  • Lavochkin La-9 2.6 years ago

@Deepdark i have added the default wings already. This is the version with default wings. they are just shrunk to zero so you can't see them.

also, this aircraft was made using a blueprint - its fairly well accurate I think. Assuming you mean the flight model is bad, it was known to have a low roll rate, and it will obviously be terrible at low speeds.

@Kangy thanks for feedback, I think I did it for a mix of building convenience and inexperience with the new cockpits but I'll leave them up in future

my guy, build stuff primarily for yourself and share with others as a secondary thought. Only build to satisfy you or stress will come fast

  • How do I shoot bombs faster? 2.6 years ago

in overload, under the Bomb tab, you can add a variable called firingDelay, which can be given a value in seconds. for spamming, try 0.1

  • PILATUS PC-12 2.6 years ago

@WaitBreadIsntAfruit kinda. Him and about 4/5 friends bought one collectively, and they all fly it, both as a group and solo as they all hold the license to it. My uncle can't anymore because he has parkinsons but still helps pay for maintenance costs and the like, and his friends still take him up in it

  • G.91 R3 2.7 years ago

@Kangy I mean it's by far the best flight model I've done so far, but there are a few issues with it so I should be able to fix those for next time. There are a few bizarre issues, like a huge twr despite mostly accurate thrust and weight, so it has way better climb than the original, but imo it's one of my better flight models lmao

    Thanks for the praise!

@jamesPLANESii yes, and even with panelling the exterior and interior combined is only about 200k triangles.

    +1
  • I have something to ask 2.9 years ago

    well
f1 car has about 1 million parts.
to model an f1 car exterior is about 150,000 parts.
to model interior is about 500,000 parts (modelling everything)
to program an f1 car is somewhere around 6 million lines of code - approaching 20 million and tending to impossibility with simpleplanes. Done multiple times.

but its almost guaranteed to work.
    arduous yes, but simple no

  • Sukhoi T-10-1 Flanker-A 3.5 years ago

@Krmo top speed is tuned to about 35000ft, g pull is relatively accurate as to the maximum airframe stress (usually 1.5x the rated maximum set by the manufacturer)
code i used for control surfaces was this: clamp([control input],(-1)+(IAS/[just over max speed in m/s]),1-(IAS/[just over max speed in m/s])), which limits control rotation as speed increases, acting as an extremely rudimentary control lock or g limiter. on the rear I stacked it up a few times making some looooong codes, but you can use this if you like :)

  • Sukhoi T-10-1 Flanker-A 3.5 years ago

@Krmo yah i couldn't quite get the drag down as low as I wanted it, so it's too fast at sea level and accelerates slightly too quickly with afterburner, but other than that it's actually pretty realistic

Ah sh-t, here we go again

This might also be bordering on a number of rule breaks too (specifically, abusing the voting system - some might say this is begging for upvotes)
Also, I don't think inciting drama is specifically against the rules but if it was this would probably break it
