there's a property for the beacon and formation light, which is called input
so the first step is grab a beacon light, go to the xml of the beacon light, go to the BeaconLights section, and in the input property, change the value from None to VTOL>0.49

you can also go into further lengths by editing the value for slipSidewaysAsymptote and slipSidewaysExtremum just so you can retain that grip which the traction gives
