@DuckMint Maybe check the layers the objects are placed in. By default, putting things in the terrain layer is a good place to start. Also, like @WNP78 says, check the materials you're using and try to avoid anything related to making your object translucent or transparent. I tried changing the water colour in an area using a transparent plane, but it resulted in the object not fading out with the fog, which just looked horrible when the terrain faded out. Ultimately I had to get rid of it as it was an "all or nothing" scenario.
I think the only country that's successfully made a 5th generation plane without throwing boat load of time and money at it is China... Who may or may not have taken said technology from the US.
.
What I'm trying to say is, making a 5th generation fighter isn't easy, let alone one that can do the things the F-35 can..
@JohnnyBoythePilot It does employ some body lift technology, Like I say, a lot of this is speculation. I imagine it is comparable in terms of performance to the F-16 and F-18. But I feel like its profile might cause it to lose energy faster than your typical dog fighter.
.
As for the weapons bays, the J-31 is a good comparison here. I can carry a similar (although slightly less) payload, but has a substantially sleeker profile, which is especially prominent when you view both aircraft from the rear and the side (as an orthographic view like a blueprint). Utilising two engines instead of one means you can have smaller engines, thus a smaller height profile and you can store the weapons between the engines like on the PAK FA, but this configuration wasn't used presumably due to it not fitting the requirements.
.
So, yes you're partially right, it is fatter because of internal weapon bays, but it's primarily because of the choice to go with one powerful engine instead of two smaller diameter engines, which in turn effects the placement of the weapon bays.
The UAC is a world superpower we don't go down easily. We allowed you to take over the UAC so we could devise a battle plan to overthrow you. We spoofed our technology with inferior components and collaborated with "your defenders" that were unhappy with your dictatorship.
.
We spent months building mass weapons at a top secret location and unleashed the power of advanced intuitive AI to our advantage (one of the things we had spoofed for you). We also used it in our battle plan to work out a 100% success rate strategy, weed out potential moles and locate and target key military bases. All in the cover of darkness and without your knowledge.
.
A computer virus was also created that would target and shut down and destroy all equipment that didn't possess the correct ID via wifi network. Moles that had infiltrated your military bases disguised as high ranking officers conducted updates to key equipment under your possession, effectively rendering it useless on the day of attack. Your air force, navy and other military sectors were rendered useless and limited to legacy equipment only. Your intelligence agencies were fed false information and thus were none the wiser as to what was actually going on.
.
On the night of the attack, key military personnel and government officials were assassinated, and a barrage of nuclear armaments were deployed to destroy strongholds. Small nimble attack aircraft like the ES-75 were deployed to take out key runways and storage facilities, which were then closely followed by heavy bomber aircraft such as the ES-78 which were escorted by AS-1, AS-2 and AS-3 aircraft to take out the little enemy fighter aircraft that were able to take off. Following this, with the skies now cleared and the majority of enemy defences down, a wave of Stratobombers and ES-74 gunships, TS-14 tanks, AS AI Dragons and ES-81 attack/transport helicopters dropped and fired devastatingly large payloads onto any remaining areas that somehow weren't damaged by the first 2 waves.
.
the majority of Simple S Union members, cut off from any hope of survival and communication with their commander are forced to surrender. Following this, your location/hideout is quickly located, where special forces delivered via ES-81 Attack/Transport helicopters are deployed. Due to sheer numbers, your last defences are taken out and you are captured mid toilet break, brought to a top secret location and put behind bars for life.
.
The UAC seizes all Simple S Union assets and returns everything back to their original owners. Remaining Simple S Union assets are kept by the UAC.
This is actually a pretty fun build to fly. It's surprisingly fast too all things considered. If you were to do it again, I'd recommend moving the centre of lift back a bit somehow by either adding weight to the nose or adding a large tail section/wing. Just means you can glide at a decent speed without having to worry about surprise backflips.
.
Other than that though, this is a pretty good build. A solid 10/11.
. Edit: Added an extra point after realising having 9 out of 11 like that probably isn't a great idea.
@GenericWhiteGuy I don't have the answer to your problem, but if you're looking for XML stuff, you might find this useful. It contains the trade secrets for air to air cleaver missiles, amongst other things like tractor beams (making gun's impact force a negative number) and giving resizable wheels a "slower speed"/maxAngularVelocity.
I feel like you've taken my crown when it comes to comedic descriptions, nuked it, but it in a blender, added a few drops of my tears and molded a new one out of it.
.
It truly is a masterpiece.
.
... As for the build, I'll try and remember to download it later when I'm not at work.
@Strikefighter04 oh, okay. I might make a post tomorrow when I have a bit of time.
.
