I have no words, this is the MOST REALISISTIC Cessna 172 I'VE EVER SEEN. And this is SimplePlanes too, making it even more impressive. I tip my hat to you, good sir and everyone else who helped you :3
@EternalDarkness Just to say, I have re-uploaded my entry so it has 150 parts now. The only bad thing is that the re-upload isn't a successor to the challenge (I will try to fix that), but for now. here is the link to it: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/wTiJx7/Lightning-Aircraft-Industries-NJ-96
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes
I'm an outlier then. I've never once made a replica in my life and I can make decent fictional planes in my opinion.
I guess it helps my method involves taking design inspiration from a similar aircraft to what my idea looks like.
First off, that build quality is superb!
Secondly, the quality of the trailer is also really high. I especially like the clock ticking as that's such a good sound for 'build up' or creating tension in media.
I get what you're saying, but for one, different countries have different names systems, either similar or completely different to America.
And this really only works for American operated aircraft.
@Thelegitpilot13
I would take it that they aren't.
Given this is supposed to be about real replicas that went into service, the X-29 wouldn't cut it I would say.
On the 5th point, I get how temperatures were hot and might be bad for an early sidewinder, but's it's probably more the fact Air to Air missile tech was in its early stages, considering the sidewinder and sparrow were only introduced into service a couple years after the start of the war. Plus, there is a reason why fighters still have guns since the birth of dogfighting.
@GhostHTX
Looks pretty nice, but you need more in the ways of photos.
You especially need a better thumbnail as it just doesn't make the build stand out. The only thing that stands out to me in said thumbnail is the missiles because of the contrast. Improving these small things can go a long way.
@L3FTxR1GHT
For the 'Upload with screenshots', that's kind of already a thing. Saving a screenshot, then inserting it into the designer as a Blueprint will allow you to use that image when uploading.
Also, what would you want an option to have more changeable corners on fuselages for?
A very nice idea.
+2And a very good looking one too :3
@Random40
+2Yeah, the 'up' arrow on a comment is to upvote it
And if you need any more help, I could help you :3
@Mustang51
+2Same here XD

+2@PositivePlanes
+2I know that, what I mean is that every gun part on a build will all respond to the same command when told to
@AndrewGarrison
+2Would it maybe be possible to have the cannons function like guns, or at least similar to guns
@Noname918181
+2OH GOD, SABATON
(i have that song in my playlist ;3)
@Mustang51 @Noname918181
I took Noname918181's advice and managed to fix the elevator problem, I think...
But I want someone to do another test.
Just to see if it's just me or not, try and land on the aircraft carrier or a runway. Maintain 145 knots minimum
+2Ok thanks (also, great aircraft that you made) @randomusername

+2Well....shit..
+1@PUMPKINSIDD
+1Hi, the weapons on this craft, are they meant for Training purposes?
Out of curiosity, what is with the anchors over the roundels?
+1Looks oddly similar to the JH-7...
+1Are those seriously Water-cooled MG's...?

If it were me, I'd turn the halo off, get the picture, then add the halo in post-editing.
+1Man...SP Police are brutal..
+1Quite literally the MOAB.
+1Yeah...how do you land this...
+1Might give this a go. I have a good idea.
+1Yeah, it definitely looks like a Carrier, but it's the lack of visible escorts that puts me off the Carrier idea.
+1@LunarEclipseSP
+1Yas
[T]
+1How long have you been working on this thing now?
+1I don't have a PPL (CAA won't allow me to fly solo on my own, sad), but I have about 30 hours worth of flying at this time.

I'm going to try my hand at the Tornado F.3, since there is like, no decent ones on the site. Only a handful overall.

It worked for me when I flew inside and went straight up the the middle on the inside. and out through the top.
+1@Mondayhater
+1Not sure why you're apologizing...you don't need to.
And Ireland does use the same timezone as Britain.
What gun did you put on it, because that doesn't look like the 6 Pounder...
+1Jesus.....talk about detail.
+1I love how we sometimes get absolute gems of builds from some of the lowest ranked/newest accounts.
You've got some really good potential 👍
+1Sabaton a lot of the time.
+1@CanadianAircraftBuilder
+1Right....?
@Souplane
+1There is trim...
And are you able to describe the turret problem in more detail?
@beenz
+1Quicksand when I was really young and caught in a wave at a beach in Turkey.
@LonelyAustrianUhlan
+1(Just for a fact, I think Antonov was originally, when it was founded, a Soviet company, not a Ukraine one.)
@RamboJutter
+1Well Legna judged my entry, but only mine, so.....
@RamboJutter
+1Wdym?
@HistoryNerd007
+1It is pinned.
@rexzion
+1Well it functions like a Constant-Speed Prop.
Here: Read this
Holy S**t, so detailed!
+1@Spitfirelad05
+1Why not
@L3FTxR1GHT
+1Just make a hard edge fuselage block, rotate it and use fuselage cutting.
