@NathanMikeska both my laptops (may be thats the case, built in GPU) have exactly the same issue. current config: HP Elitebook 840 G2, 4gb RAM, core i5-5200U 2,2GHz, built in Intel® HD Graphics 5500. Thats my job laptop, home one is much more powerful, bit it is still core i... smth) i can look later
P.S. !!!! wow, stop! it started working on my office one, just tried. gonna test again at home
Guys! There is a better version already, i recommend downloading it instead, there are some mistakes corrected.

I thought about making the livery as small panels but decided its too difficult. Well, next time i'll do it your way) Landing gear is amazing too, much better than what i do!
Started to fly it, and i think it asks for a trim slider... Tends to go pitch down too much. Dont mind if in some time i make an offshoot? With new wings? I'm collecting soviet airplanes)
@BaconEggs well, its a replica of a not so well known plane) b747 would not need a description at all) And controls are complex, they need a description anyway)
@PaderiegeZ It's more than ehough good to play) Just doesnt feel right. I'll try tweaking it with pleasure, just give me some time. Anyway, it looks perfect. Going to quit my current job tommorrow, and start with another one, will probably be busy
Made some mistakes again(((( gonna reupload tomorrow. Also found a flight manual and have read how aileron trimmers work. Have a better idea for them. They also work always in opposite directions to the ailerons - they make it easy to move ailerons instead of hidraulic assistance
On most of my heavy planes autopilot started doing this right on any speed (but the faster the worse) right after the update. before update this only happened in mach 2 supersonic business jet i was making
@JordanPlayz101 more like b-52 sized, russian made b-47. But when it made its mayden flight, it already had engines moved to the fuselage, like my tu-104. Overall, it is very similiar to early b-52 technically, even had many similiar problems. Apart from engines near the fuselage (in real life m-4 planes), the only notable difference (and a deficiency) compared to b-52 is that m-4 lacked spoilerons for roll control, so it was not suitable for low level flights due to having roll limitations on low altitude and high speed - because of long flexible swept wings having ailerons reversal effect (though it was not as severe as on b-47 somehow)
@ChiChiWerx it was a problem for me for a long time as well)
luckily, all the doors on this plane (and many other tupolev planes) are two parts. Front small opens on the same speed as gear rotates and they dont collide as they are short. Rear parts open first and then close even with gear down. They have a mechanism with 3 different speed rotators (90 deg fast one direction, 90deg 20% slow same direction and 180deg 20% opposite direction, easier to disassemble than explain))) . But the second time you deploy landing gear it rotates backwards. So i made two of them in one place - they move in different directions and you either see one or another each time. And they are "no collision"
Found it great apart from pitch control, i think it over sensitive. And a trim slider would be nice) i added it, don't mind if i post it? I hugely like the way it looks, especially the engine!
@pushthelimits by the way, that's a model of real engine Ivchenko-Progress D-27, the only current Prop-Fan engine in use (though limited) - on AN-70 military cargo plane) And in reality - it has 8 instead of 6 blades on each prop)))

@Sarpanitu did this on some models for roll control. And "shrinked" main wing in scale and increased twice in size for better gliding, it helped, but the plane glides on very low speed and takes off at 70 mph)))
@JayJoeCc Thanks! But i found some mistakes (for example missing left cockpit wall), and some points to improve ( finally got idea how to make sychronised gear doors, plus made better eailerons). Stay tuned, probably will re-upload in several days
It appears i made a mistake with horizontal stabilizer settings... plane feels too nose heavy, strange i didn't notice before... probably will delete this model and upload corrected. Anyway, i also found out i oversize vertical fin and found out how to synchronize landing gear doors with landing gear itself. Gonna make that too.
Thanks a lot, guys! Well, except overestimating air resistance and underestimating stall, the game is suprisingly realistic, than why not use it, its the most interesting to try match real world fluying qualities)
@CALVIN232 thats actually what i tried so far, except that i didn't add hidden wings, but changed wings scale to 0.5 and doubled all the dimensions, thus giving 4x wing area. It started gliding indeed, but only on a very low speed, about 100 mph, and it also started to fly very strange( like a butterfly)))
Looks like some late war Arado bomber-projects. However, it would be more fun with flaps and easier to fly with trim slider. And bicycle landing gear either need front landing gear longer than rear like boening b47 and myasichev 3m or a wing with extreme angle of attack like b52. Otherwise the take off poorly as it is difficult to pitch up on takeoff run due to rear landing gear is far away behind center of gravity.
@WalrusAircraft I ment only the way to do it in-game. i usually make fuselage parts on wings with oval cross-section and and use wing panels to form trailing edge, they look more real-life that way. if you don't mind, i'll modify your model a bit the way i like to do wing here a bit more, ok?
almost ideal. however, you need to make flaps slower, synchronize different flaps parts and add spoilers and spoilerons. Otherwise - its great. Actually, i can make all those things if you don't mind.
Well, the model is quite controversial. It's really good in terms of design, detail and effort, but it is so much out of scale, proportions and form...
You must have changed something)) It started working fine on both my laptops))) Its great!