The UAC isn't just one piece of land. The relevant section in my bio covers it quite well. They're a series of strategically placed islands dotted around the world (although I haven't really given a lot of thought as to where these are). The UAC currently comprises of 6 public islands/countries and 2 private ones (that I haven't gotten around to uploading). One of which is the Consolidated Aurora State which is basically the central governing body and consequently the main hub of CAS.
.
Like I say, it's a somewhat large economy.
@Strikefighter04 I'm not entirely sure how war works in roleplays, and I'd probably feel bad since the UAC is a very large self perpetuating economy which is constantly expanding business through terraforming as well as the usual export builds.
I think I might have to go to war with the Federation of Aurora due to the name clash with my United Aurora Confederation, Consolidated Aurora State and Aurora Squad.
I will say that I'm very guilty of a number of things in this post though.
.
I'm a part time design engineer and a full time system design analyst; which is basically a fancy way of saying "I look at systems and tell people how they work", which can be a lot more difficult than it sounds when you have to go through 200+ page documents for one part of the system.
.
When I was still living with my mum and dad, I 3D modelled my whole bedroom, just so I could virtually rearrange everything and come up with the most efficient layout.
.
Speaking of rooms, since moving into a rented house share, I've fixed all the tables/chairs, fixed the downstairs toilet, fixed the upstairs toilet, replaced half of all the light bulbs with LED ones, installed blackout curtains in my bedroom via tension rods (I get migraines and I'm not allowed to install curtains permanently), deep cleaned most of the carpets and partially removed the notability of a melted piece of carpet caused by the previous tenant leaving an iron on the floor (I know, it's pretty bizarre).
.
I also own a smart Oil Diffuser... because you can never have too many useless gadgets. On the plus side my room smells nice. Not that anybody would know because I'm probably the least social person within about a 10 mile radius.
I'll be honest, this is a bit of a grey line to me. On the one hand sex is mentioned, on the other it's not what I would class as "sexually suggestive" since the undertones are well meaning and sincere and not really the main focus. So I'll personally let this one slide on that premise. I'll let the other mods in on this though and see what they say but I think it should be fine.
If you already have a laptop and a phone, I'd personally get a PC.
.
I say get one. To actually build one yourself is a good option. Buy all the solid state parts used (from sources you can trust obviously) and anything with mechanical components as new (HDDs and optical disk drives).
.
I built my brother a good low end dual monitor gaming pc for under £300 (on hardware) on that premise. The build included a GT1030 and two HP 22cw monitors, and an Intel i5-3550 (I had to cut corners somewhere and I knew he wasn't going to be doing much video editing, etc.).
.
The best part about a custom built PC is that you don't really upgrade the unit as a whole. Just the parts inside. For example, your laptop will eventually begin showing it's age as the parts get older... on a PC, you just throw out a old part when it starts showing its age and plug in a new one... The only original part that remains from my PC is the SSD.
.
Obviously it might not be a route you want to go down. but I think it's at least worth considering. Sure, you can't exactly carry it around, but it's a good investment in the long run.
Depends what you want the plane for. American planes are built like fine pocket watches with a lot of tech and fancy gizmos, but if the wind blows the wrong way, they break. Russian planes don't have the fancy tech, but they build their planes like tanks.
.
The Mig 29 was sold to Germany I believe, where NATO conducted a number of tests on the aircraft and concluded that while some areas such as range (it drank fuel like a sponge) were worse than western jets, it also outperformed western counterparts in a lot of other areas. And that was an export aircraft, which tend to be dumbed down a bit.
.
Since then, they've developed the Mig 35 which is supposed to improve on the areas where the Mig 29 fell short and consequently upgrading its status from 4th generation to 4++ generation.
.
To say Mig aircraft are bad is naive at best. Sure, they've made some questionable planes in the past, but then every company has. Take Lockheed's Starfighter. That plane was so bad is was nicknamed both the 'widowmaker' and the 'flying coffin' because its accident rate was so bad.
@TheGuyYouMightKnow Goofing around in of itself isn't an issue, I'd like to think my latest forum post is testament to that. But, if one fails to see the severity of their actions, then they will face consequences. I, along with the other moderators are merely upholding the site rules.

@DanielBrawner most of the work went into trying to work out what colours everything needed to be. From memory, it didn't take me much more than an afternoon, but it honestly depends how much detail you want to go into. I simplified it by grouping colours by material, but in reality, there's variance in everything depending on the age of the material, how long it's been weathered for, etc.
So it could be better... But I had and still have the attention span of ferret. So it is what it is.
Violates a Honda trademark (I appreciate this is a rather weird rule, but Honda have complained to Jundroo in the past). I recommend uploading it with a different name that implies it definitely isn't based off a Honda thingy, if you catch my drift.

Violates a Honda trademark (I appreciate this is a rather weird rule, but Honda have complained to Jundroo in the past). I recommend uploading it with a different name that implies it definitely isn't based off a Honda thingy, if you catch my drift.

Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.
