Please, Please allow us to make custom outputs and inputs. We could use this part for so much more, including switches and knobs for many things. It would be really amazing. I have some ideas like flights modes, ILS holds, GPS Waypoints, Autopilots that you can use knobs and switches to turn on and adjust parameters, and so many more. It would help us to make things that would be unbelievable.
Imagine if you could say "when I turn this part, I want it to output a number of 0-359, and the output be called "AutoPilotHeading"". You could use that "AutoPilotHeading" input to make your ailerons turn the airplane via FT, thereby directly controlling the aircraft "systems" via cockpit controls.
Another example is GPS waypoints. I have some really cool ideas about planning GPS flights that an autopilot could follow, basically LNAV that could be controlled on the FMC. It would be crazy if we could do things like this, making our own waypoints and creating flight plans that our aircraft could follow. We would need custom outputs for this, since there aren't enough inputs for us to do this currently.
@WNP78 Yo it would be awesome if we could also cut top and bottom, with two sliders. It would make it possible to make side doors and stuff. (As well as picking which side of the fuselage we want to cut, like left side only)
@AndrewGarrison Hello, my question was about custom inputs. It would be really great if we could assign inputs to clickable buttons and levers, like making a button change the input of, for example, "Variable1". We could then use the "Variable1" to control rotators, lights, etc around the airplane. It just seems that we don't have enough inputs / activation groups for all the things around the airplane. That output could be assigned in the overload xml editor, maybe with a category called "output"
Just like in flight simulators, it would be amazing if we could name the switches and levers, so when you mouse over them, it displays what the switch/lever does. That name could be assigned in the overload xml editor, maybe with a category called "displayname" Example
Thank you again for bringing more updates to the game!
@Kennneth Yeah, thank God he actually saw it though! It looks like he's still interested in giving us the tools we need to make the best airplanes we can.
@GuianLorenzo It should be optimized to run on devices with lower power. However, it's not actually flyable so...
@ToxicAviationAviation Glad you can handle it!
@Thecatbaron Thank you very much, I believe the next piece will be just the nose with all the instruments ETC in it. That will be the final piece before release.
that the mirror function wrecks all the connections on detailed things. or example, when mirroring a detailed fuselage wing, the connections on the flaps and other parts are never in the right spot on the new side. It takes me up to an hour to fix all the connections manually.
You should probably contact Discord if you want to report it, they aren't doing anything against the rules of this site since they aren't on it, they're on Discord. How can they be "held accountable" here? Just wondering. @asteroidbook345
@EpicPigster1 Thank you so much! My goal is to have the title of the highest part count and most realistic airliner on all of SP. Highest part count is my M600 (I think, 3862), most realistic is probably FiguredFC's A350. My goal is to also get front page of all time in the airliner tag. ~Don't look at the FPS though~
@Sinacraft Well, if you'd like to have eyebrow windows, you can add them yourself. it'll be easy, just change a few of the top panels. It'll add a few more parts though.
@Omel How would I be able to do that? I've looked at a few other commercial aircraft on the site (including REW's 737) and it seems like when I try to use that method, it just doesn't look right.
@Timplanes of course! I've studied aviation for over a decade now and am a qualified pilot, so I felt qualified to answer. Your best bet is to look up stormy approaches and landings shot from the inside, these can help you figure out which panels do what (since not all aircraft have spoilers that all behave the same).
Hello there @Timplanes,
You do want the speedbrakes to add and subtract from roll. in the example case of 20 degrees up from brakes and max input roll, they might be 10 and 30 degrees extended respectively.
The total amount of deflection (L+R) stays the same to keep lift loss and drag relatively constant.
Also note that the maximum extension should not exceed 60 degrees at any time, so having full spoilers up on ground+ full roll would not cause any panel to exceed 60 degrees, only the opposite side to drop.
I suggest using a single modded speedbrake halfway out each wing, tucked into the wing body.
@WiniMii If anything, the 747 is a fake ATL-98.

+3@realSavageMan asked the question everyone's wondering

@GuianLorenzo Thank you!

+3I really like it, but the V2500 100% does not have the "flower" style reverser doors.
+3Very nice, you are very good at liveries!

I'd be interested to see you print a plane with 4000+ parts using a high-detail nozzle and an exceedingly long print time.
+3@DumbPlaneMaker I mean it might decrease it a little bit.... like if the 737-300 had max winglets...
+3@BassemT90 I built this on computer with 16GB ddr4, I don't think it will run for you.
+3@Sinnacraft Again, very good job! Don't forget the gear door funky trees!
+3@AustralianBoi He roasted you

@FinnDuanyu7373 You don't know how scared I am in WOT when I see one of these and I'm a Tier V...
+3@TheSavageManZ My goal is to get the 757 into here. I assume Jundroo can run 8k parts.

I see the checklist now.
+2Very good detail and the part count is not too bad! good job! I see you improving every time you make a new plane.
+2RIP
+2When you say 1055, you mean like 1000 years ago?
+2@ollielebananiaCFSP what is the new gen FT that you mentioned bro
+2@BoganBoganTheKid nope that's not it :)
+2@xNotDumb Nope
@BeastHunter He's not lying, I have proof and we sorta worked together on this concept.
I'm about to take IFR classes starting next month and it better not be this hard XD
+2@50CalChicken I think this is a feature in the SP extra mod (the cameras)

+2@MrShenanigansSP what does the orange download button mean?
+2@WinsWings fuselage cutting regular cylinders is the best way.
+2@Lazer22 There are free multiplayer servers running right now. It can't cost that much.
