@idk201011323 No worries! If you want to keep tabs on my activity, you can check my comments (as in the ones that I post) on my profile. I tend to comment more than post these days, since I am quite busy.
Looks quite good. Kindof like the Mamba from Elite Dangerous. My only real criticism here is that I think it would look better with a slightly-elongated canopy section :)
That would make a user like me, who has only posted twice on SR2, be one of the top users on there, point-wise. Tbh I don’t deserve to be on the front page of users on SR2 - that position is best occupied by one who is actually an important part of the SR2 community.
In fact, DebugExpression can be used for a wide variety of things. You can use it for any value, such as PitchRate, YawRate, AltitudeAgl, etc. You can also use DebugExpression with any funky trees expression.
Great to hear! PC is much more robust than iOS. I can’t wait to see what you create! Given your already high level of quality, I am sure that your next build will be quite nice.
.
As for mods, upload with screenshots is a nice one, unless if you somehow have access to a custom thumbnail mod. I’m not sure how custom thumbnail mods work - mine is a really barebones and awful thing to work with.
@PapaKernels Actually, quite a few people enjoy reading (or at least skimming) my longform content. If you check out my more recent builds, you will notice that they come with technical documentation (that is much more dense than this post) that people seem to appreciate.
.
Note that this manual is by no means a list of controls. That is what a description is for. Also note that most of my builds use novel control systems that require additional explanation.
.
Most importantly, I had fun making this. My (temporary foster) cat was laying in my lap, and playing games would disturb her - my solution was to quickly whip up this supplementary manual.
@Sm10684 Ty! This instruction manual gives a more in-depth explanation of some stuff. Of course, the description of the build itself will have a more shorthand list of controls.
@PapaKernels Thanks for the response! Good take too. Ultimately the result should be a more robust (rehabilitative) and fair justice system IMO, which is more or less what you are describing. As for the “defund the police” slogan, it was pretty bad for optics, but really just meant that some (not all) funds should be reallocated to other programs that have been shown to reduce crime without putting desperate people behind bars. Anyway that’s all I’ll say, since whatever disagreements we may have are most likely within nuanced details :)
Responding to Wiiimini's response, BLM wasn't really a bad part of 2020...
Police reform has been long overdue in the US by now -- 99% of the movement's proposed reforms are common sense, and have been implemented in every other comparable country.
.
My comment may be out of place here, but this is an issue that I am passionate about. This issue is also quite prone to misinformation.
.
As for my 2020, this year hasn't been so bad. Socially it was meh, but my career prospects skyrocketed. Might take a new job relating to flight systems and aerospace vehicle dynamics (fingers crossed).
@J0S3PHS7AL1N You can scale wheels in Fine Tuner, which allows you to stretch them, in a way. For more context, you can look up something along the lines of “hover wheels” in the website search
@J0S3PHS7AL1N Honestly depends on what kind of vehicle you are making. If it is a generic hovercraft, then scale some wheels to be almost flat, then attach them to your vehicle.
@ZFRFRK To use the weapon, you have to hold the fireGuns button even if it is greyed out. If the button doesn't appear, then try adding a random wing gun to make the button appear.
Lmao why do your restrictions specifically exclude futuristic builds? It seems like a completely arbitrary decision that only results in you having less good builds to choose from...
@NexusGaming I’m not sure what advice works best, but in my opinion, inspiration is the key. Find some spaceship drawings that you really, really like, and try your hardest to re-create them as an SP model. And, if you begin to deviate from your original design intentions, just go with the flow, and embrace your design differences! My style is the result of numerous failed attempts to re-create the styles that have inspired me.
The clamp function that you used can probably be mathematically edited to work as you need it, but in my experience, booleans are better. Try this: (TargetDistance > 1046 & TargetDistance < 1207) ? 1 : 0
Lemme know if it works or not!
@tsampoy Ty! That was a goal of mine

@BusterShortWolf Ty! I was going for that sort of vibe
+1@AWESOMENESS360 Thanks!
@Eventotaku Ty! I tried to keep the part count low on this one.
+1@CyanWasNotTheImpostor Finally published! You can find the aircraft here.
@EliteArsenals24 @UraniumOxide @QuitePossiblyMangled Finally published! You can find it here.
@BigBigTheMac @Gluck @urbanculture It has been published! You can find the plane here.
Nah.
No problem! My CMDR name is the same as my SP name, in case you (and anyone else) are curious.

+2@ZFRFRK 597 parts

+1.

@EliteArsenals24 Ty! Likewise for your builds :)
+1@Sm10684 Yep! The pdf itself was directly exported from PowerPoint. I also use Krita to greenscreen pictures of my builds.
+1@BigBigTheMac Ty!
@urbanculture Will do :)
@Gluck Ty! I was going for a Milano vibe.

+1@BigBigTheMac Ty! I keep part counts low out of, among other factors, laziness. After all, 500 parts are much easier to work with than 1000 :)
+2@tsampoy Should be easy to do if you download the pdf!
@BigBigTheMac Part count is 597, so performance will vary based on your device. Release date is TBD
+1@Redisnotsusguys Nah
Not enough airbrakes
Not sure why, but this aircraft looks extra appealing for some reason!
+2Steam is most likely the largest game vendor in the market. Nothing sketchy about that.
Turn it off and turn it on again
+4This should help
Unironically, this is pretty cool
SPesus has commented, so that probably means that this is a good build. Well done!

+1@WiiMini Ah, thanks for clarifying! Makes sense then. I couldn’t have said it better myself :)

@ZFRFRK I haven't set a timeframe yet. It all depends on when I want to finish it!
@WiiWiiTheMini Every single one, but in this case idc, because I really have nothing new to show. But other futuristic players have plenty to offer.
Lmao why do your restrictions specifically exclude futuristic builds? It seems like a completely arbitrary decision that only results in you having less good builds to choose from...
+2PC is much easier to work with than any other platform. The transition is quite easy from mobile, as the controls are basically the same.

@CrimsonOnigiri I’m lost on context haha, what did I miss?
Lmao not sure why people care. It’s kind of inconsequential tbh
+1This would be a nice feature. Though, since most drag in SP is caused by wings, you can assume that your CoD is near your CoL
Congrats!

@Rodrigo110 Ultimately the same problems extend into today, yes. As a society we certainly have work to do.
