea -never done it before.

  • Hawker Typhoon 5.3 years ago

@Mustang51 You're absolutely right... the planes could look a lot nicer with some more detail. Building them would be easy enough, but they won't run on my old iPad. Will give it a try sometime -but anything with 150+ parts is a bit of a challenge for the antique tablet.
