@Zaineman I'd hate to impose, but mind helping me here? I posted this at the wrong time and it shows, since it's gotten only 3 upvotes in the past 6 hours...
@DISHWASHER2005 I see what you mean, but I might just keep it simple and do mirrors, because I'm not that good at funky trees to be able to figure that out.
@Zaineman the Jackhammer isn't even an aircract, bro. It's an APC that is also a default vehicle when you first download SP. Again, I dare you to make a ground vehicle like the Jackhammer do PSM.
Anyone know how I can make something smoothly fade in or out on a label depending on its throttle level? I wanna be able to make a nice looking exhaust for my next jet fighter.
Well done. Only issues are:
*
1: your missile bay opens when you activate 2 instead of 3, whereas the missiles arm at activate 3.
*
2: Although it increases maneuverability, activate 1 doesn't allow it to post-stall maneuver, which is what supermaneuverability is.
*
3: This aircraft lacks afterburners.
Why no VTOL? Isn't that one of the main things the F-35 is known for? Or is it because the A variant has no VTOL ability? I thought all the F-35's did.
@UnmanagedReservoir just you wait; soon I'll have gold with a fighter that'll look so beautiful inside and out, that it may even surpass the upvotes you have on this!
*
Also, you get my upvote for sure.
Very nice, but if you want my expert opinion...
*
1: I don't know if you intend to, but this aircraft desperately needs some kind of afterburner. I assume you want it Mach-capable, correct?
*
2: If no afterburner, then maybe just slightly increase the engine power. Slightly.
*
3: Most importantly, look at all of your parts that cause drag. The game will actually tell you what's creating the most drag so that you can use XML (or Overload) to decrease the drag on those parts.
*
Other than that, Imma spotlight this beautiful creation.
@Khanskaya I mean yeah, you can do that, but I'm a nitpicky kind of guy who prefers more realistic physics with aircraft. If you wanna make it accelerate at a more reasonable pace while still having a high top speed, I'd recommend decreasing engine power, along with cutting down drag on some of your parts. The game will actually mark in red which parts are creating the most drag.
Ok, I love the Raptor just as much as the next guy, but this thing's acceleration and speed are far too unrealistic. No way can the Raptor reach Mach 2 in under 20 seconds, it just can't.
@ClutchMakesPlanes come on, Mach 1 at only 10% throttle? You don't think that's a little excessive? Not to mention the strain on the pilot as it can pull a whopping 180 G's?
*
That's just me being nitpicky, btw. Honestly, this build is beautifully well done. Otherwise, I wouldn't have upvoted.
Nice work for being new, it seems. Although, I recommend that- next time you build an aircraft- you do the following:
*
Decrease the drag on some of your parts so you can in turn decrease engine power, thus allowing for a more realistic acceleration and top speed.
*
Place the center of mass closer to the center of lift next time; this will make your aircraft far more maneuverable. Just don't place the CoM behind the CoL.
@IzzyIA can you make a version of this that doesn't require someone to activate 7 in order to scroll in and out? I would much rather prefer physical buttons in the cockpit.
This needs fixing. First off, at high speeds, due to its pitch rate in the canards, elevators and engines, it likes to shake itself like crazy. Also, you need to disable aircraft collisions for some of your parts in the engine bay. That, and this thing's engine power seems way too strong. I'd recommend decreasing its power output while cutting down the drag on some of your parts, if you haven't already.

Apart from that, you get an upvote.

With that basic control, if you pull the VTOL stick up above the middle, it'll set whatever is binded to it to 0. Hope this helps!

@Zaineman this is goofy, but I bet you can't make an M1 Abrams do PSM!

+1@Tanstanziel1944 none of my planes are from Ace Combat. They're all exclusively from my own imagination in building off the fly.
Bro made a supersonic prop fighter.

+2@Zaineman I'm not gone yet. Also, you should spotlight this thing!
Honestly wish I could spotlight this. It's so well crafted.
+1Nice! Now I kinda wanna see you do the F-104 Starfighter.
Anyone know how I can make something smoothly fade in or out on a label depending on its throttle level? I wanna be able to make a nice looking exhaust for my next jet fighter.
What equation would I use on a label that would allow letters to smoothly fade in or out, depending on the throttle?

@windshifter1 you can also use <> and put your code in between those, such as color, pos, voffset, etc.
+1@GuyFolk dang, bro, do you always have to make things look better than my builds? Are you that good, or am I just that bad?

Almost thought this was a Bv-238, at first, lol.
