There's nothing horribly wrong about them, but they're not front page material. A good plane needs clean, precisely placed details on a smoothly constructed body. Make use of materials and colors correctly, and then you have a better chance. It also needs to actually fly well, otherwise its just a pretty frame with no substance. Also, spending hours on a plane is nothing. A high quality build should take days.
@F4f879 The fuselages are merely stylistic. I mean the actual wing pieces. It's a low speed prop, so flat bottom provides it with the lift it needs. Adding weight to the tail helps bring the CoM closer to the CoL, so that it won't feel nose heavy
@F4f879 Make the main wings flat bottom, and add about 800 lbs to the tail end of the fuselage, and it should be far more responsive. Also @Braydonsjej Do not accuse people of theft without reading. The predecessor chain links only to HIS own planes.
Fuselage pieces provide zero lift. Wing pieces are always required. To embed a wing, you first create the entire fuselage form, and then attach the wing piece above or below, at the root of the wing. You then nudge the part into place. (shift+qweasd) I'd recommend mirroring your wing parts before moving each into place manually in order to avoid asymmetrical attachments forming.
It's a great shape undoubtedly, but all those panels... its so unnecessary. 3/4 of the main fuselage could just be made of large round fuselage pieces and have the exact same end result but smoother. That nozzle is 10/10 tho
Mooooooom!!!!! people are being mean to me on the internet!!!!!!!
-_- Really? Online multiplayer has been the best mod ever added to this game, and legitimate mp support could likely solve many of the issues with the simple mod version, like text chat, better netcode, and support for distance culling/LoD. The main reasons they probably won't include instability, lack of mobile support, and lack of ability to provide official servers. They don't want to promote a buggy product. Local multiplayer is pointless and adds no value to SP, and your example of "local" is actually online. Local means either same machine or LAN, not WiFi.
Great idea, voted. It really would be nice to have some customisation in the weapon field. I'd definitely include the option for ignition delay though.
Very nice but it does have quite a few issues. From my recent experience building my transforming YoRHa unit, I can say disabling part collision on a lot of the moving pieces is absolutely essential. With that you can also reduce the stages of the transformation to only one or two buttons, as minor part clipping won't be an issue. Right now, it's quite vulnerable to exploding with overstress, which is very easy to fix with Overload or xml edit.
@Mox Well, options never hurt. Sometimes its nice to toss around a fighter jet instead of civilian planes. As for sticks, I use a thrustmaster T.16000M fcs. if you want the full experience, I'd recommend a full hotas, just because using a little throttle switch on a stick is just... meh. Also gives you infinitely more buttons which are needed so badly in flight sims. Really depends how much you want to spend though.
you can also go DCS if you want maximum fidelity combat sim. Single planes are basically full sims, with every single switch being clickable and simulated. It is however, expensive, and a full HOTAS is needed to even enjoy it.
Great Viggen, perfect model. Few problems though: The Viggen's canards are flaps which are lowered with the landing gear, and pitch control should be combined with roll on the all of the main wing flaps, which are tied together and act as one surface on the JA models. Other than that, good work
@Z3RO @Ephwurd @rubbishcraft Thanks guys, glad you like it :) Also, thanks for the spotlights @JMicah4 @Hyperloop @Liquidfox, it's greatly appreciated.
Great job as always, nice work on the nozzles especially. The afterburner grates are a nice touch. Only thing i'd change is making the inlets a notch narrower at the front
@ColonelStriker It's just a wider and narrower cylinder built with a spring in between. Stack them all vertically, then nudge the spring and narrow cylinder up into the bigger one. Since the whole gear pieces are connected to a hinge, springs are modded to be 4x stronger than normal springs so they don't collapse under the plane's weight, because any parts following hinges or other joints are substantially weaker if they aren't heavy.
@JoddyFubuki788 Nah, nothing to do with Gundam actually.. This is mostly a blend of Ace Combat's X-02 and Shinden II, with some Yukikaze and Macross stlye features
@Liquidfox @spefyjerbf @AudioDud3 Finally released it today :D Changed the paintjob to something a little sleeker too - hope you like it. AFX-55 Murasame

Ah the good ol' unity missing texture color. It burns my eyes.

mod a fuel tank to have BOTH max and contained fuel to 10000 or whatever, and reduce the part weight to 0
@UssInvincible It's that thing that we all totally look at all the time :D

10/10 sarcasm
That sure is one ugly overpriced SUV.

@AdrianFlyingAce . . . . . .Your point..?
What is guilt? :)

@Ephwurd @ribs4lunch Glad you like it :)
@ChiChiWerx I would, but you see... I'm too lazy
Looks great, but hovering at 13% really does seem overpowered though.. gonna be a pain to perform fine adjustments
@DankDorito Errr... can't say I do..
Thanks for the spotlights! @jamesPLANESii @realluochen9999
tfw you made a sphere out of like 50 parts instead of just using literally 1 sphere part..... Cool vehicle though
Great little heli

@jamesPLANESii It's all finished and posted :D
@Wakescar Thanks :)
@DankDorito Thanks for the spotlight :D
@jamesPLANESii @Gestour @Avro683Lancaster @TTHHSSSS @Multidimensional @goboygo1 @randomusername
Thanks guys :D added some new screens of the (almost) final version and a short update. Just a few minor tweaks to go.
@Z3RO @Ephwurd @rubbishcraft Thanks guys, glad you like it :) Also, thanks for the spotlights @JMicah4 @Hyperloop @Liquidfox, it's greatly appreciated.
2 fps?.... rip.
Check out the improved TVC version!
Thanks for the spotlights! @TTHHSSSS @Mumpsy
@JohnnyBoythePilot Thanks! Hope those mods help
Great job as always, nice work on the nozzles especially. The afterburner grates are a nice touch. Only thing i'd change is making the inlets a notch narrower at the front
@JohnnyBoythePilot All designed and built in SP with the help of Overload and Fine tuner mods.
@JohnnyBoythePilot Indeed :)

Mine has like.. a thin stripe of red... on the main wings. Meh, close enough.
Very clean and sleek. Nicely done.
Interesting design, I like it
@ChasingHorizon No, I've already made the Shinden. This is a heavy twin engine fighter in a similar style
Very sleek. The landing gear though... It's bad. This thing needs some real gear with ground clearance in a proper layout, and it would be perfect
@Benkelmans Where am i at? Working, MMO's, and generally other games. Haven't made anything on SP in forever.
