@TheMouse yeah it might be nice to make a follow-up to my original comparison. After all, Flyout has gotten quite a few updates and patches, and there’s quite a bit to comprehend with it. That’s a great idea. I might try my hand at a helicopter tutorial, I know Walvis made one a while back but it probably doesn’t hurt to have another one out there. I’ll make sure to credit your ideas if I do end up making these.
@HuskyDynamics01 I really like that idea actually. Maybe like a 2-3 part series, enough to get the message across that I’m actually committed to making content about SP. I think your idea about concept and scope is pretty ingenious, I’ll make sure I give you credit if I do make this.
I like helicopters with performance that is smoothed and enhanced with Funky Trees, that said I like the classic Trim control as it seems the most authentic to real life.
clamp(sum(pitch), 0, 1) and sum(roll) might work better because the turret won’t return home after you move it. Also pitch and roll might need to be capitalized, I forget
@MagicRecord2168 I’ve found funky trees isn’t as complicated as it may seem, I thought it was really difficult until I sat down and read through the guide. That’s when I realized it’s actually way less intimidating than I thought. It’s the only coding language I know, and I learned it in maybe like 2 hours? It’s pretty easy if you’re willing to commit the time to learning.
Yeah it’s cause it stands out from the blueprints and reminds you that you need to paint it. Also it looks good in screenshots because people know that the things a WIP
This is actually so good lol
Only thing I would change is to make the gyroscope activated by Funky Trees so that when it rolls over it automatically flips back. I think that using RollAngle > 90 ? 1 : 0 as the activation group for the gyro in Overload would do it.
Edit: I tried it out, it does work but it might be better to set that number to like 80 instead of 90 so that if it's stuck on its side it can roll over.
It's possible through some pretty complicated Funky Trees, I've never attempted writing it from scratch but I used some code from jamesPLANESiii on this car
@TalonTheCRTguy I would find the model number and find the exact PSU that came with it. Those old prebuilts usually have proprietary power connectors, so if you just drop in an off-the-shelf PSU it might not even work. Maybe find the model number and search for PSUs compatible with it if you need to upgrade your wattage (like if you're adding a GPU).
@TalonTheCRTguy yeah if you need a GPU go ahead, although in my experience using a GT710 they aren't great at anything very intense. I use one for running a live stream somewhere, and it hits 80% usage just running a streaming software at 720p resolution. The SimplePlanes experience would be interesting to see as it is technically within the minimum specs I think
Would?
You mean a gyroscope?
@Adventurehill1 go to rebirths.kr for the most popular one. You may have to refresh once or twice before the website works.
They can, but they won’t unless it breaks the rules
+2@Tingly06822 what an awesome idea actually
I think I’m gonna start working on that first. Tysm
@Nerfaddict oh there’s one of those like 30 minutes from my house
That’s pretty cool, Habitat for Humanity’s a really good cause
Nice. What kind of job do you have?
Boil it. Then it will evaporate and it’s very essence will fill the air.
+1@Randomplayer well yeah but what kind of content?

+3I’m tagging a few people here, hopefully you guys will have some ideas and can help start a conversation.

yes

yessir, joined the website back in 2022. Made it to platinum in a year and a half though, which is interesting, to say the least.
4 platinum ranks.
Holy moly.
@FlyingPatriot wait so you can't scale them at all? I was just thinking I could experiment with blender measuring tools to get stuff to look right.
@FlyingPatriot actually genius, I might want to look into this technique to get things to scale.
+1Brings me back to when this was the highest rated thing on the front page. Dang, that was right around when I started playing.
Oooo looks very clean.
It's wayne manor after the joker took it over in the lego batman movie
Uh oh guys, he grew up…
+2@CrestelAeronautics *meant to say can only download this on windows
@ShinyGemsBro there’s a one month cooldown, they just made that manually
those people would be toast if the pickle blessed you with it’s presence
What’s your Venmo? I’ll donate $0.27
Yes.

+1@TheMouse I have spoken
@TalonTheCRTguy it's a GT710, those things are ancient, and after the shortage they've gone incredibly cheap
+1Didn't realize people thought I was good at Funky Trees lol
@TheMouse ruh roh I gotta get cookin real quick
@TalonTheCRTguy you just get the right motherboard, slap the right parts in there, and that’s it. example
