@Milo1628xa Thanks! Here is an example of the kind of torture I'm doing to your design: http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VDR3M5/DroneFuture-wip-2.
It should fly at about a 10 feet/second climb. I moved the gyro, cockpit and other stuff to make them easier to adjust, and experimented a bit with color and windows.
Oh, I've got the Show AoA mod on it so I can check to see the climb rate as I adjust the hinges. I can repost it without the Show AoA mod if you wish.
@HistoricBirds I see. I don't blame you, I thought you already had the pedals are part of a set. In that case, I'd suggest seeing if you can borrow a friends joystick or X Box controller and see if the game can handle both.
@Milo1628xa Intesting. I worked with your design a bit and one of the firsts things I did was get rid of the forward thrust engines in the body. Instead I had the rear engines "fold" up behind the body, when activated, to provide forward thrust. Then I folded the front engines part way, when activated, so they could prove forward thrust and enough lift to keep it flying.
When It's ready. Yes, we all want it now, but we also want it to run well, not crash, and be relatively bug free. Better we get a good game late than a bad one on time.
I think so. Try hooking them both up toy your PC and starting SP. Then go into the Setting-->Controls. Pick Yaw Right and press a button to reset it, but when you try to change it under Controller use the Right Rudder Pedal. Do the same thing with Yaw Left and the Left Rudder Pedal. It might work.
@Rub3n213 https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/0VjND2/5000-hp-260-inch-T2000-prop.
OK., but should I make a pair of 4733 hp, 360" blades for when you get to the Chinook?
Uh, twenty five 500 lb bombs would be 6.25 tons, not 12.5 kilotons. Since only about 40% on a bomb is explosive, you'd need something like 140450 five hundred pounds bombs to equal a 12.5 kiloton bomb.
P.S. Please build one with 140450 bombs, I'd love to see what that would do the the Beast!
@Rub3n213 So that's what you wanted 170'' blades for! Nice. It looks like the PBY, which is known as the Catalina, Canso, Cat, Black Cat, Mad Cat, Dumbo, MOP, Y-Boat, Pig Boat. If you want the speficics for it try: http://pbycatalina.com/specifications/
which has just about everything, right down to the 169" props.
@Loldererste That's because the forces that the plane is under change with speed, altitude and angle of bank. That fluttering is the first stages of the engines on the wingtips pulling ahead of the plane.
Great buggy! Say, would you like some custom rotators that only go one way? And I could set them up to do the transformation automatically with an AG button so you could free up VTOL for something else, say guns.
@CrazyCatZe Yeah but let me be certain I understand what you want. You want a jet engine modified to 15lbf?
One point of confusion here is that 15lbf is very weak. in the United States we use a period (dot) as a decimal point instead of a comma. For example the weakest jet engine in the game, the Blasto J15 is rated at 3,370lbf. That's three thousand seventy pound feet of force-not three.
@OC3LOT1142 Sorry, I misunderstood your post. If you want inspiration for designs I suggest you do a web search for new, novel, experimental, futuristic and exotic aircraft. Maybe something will give you an idea. Some of the newer ideas have very unusual shapes that can prove challenging to try and match in SP.
@Rub3n213 Normally you can change stuff, but there is a gltich in the game that tends to switch power back into the normal range. I encounter in when working on the 100 hp challenge. Sp would sneak the settings back to 250 hp. Even for minor things like nudging the engine or reattaching it elsewhere. That's why I suggest setting up everything on the engine first. It's not hard to deal with, it's just annoying-especially since it doesn't advertise the change. Just suddenly the plane performs differently.
You could just start the build with a 2000HP 150" engine and get it modded -that's safest.
If it does change it you can always request someone to mod it back.
I'll build it foy you. How many blades do you need? But, you might want to post what you want to attach it to. One thing that SP does with props with power or blades set beyond normal parameters is to scale them back when they are moved, nudged or fiddled with in anyway. So just attaching a plane to one might drop the power down. It's better to attach the prop first and then leave it alone.
Your improving. This is a nice small jet. As for your sinking issue, the plane is actually rolling over on it's right side to rest upside down. That's because the center of weight is near to top side. It's actually the tail than is flipping it over.
@jamesPLANESii Clever idea. I tried it but detachers, bond deadweight all add to the empty weight.
@BaconEggs Adding all that fuel to a light aircraft increases the range too much. Unless there is a way to mod fuel weight.
It looks like I'm just going to have to add 1500 pounds of deadweight to get the gross weight on target.
@HistoricBirds Good Luck. I might be upgrading my controller. If I do I'll try plugging both in at once and see if it works.
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Silver hammer man
This is looking really good. I start it off going 1400 mph @t 65000 feet and the scramjet kicks in nicely. Eeek! 2.5 million mph!
@Milo1628xa Thanks! Here is an example of the kind of torture I'm doing to your design: http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VDR3M5/DroneFuture-wip-2.

