@LoafOfBread thanks :) it all depends on how its built, I decide on the sceme early in the build do I can make the build around it. Tag me on an unlisted and I'll take a look.
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook ah k, i can honestly say that i didnt even know of the existance of that till you linked it, for some reason i dont know a lot of the russian stuff.
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook no idea really as the fuselage and wing are based on the Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster with the cockpit based on a Jet Provost and the fins based on a B24 =)
What do you deem to be underperforming on it? I originally had it accelerating faster and having a much higher top speed but on reflection this wasnt accurate to what i was trying to replicate. Or have i completely missed the point =)
@Hardy1 its just a mix of thrust lines, centre of lift and centre of mass imbalance etc. So if the engines are below centre of lift they will cause a pitch up, same if they are above they will cause a pitch down. have a look through this PS im no expert, i just dabble with bits and have a general idea of what causes what
@BucketBucketTheCan sorry im only doing certain challenges at present, you might want to look at challenges like mahadis where it details how it will be marked etc.
@BurkeAircraft1 that doesnt really work, the early fighters where silver or white (anti flash) due to their role but this altered significantly with better SAMs, aircraft of that era onwards carried camo on the top so they were hidden either on or close to the ground before popping up to intercept or bomb, hence the camo colours.
@FeatherWing thanks. Yes and no to your question, I always like the idea if a swing wing lightning but the sea lightning with the side intakes and extended fin was just ugly so I made my own (hopefully prettier) version.
@WiiMini A year of experimenting... yeah there area couple nearly done that im aiming to get finished soon, i also have 3 not on here in my unlisted posts ready to go. I need a new hobby (or go back to an old one to be precise) lol.
@edensk thanks, I will give it a go with those funky trees, I didn't know that was possible (funkytrees are gibberish to me). The fuel was intentional, the lightning was notoriously fuel hungry, I read somewhere that the ventral tank was emptied just after takeoff. I agree with the drag, its mostly on the nose intake, I was worried it was going too quick at altitude hence increased drag, but I see your point about lower drag and power. Thanks again for your comments, it's nice to get feedback to improve in the future.
@EternalDarkness Shhh... no one noticed:) its actually an su22 inner section of wing but I can't even tell the difference between the 17 and 22 so I will let you off.
@X4JB yeah I do the same but when its bearing completion I have everything nudged back in to check movement and add the actual flight stuff and thats when the problems start occurring.
@BagelPlane same, anything that moves really, its getting to the point where I spend as much time fixing things as I fo building, really annoying and off-putting.
@PxVector fix HERE For no apparent reason it had attached the gun to a missile front (second panel), no way was this me or intentional, i manually attached it to the fuselage (which had the connection then removed), game is really starting to wear on me with these things...
@MAHADI Glad you delayed the deadline, i forgot all about this, got a couple of things im working on and hopefully should have one finished soon for this.
@ChiChiWerx thanks but I can't take credit for that, someone a long time ago (so long I've forgotten who, it was before masters moved to discord) gave me a 2x2 panelled cylinder, I just use that as the basis and scale or alter to suit.
@AzureCorp you got me thinking, i kinda have already done what you suggested here and i also did a sort of early jet type as well here not to mention a vietnam style twin boom here so i kinda think i have done this to death for now =)
@AzureCorp yeah I intentionally made them large as I was trying to make the rest look smaller in comparison (imagine the engines are wasp double radials like on the p47, the fuselage only needs to be big enough to fit the pilot hence its much smaller). The wyvern and p38 are not similar in any way lol, I might do a not quite a wyvern though.
@Tang0five thanks, good to hear from you again. Its been a while since either of us posted anything, I have been struggling for motivation to finish anything, I do the interesting bits (new shapes, mechanisms etc) and then just can't be bothered to do the finishing stuff... glad your back though, thought we had lost you for a while there
Definitely going down, I've had loads of builds of late struggle to get 20 upvotes (thanks though to the people who did upvote)
+1Hello, is it me your looking for?
You are using imgur and you haven't removed the s from https ?

