@Chancey21 I understand how the mechanism work, but I’m wondering how you can build gears like that and not have them clip through each other or explode each other. I take it XML modding has something to do with it?
What problems are you having with it? Be as specific as possible.
Also, what are you trying to accomplish? I noticed it’s kind of a VTOL F-15 w/ thrust vectoring.
@Sm10684 as I said, I’m using my senior year class as an example. Some of them are pretty smart, but almost everyone agrees that there are a lot of people who are straight-up idiots (or at least act like one, meaning they’re only doing it in public, and since I can’t actually know them privately, I only know their public side).
@Alta2809 1. I downloaded some blueprints off of the web (three view orthographic)
2. Patiently spent time building this
.
It’s a great recreation, but it’s not perfect. It’s about 1-1.5 units short, and the fuselage is a bit short too, but the tails are too tall.
@danman12 Sweet! I play it too. Callsign Orion I. If you ever see me, don’t be afraid to shout me out! (Or just shoot me down, I’m typically in a Me-110)
@Zoomzoom999 And the problem I see is people get rewards (attention, friends, and especially dopamine) for acting like complete idiots, and typically make fun of people who don’t (who, generally, are people of higher intellect), and that sets them up for failure in the real world, as they’ll still be acting like idiots in college, if they even make it that far (I’m using my class this year for my personal example, and these thoughts may not personally reflect you, the reader, if you do this, and I understand. These are concerns that I personally have with the direction humanity is going, and how technology can be abused through such ways.)
@Jetliner101 Very likely. Take the atomic bombings (as controversial as they are). They caused a total combined death count of 129,000-226,000 deaths. But the other plan was a full scale invasion of the Japanese mainland. And while it didn’t happen, the projected casualty count, for U.S. soldiers alone, was in the millions. It was also believed that the whole Japanese populous would simply fight to the death, as their culture looked down upon surrendering so terribly that you were a shame to your whole family and village if you surrendered, so that would also leave civilian casualties high, if the whole populous isn’t wiped out by their mentality.
.
TL;DR, War causes some crazy shit to be made, but it arguably makes it shorter.
@Alta2809 it could use work, but it is by no means a bad aircraft so far. Good work so far!
Also, if you wanna hotlink something, try this:

Hey, you didn’t do the user shoutout!
Then again, I don’t blame you, with the hurricane and family and all.
+1All I can think of is ”You’ll float too.”
+1Definitely a cool concept!
+1@AtlasSP Hello, and I agree!
+1@Gameboi14 +1
Nice!
+1@TheOwlAce Ahhhhhh. That makes sense now. Thanks!

+1@Alta2809 WHAT DID I TELL YOU?!
+1I’m not gonna say I told you so, but I told you so.
Pilot 1:He’s gotta he the fastest builder I’ve ever seen.
+1Pilot 2:So it would seem...
I cry in iOS every time I see a beautiful ship like this.
+1IT GROWS LONGER EVERY TIME YOU FEED IT A 100
+1@JolyLoly close, it’s actually “Bitte!”
+1Yes. Germans use the same word for “please” and “you’re welcome.”
Conclusion: EFFICIENCY 1000
@JolyLoly Danke, Kamerad!
+1Or
Spacebo, Tovarisch!
“Bad quality”
+1Dude, this thing is awesome! Especially for something only built in an hour! It works great!
Probably. Also, you don’t need to tag him so many times lol
+1Why just for Android?
+1I could definitely see this being a thing on all platforms.
@Chancey21 oh, cool. Will that decrease or increase the part count?
+1@Chancey21 I understand how the mechanism work, but I’m wondering how you can build gears like that and not have them clip through each other or explode each other. I take it XML modding has something to do with it?
+1How do you make mechanisms like this work so well?
+1@Alta2809 yw!
+1@Gameboi14 Will do. Me and him go back quite a ways, so I’m sure I can find him somewhere.
+1@danman12 Thanks! See you in the (un)friendly skies!
+1Did... someone say...
CHOCOLATE?!?!?!?!
+1@Jim1the1Squid I’ve still a bit more than halfway to go, but I’ll definitely celebrate your golden crowning! @P0TET0Z congrats!
+1This Silbervogel is wunderbar!
+1It’s the first thing on the rules, dude. I’m not gonna report it, but at least try to refrain from this kind of thing. It flies ok, tho, so good job on that.
+1DAKKA
+1I think this’d be a cool idea if we could.
+1@Jim1the1Squid WHY WOULD YOU TAG HIM THEN, JIM?!
+1What problems are you having with it? Be as specific as possible.
+1Also, what are you trying to accomplish? I noticed it’s kind of a VTOL F-15 w/ thrust vectoring.
Challenge accepted.
+1@UnguidedCylinder ah, ok! Also, missed a point in my original comment. Edited it to make more sense. But still looks cool!
+1@Kiirsch why not both?

+1@Alta2809 See my comment on the F/A-18E. I just spent time on this. It took about a day-a couple days to make this

Massive gyro footer sounds quite cool (like a Hind gyrocopter?)

+1I know that feeling, comrade.
+1When you try to undo something and it clones the plane over and over and over and over.
+1Now we just need to make them fly!
+1NASH SOVIETSKY SOYUZ ANDREI
This is sweet! I love the detailing you put in!
+1Standar CIWS? Nah, let’s get a laser instead.
+1This is sweet tho!