@Milo1628xa How do I post unlisted?
@HistoricBirds Oh. In that case you're probably best of waiting until someone here says they've done it already. If no one does, assume the worst.
@CrazyCatZe :). Let me know when you post your small VTOL vehicle, I'm curious.
@Milo1628xa Thanks. I'll see what I can come up with. It might not be worth posting, though. Not all my ideas pan out.
@HistoricBirds I see. I don't blame you, I thought you already had the pedals are part of a set. In that case, I'd suggest seeing if you can borrow a friends joystick or X Box controller and see if the game can handle both.
@CrazyCatZe Small VTOL, 1500lbf. Will do. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/S386fW/VTOL-for-CraztCatZe
@CrazyCatZe https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/El54GB/Smal-engen-Per-Request
@CrazyCatZe Ooops, sorry, I forgot. I'll do it right now.

@DustyT33 Impressive rudder/propeller system
@emigdio2000 LOL! Who is? What's it doing? I've crashed it more than anyone else, so I might have a clue as to whatever problem it's giving you.
Nice. BTW, What was your inspiration and what did you want to do with the engines? I'm asking because I'm working on something similar.
Very nice
@Rub3n213 Oops. Sorry, I'ts 4AM. So one with 260" and one with 270" and one with 280'.
@Rub3n213 Get a PC. SP is soooo much better on my PC compared to my tablets-especially when building stuff.
@Rub3n213 https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/0VjND2/5000-hp-260-inch-T2000-prop.
OK., but should I make a pair of 4733 hp, 360" blades for when you get to the Chinook?
@Rub3n213 What monster are you building now?
@ClarkSpernato Uh, it's still 6.5 tons, not kilotons. 1 kiloton= 1000 tons, and 1 (short) ton = 2000 pounds.
@ClarkSpernato Good Luck. If you pull it off I bet a plane will have to be careful not to get caught in the blast.
I'm trying to imagine how the inside is laid out. Considering it's height, it must be two floors and probably has a circular staircase.
Uh, twenty five 500 lb bombs would be 6.25 tons, not 12.5 kilotons. Since only about 40% on a bomb is explosive, you'd need something like 140450 five hundred pounds bombs to equal a 12.5 kiloton bomb.

Not a bad start. You did something tricky with side by side cockpits, too.
@AWESOMENESS360 That's what I thought when I loaded it up!
Oh, BTW, it can fly at 65K feet at 773 mph.
@Theplanelover77 Needs bacon

Your welcome. It really has a nice shape-like a microjet.

Just n case you aren't aware of it, that "fluttering" is beginning of your plane tearing itself apart.
15lbf of thrust, okay. How much do you want the engine to weigh? I assume you must be building some sort of ultralight.
@CrazyCatZe Yeah but let me be certain I understand what you want. You want a jet engine modified to 15lbf?

@Rub3n213 Two more props per request: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/7wo902/3500-hp-and-4500-hp-T2000-engines

@ACEPILOT109 Yeah, I though he was some newbie who is having trouble with his first builds.
@Rub3n213 Propeller is up: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/d7qro2/2500-Prop-for-Rub3n213
Enjoy. I hope you post whatever it is you need it for.

@bjac0 That was a bit out of line.
@BaconEggs Doesn't everything go well with fries?
@BaconEggs Haven't you ever had BBQ Kerbal?
@RailfanEthan "not ksp"
LOL!! I just need five Kerbals!
Your improving. This is a nice small jet. As for your sinking issue, the plane is actually rolling over on it's right side to rest upside down. That's because the center of weight is near to top side. It's actually the tail than is flipping it over.
