Short novel warning:
I completely agree. I don't mean to sound like an elitist, but in my opinion, getting upvotes is something that should be earned and needed to work for, not getting it for granted just because one is a new player. Most users will not be encouraged to make better builds if any low effort build they make will recieve upvotes regardles of their quality (Of course, there are a few users, myself included, who do build for the sake of building and not for the sake of points, but recently it seems they are fewer and fewer, and there are more people who just do it for the points, and these mass upvotings aren't making the situation any better)
And don't get me wrong, I'm all about supporting new players, but within reasonable limits. Does a new player show great talent and potential to be great builder? Support them! Does a player just upload low effort repaints, tutorial planes or any other stuff that can be thrown together in a few minutes? Then you probably shouldn't upvote/spotlight and instead, kindly let them know that they should practice their skills a bit more or maybe even point out where they could have improved their builds.
That being said, everyone has the right to enjoy the game and use the website in whatever way they want it, as long as they don't violate any rules. But maybe, as a community we should be focusing on bringing out the best from everyone, rather than handing out participation awards. Again, that's just my opinion.
@Majakalona That comment was a joke btw, and Inuyasha already clarified this to you before, so no, it's not the reason why SGB was banned, please don't spread misinformation. He deleted that comment because the joke flew right over your head
(also why do you keep misspelling his name?)
@Alternation Indeed. I'd invite you to join but the deadline is literally today, so unless you can throw something together in 11 and half hours, it's too late unfortunately (which is a bummer, I think you could have made an awesome entry as well)
@HondaBoi200 Honda doesn't want their brand/name to be present on the website and they'd sue Jundroo if they don't remove any mention of their name from the website. So the moderators will most likely change your username and the title of this post too.
@Apollo018362 His main account was banned and by posting on this alt account he violated the rule about ban evasion, so the mods banned this account as well
Make a custom wheel and attach it on a rotator with and FT input (dont use the "very large range" thing, it's not a good solution, very obsolete and you essentially can't control it)
The FT input can be as simple as `sum(Throttle)' (you can replace throttle with any input like Pitch or VTOL or something) but it can be made even more complex to add things like gear shifting and such, tho I'm not familiar with making those, but the sum(input) FT code should be good for a start.
This will allow you to fine tune it a lot btw, by changing it like sum(Throttle*2) you can double the performance, or sum(Throttle/2) will halve it, you get the idea
If it's supposed to be Hungarian, why did you make it with Bulgarian markings? (the flag on the tail and the roundels on the fuselage and wings are Bulgarian)
Living in a former eastern bloc country, I still see some Trabant 601s and Lada Rivas running around that I'm sure are not a common sight outside of the former eastern bloc
"Wait, wasn't this uploaded before?"
Yes indeed it was, and when I wanted to edit something in the description I accidentally missclicked and removed it, so I'm reuploading it now, sorry for this mistake
I'd like to ask for the same permission as Ayanon. I'm not certain if I'd make any public builds with it, but I'd definitely like to build a few ships using these codes for personal use or maybe for teaser videos, is that okay? I'd give credit to you on any public post of course
@Randomplayer I'm sad to hear that:(
I'll remove you from the list then but I still have some hope that maybe you'll upload a surprise entry before the deadline, don't give up!
@FOXHOUND26 Don't force yourself with the tumblehome if you find it hard. While it was quite common, many Pre-dreads didn't have it, and instead had fully vertical sides, for example IJN Mikasa or USS Indiana (BB-1), but the list goes on. So if you are making a fictional ship and not a replica, you don't have to waste too much time on a tumblehome if you don't like it that much:)
Since you are not in the Port SP server, and you said you'd join, I'm reminding you here that with today, only one month is left from the challenge. Good luck with your entries, I'm looking forward to them!

@BrieCheese Did you use the cockpit from this post? If not, no problem, I'll just ask a moderator to make it a successor to this post. Also no need to tag me there, just drop a comment here when you are finished uploading and I'll check out your profile to find it
@BrieCheese It's bit complex Funky Tree system. It would be a bit long to explain it here
Do you have discord account perhaps? in the Port SP server I have a detailed guide to it. (invite link)
@Samfpanzer It uses an actual functional rudder (made with a wing) to steer while there is another wing inside the bottom of the hull to keep it from drifting sideways. the rest it just fine adjustment of these: size of the rudder wing, ship speed, rudder swing speed etc
@Samfpanzer Yup, I have four Austro-Hungarian ships on my build list actually:
- SMS Leitha, a river monitor that actually exists to this day and which I have already started work on (about 30% finished rn)
- SMS Zrínyi, a semi-dreadnought battleship
- SMS Budapest, a coastal defense battleship
- SMS Szent István remake, a dreadnought battleship (I've already built her before but that was many years ago and I want to make a newer version)
@Mousewithamachinegun122 Yup, a lot has happened since then, but I'm quite proud of my first year (as I am of most of the years of my SP work), I reached a lot of achievements
Yep, meme builds tend to get the most attention on the website. My most upvoted build (Ever Given) is also one that was a popular meme at the time I posted it
As others said, discord images no longer work (minus a few exceptions where I saw them still working for a few people but it's rare). I use Flickr for hosting now (I spent two days reuploading everything from discord lol), it's pretty reliable, but I heard ImgBB is good as well
I personally think it's not good to force the game if you dont feel like playing it. Im on a build hiatus too rn for the same reason.
But if you really want to build something before going on hiatus, I'd say maybe make a small regional prop airliner like the Bombardier Dash-8 (doesn't have to be a replica, just losely based on it)
Sounds like a simple relaxing build to me:)
As far as I know there is no way. Best you can do is go through who upvoted your builds and check on their profiles one by one but ofc that's very tedious and time consuming
@Hoawdie Well, it's preferred to build the ship entirely by yourself, but you can use assets from others (with proper credit of course), although expect some score deduction for it (the more borrowed parts you use, the more points would be deducted from your final score)

@L1nus Sometime I do, but not too often lol

@DauntB Good to hear! You'll have to hurry tho, there is less than two weeks until the deadline

+1@SiBangsatYa Alright, thanks for letting me know
*cries in freedom* so democratic
+1Living in a former eastern bloc country, I still see some Trabant 601s and Lada Rivas running around that I'm sure are not a common sight outside of the former eastern bloc
@FlyingPatriot I have a pretty beefy gaming laptop so fps is not much of a problem, only when I bring in some very high part count build
@FlyingPatriot I haven't experienced any issues so far
@FlyingPatriot All thumbnails show up properly for me
Give this man a job at Jundroo as the map maker for SP2, right now!
+1@Seeras Could you please make this a successor of this post?

@AviationFanLithuanian You can't, it's a mod that's not available for mobile
@Samfpanzer Yes they are allowed
T for these AI-auto-aim ships
+1@SBACERT It's not, they announced it way before April, the game is about 10 years old now and they are a small team, they moved on to new projects
+3There will be no more updates, the devs announced it after the last update