Any ideas why it ends with huge pink squares instead of a smoke? same thin with air pollution mod((( May be somebody knows what to do?

Very very good. I would have only made a trailing edge differently. Livery accuracy is completely amasing, i still wasn able do do it that smooth!
@BaconEggs well, its a replica of a not so well known plane) b747 would not need a description at all) And controls are complex, they need a description anyway)

The model is great! but i don't like how fast and sensitive are controls - it feels like a toy.
By the way - you can add limits to VTOL rotators in XML - so flaps dont move up. Copy a flap mechanism from one of my models.
@BaconAircraft @Cedy117 thanks, guys! I enjoyed this one alot too!

I will be uploading a new version (better engines, cockpit, flaps and landing gear) soon, stay tuned)

still quite cool! Would be great to try combine it with gyro cockpit mod as a way to tell the sight current pitch
There is a perfect mod just like you requested, GyroCockpit. But it is onlyavailable via steam workshop
Nice! Very nice!
Thanks a lot, guys! Well, except overestimating air resistance and underestimating stall, the game is suprisingly realistic, than why not use it, its the most interesting to try match real world fluying qualities)
@WalrusAircraft thanks !
@Supercraft888 totally agree
@AudioDud3 well, i think a weeks ban is not that big of a deal, i post planes once in a month or two)
@Supercraft888 i think so as well, its a bit too much
@AudioDud3 thanks, Bro) But i barely care, it's was just funny given his "3 points" rating)
@Supercraft888 that was not about you, on contrary, thanks for the warning! we were speculating what did Thenewowenbuilder reported about)
@Verterium may be he had a bad day) or because there was a word f$@&up in the description)
@Supercraft888 i did, but honestly, that was the most accurate description)
@SimpleFlow thanks!
@XxcreedexX I tried to make it as difficult to fly as in real life, but failed)
@CALVIN232 thanks a lot! Waiting eagerly)
@CALVIN232 what do you mean? Sorry didnt get it. Which way modded?
@EternalDarkness hm... gonna try, that's not necessary make sense, but at least it s a new idea)
@CALVIN232 thats actually what i tried so far, except that i didn't add hidden wings, but changed wings scale to 0.5 and doubled all the dimensions, thus giving 4x wing area. It is amusingly sturdy and controllable on rough terrain!
almost ideal. however, you need to make flaps slower, synchronize different flaps parts and add spoilers and spoilerons. Otherwise - its great. Actually, i can make all those things if you don't mind.
i would have made wings profile differently, but otherwise - it is AWESOME!
AWESOME! And id doesnt lag even a bit on my shitty office laptop
Awesome make!!! the only thing - i thing it is extremely overpowered, hard to drive)
Well, the model is quite controversial. It's really good in terms of design, detail and effort, but it is so much out of scale, proportions and form...
+1Looks very promising!
Wow) Thats unusual)
P.s. making a supersonic variant of tu-124 too)) so far it's too tricky to fly(
Gonna have a closer look, but it definitely looks very promising
Well, it's really detailed and well crafted, but proportions, and, especially wing form are totally wrong...
+1