+1@edensk Awesome, and i get to be number 100 to upvote =)
@mikoyanster how are you getting on with judging these? Been a while since the deadline thats all.
+6@Hedero ah, thanks :) I definitely interpreted that wrong.
What do you deem to be underperforming on it? I originally had it accelerating faster and having a much higher top speed but on reflection this wasnt accurate to what i was trying to replicate. Or have i completely missed the point =)
+1@Fliegerkerlchen fixed, sorry I had intended to switch the rocket jettison to AG6 but in the end left it on AG2... oops.
@Hardy1 its just a mix of thrust lines, centre of lift and centre of mass imbalance etc. So if the engines are below centre of lift they will cause a pitch up, same if they are above they will cause a pitch down. have a look through this PS im no expert, i just dabble with bits and have a general idea of what causes what
@Hardy1 I don't know what you mean, are u retracting flaps and using trim?
@BucketBucketTheCan sorry im only doing certain challenges at present, you might want to look at challenges like mahadis where it details how it will be marked etc.

@NexusGaming Im not giving them away lol, i am just showing what i have to finish off, you will ahve to wait till they are done to alter them.
@JaeBeansS bendy roundels and loads of detailing bits etc :)

+2I got caught out by a name change on a challenge, really annoying addition in my eyes, just pick a name and stick with it...
+8Link to results here just incase anyone else was waiting to see what happened :p
Looks tidy, reminds me a bit of my pusher engine bomber here
+1@PxVector fix HERE For no apparent reason it had attached the gun to a missile front (second panel), no way was this me or intentional, i manually attached it to the fuselage (which had the connection then removed), game is really starting to wear on me with these things...
@PxVector No, it never did that in all the testing i did, how has it got attached to a missile??? Its nowhere near them...
I think its just flat with no edges, I flew at thousands of knts in a single direction and just saw sea.
@MAHADI Glad you delayed the deadline, i forgot all about this, got a couple of things im working on and hopefully should have one finished soon for this.
@fishstyx cool, I didn't know that, thanks.
Steering wheels on the wrong side :) barring that looks good.
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook dont know if your interested but i saw this and thought of you =) Should be a nice modification to your build.
@Droidy247 I might, i did want to revisit that one but i never intended for the wings to fold etc. so might be a big job.
James planes made some but don't know if they are mobile friendly.
+1@ChiChiWerx thanks but I can't take credit for that, someone a long time ago (so long I've forgotten who, it was before masters moved to discord) gave me a 2x2 panelled cylinder, I just use that as the basis and scale or alter to suit.
@AzureCorp lol like this or this
@AzureCorp thanks :)
@AzureCorp you got me thinking, i kinda have already done what you suggested here and i also did a sort of early jet type as well here not to mention a vietnam style twin boom here so i kinda think i have done this to death for now =)
@Subnerdica its a cross between a grumman bearcat and a Bristol beaufighter.
@AzureCorp ah now that makes much more sense lol. I made a kit of the whirlwind last Christmas so that's apt really.
@AzureCorp what do you mean by wyvern then? I thought you meant the westland wyvern which was a single engine turboprop carrierbourne fighter?
@AzureCorp yeah I intentionally made them large as I was trying to make the rest look smaller in comparison (imagine the engines are wasp double radials like on the p47, the fuselage only needs to be big enough to fit the pilot hence its much smaller). The wyvern and p38 are not similar in any way lol, I might do a not quite a wyvern though.
Stop them bending around the hub when under load. Stop them juddering randomly.
+11@ThomasRoderick yeah it was getting that way so I stopped adding :) plus once I get over 1200 the game seems to lag a bit (not a pc issue for sure)
+1@Tang0five thanks, good to hear from you again. @KnightOfRen sitting on the drawing board awaiting some motivation and time along with half a dozen other 90% finished builds.
@Sovietstrike333 Thanks, how did you find this after so much time?
+1@BusterShortWolf Its an autogyro mixed with a WW1 fighter =) fun isnt it.
+1@Blue0Bull thanks for the detailed review, I'd forgotten all about this, glad you liked it.
