Got about 200 on Steam and I'd estimate in between 300-500 on iOS.
They're all pretty well-made, I don't really care honestly
Very subjective because at the highest level it really comes down to creativity, but my personal pick would be spefyjerbf.
Idk there are some extremely high part count ships out there.
Could go either way, I know I would play SP2 if it came out.
In the modern generation I'd rather have a PlayStation. PC is really the best though, and every single xbox game can be played on Windows, so there's no reason to get an xbox assuming money is not a large concern.
@Majakalona assuming you have the lowest end model (you may or may not, this is just what I'm using for my assessment), your laptop probably can run it. You probably won't have as much designer lag as me, and you can almost definitely have better graphics in the free fly mode. If you buy it on Steam, you can refund it later if it doesn't work on your device as long as you have spent under 2 hours in game.
@Majakalona yeah the price difference is about $7 USD. I have no clue how well Roblox functions as a PC benchmark, but flyout seems to be more related to the GPU, which basically means that the lag is caused by the graphics. So while my CPU wasn't working too hard, my GPU was maxed out.
worst comes to worst, you can take the xml files from your computer and use google drive or something to transfer them all to your phone's aircraft folder.
sounds like its attempting to hide from the fact that it's a furry-related rp thingy
not trying to state any personal opinions about that; just pointing it out.
Flyout isn't even out yet and you're gonna need a powerful PC, not a phone or crappy laptop.
In other words: it isn't taking over SimplePlanes' intended market.
Flyout will not be releasing on mobile; and even on pc it won't work with integrated graphics.
Edit: look at the minimum system requirements:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: AMD Athlon X4 845, Intel Core i5 6400
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 1050, Radeon RX 580
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 3 GB available space
RECOMMENDED:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
DirectX: Version 11
If you want a game where you can fly F-14s, I recommend Ace Combat 7 with the Top Gun Maverick DLC. It is quite expensive to get it (it's like $70) but it does go on sale on Steam pretty often for about $10-20 USD. The aircraft performance is very unrealistic, but in a fun, arcadey way, not in a janky way.
@LunchBox idk, they do have another couple of weeks to finish their builds, but I haven't actually seen a sign of anybody actually building something, other than you ofc.
@32 the post. There's an old game where you can put a hamster in a microwave. It's called something like Mad Manshion, but I can't remember.
Edit: whoops replied to myself
So I think I'll explain how this works for somebody who might be wondering. So first of all, this is only three parts: a 1000 blade propeller, a base, and a cockpit. The only functional thing on here is a propeller. The funky trees code is just a line that makes the rotor pitch go back and forth, and this is where the movement of the illusion comes from.
You may be familiar with the xml attribute chordScale, this increases the distance from the leading edge to the trailing edge of the blade, which at small numbers simply means it makes the propeller blades wider. On this thing though, the chord scale is turned up insanely high, which does some really trippy stuff even if you have a prop with only a few blades. In addition, the blade thickness is turned way up which certainly makes it look even stranger. (edit: chord scale is jsut the xml value for thickness, I didn't notice that)
So in conclusion, this utilizes some really strange and buggy stuff in the game to create a really interesting illusion, which is probably what you thought was going on the whole time lol
There are lots of weird things you can do.
+1Yeah random people in the forums can't help. Go to the contact page and they'll help fix your issues.
+1awkward 4.6 year silence
+1@Graingy basically the whole User Experience.
+1@Graingy and J:NO is actually better than ksp imo
+1Yeah if you use troll shield you can’t see them and they can’t see you to my knowledge

@DuskBlade they do but it’s not as loud/obnoxious.
+1you could build a custom propeller with rotators and I think it would be pretty much silent.
+1@Graingy also, here's jesuschrist's current account
+1@Graingy I mean in terms of gaming, yeah you are kinda invisible
+1@Majakalona if you don't mind me asking, why do you use a 2DS to browse the website?

@ToeTips that's actually a great idea, I'll probably do that.
+1@Majakalona oh yeah no I wasn't trying to be sus, just curious what model of laptop you have
+1@Majakalona nice! do you have the 15 inch or the 17 inch?
+1most of my builds are actually made on ps2

@FalHartIndustries the part where she launches chaff + some random headline lol
+1why the heck does that civilian plane have chaff lol
+1like, who do they think they are, Fed-Ex?
@DDVC yeah that's probably way better than what I said
+1@Pan daily uploads does that lol
+1this is a reference to some really old point-and-click video game I've forgotten the name of.
+1Is it Mad Mansion?
This is driving me crazy

That F-89's livery is absolutely beautiful.
+1Are they all unique or is it possible for there to be identical ones?
+1Ohhh that's crazy
+1interesting.
@ToeTips that's the truth, you worked with me on the 4Runner so you know what I'm talking about lol
+1Remember, we are not defined by our hardships, but by the way we overcome!
Least discouraging thing I can think of
+1@LunchBox That is good reasoning, after all it does feel good to drive, so although it's not realistic it is still quite good.
+1No
+1Very good!
