Cheers! One thing about this bomb; deployment at full throttle can cause it to slow too much and not explode on impact. This is especially true of mid altitude deployment. Best to deactivate the launch AG, to deactivate the retarder brake and allow the bomb to get to terminal velocity. @Tang0five
I know. Just think; this was a product of the 1950s. The TSR-2 wuld have profoundly altered the balance of power in the European Theatre of the Cold War. The Soviets had nothing that could touch it. @RAF1
Nope, but the minutes of meeting for the committee session where the decision was taken on whether to use black or red electricians tape is a riveting read. @Tang0five
@Tang0five Very nice. Youve captured the wing dihedral perfectly. My DC-3 doesnt do that. Hidden jets are absolutely fine; Ive done the same more than once.
Thanks! @Tang0five
I have a French, American and German Schneider Trophy 40's style model built too, just working on the Italian and then I was going to release them, as it were.
I was thinking a Schneider Trophy challenge sort of thing might be a nice idea, too...
@BaconRoll For what its worth, my B-2 replica uses air brakes at the wing tips. You do get some authority over yaw, but without a vstab you do end up fishtailing a fair bit... This looks awesome, though!
Thanks! Yours is really good - just a wee bit off with the wing profile. I bet it flies without spontaneously jettisoning its wings, though? Mine tends to do that...@BaconRoll
@JettStorm Cheers!
I read your thread a while back about how to get more upvotes and was thinking; you shouldn't be building just for the upvotes. If you're building simply for attention from others, then you aren't going to be engaged enough in the subject material or in your modeling to really do something special.
Heck, I've put out things that have received zero upvotes, or one or two. It wasn't really an issue for me because I build stuff for me - the models I want to play around with and the features I want to have. I get as much satisfaction in building the bloody things and getting them to work properly as I do flying them around and blowing stuff up.
My advice would be to pick something that you are really enthusiastic about - if making replicas is your thing, pick a particular aeroplane, research it and really learn about it. If you just want to build something cool, try to add some advanced features and think of it like a special research project, for example, making a working VTOL aircraft, a helicopter, something with a working bomb bay, or working flaps, or even thrust vectoring, if you like the fiddly hingey rotatory things.
You have made some really nice models, and that is a good start - just keep building and trying new things.
I can't say much for mods like fine tuner, as I build on an iPhone, but if they help then great - try those out. But they are by no means a "must have" to build cool planes and I think people forget that sometimes.
Sorry - a bit of a rant, but I just wanted to give you the benefit of my experience so far.
Cheers @ChiChiWerx
I think this pretty much pushes my skills to their limit. Im not sure I can do better. Building in iOS is ok too, but I think 400 parts is really the limit. I lost count of how many times I crashed back to desktop...
Yeah, the Hawker Nimrod was a biplane. The BAE Nimrod was a later monoplane. Apparently Nimrod was a biblical character... @Skyfalcon
Thanks @Tang0five ! Yeah, the scrapping of the almost completed air frames has got to be one of the biggest eff ups in MoD history. Right up there with the TSR2.
@JoddyFubuki788 The FSX model of this is really good. I looked at it as reference material.
@JoddyFubuki788 Thanks!
This is meant to represent the last one - the MRA.4. At thedate of cancellation there were several nearly complete examples and one ready to deliver. I still remember the uproar in the UK when BAE were ordered by the MOD to break up and scrap the 90% complete air frames. Perfectly good aeroplanes broken up for scrap. What a waste!
There was actually an AWACS Nimrod - the Nimrod AEW.3.
It was ugly. Not in a good way. It was also an unmitigated failure and resulted in the MOD / RAF purchasing the Boeing E-3 Sentry... Wikipedia has a good page on it.
Please dont forget to mention that the Botha, originally designed for RAF Coastal Command as a maritime recon bomber, had very limited fields of vision for not only the pilot, but the navigator and the observers too... Oh, and the underpowered engines, the vicious spin and almost impossible recovery... And the tendancy to sink rapidly when ditched, a characteristic that was spot on for an aeroplane that would spend 99.9% of its operational life flying over water...
Im a big fan of your work and your subject material! Keep it up! Do something by Miles next!!
Dont mind if I do! Thanks. @BACconcordepilot
@epicness Many thanks.
With your upvote, the TSR-2 is now officially my most upvoted model.
Many thanks to all who have downloaded and enjoy her.

@Aarons123 wow - that was quick. Thanks.
I was thinking more Focke Wulf TA-152 @SweptBackWing14 Very nice model.
Nice. Funny too.
@Tang0five Very nice. Youve captured the wing dihedral perfectly. My DC-3 doesnt do that. Hidden jets are absolutely fine; Ive done the same more than once.
Thanks! @Tang0five that was sort of the plan. Im working on a navalised one too, but it is proving a bit difficult...
Great balls of fire! @ThatTotalRando
Very nice.
No, because then some malicious peoples could potentially rock up, create a profile and upload some code that is potentially malicious. In potentia.
Having this tied to the points system means that there is more control over who posts what. And thats a good thing, I think.
Thanks! @Tang0five

@Tang0five
So I appreciate your awesome model building and you appreciate that I appreciate it?
Everyones a winner, baby!
Cheers! @Tang0five
@RCBOSS @Treadmill103
Many thanks.
Cheers guys @Fishbowl1121 @phanps
@Tang0five Cheers!

@Tang0five Thanks. Just dont exceed 45 deg bank. The wings might fall off...
Wow! Quite the reaction. Many thanks to all.
@ChiChiWerx
Thanks matey! Appreciated!
@ChiChiWerx Do the Spooky conversion anyway; Im sure it would be awesome since the basis is so good?
@Kevinairlines Youre a good man.
Thanks! @ChiChiWerx I would say that mine has more parts... but yours is a way more accurate shape. I like it a lot!
Very nice!
Hey @Kevinairlines I had to delete this and re upload, and now it is no longer a sucessor, despite using the pit from your challenge F-4.
Can you accept this entry, pretty please?
Thanks! @Tang0five
You're doing things in iOS that I can't quite figure out. Respect.
@JettStorm Cheers!

"Excuse me, is that an Uzi?"
Love that film!

Many thanks!
@Tang0five Many thanks! Im now working on the mandatory "Thanks for making gold" release...
@jlewisifer Wow! Thanks! She took a while to built, yeah. Then another good while to balance and make usable.
You made a great challenge!
@Tang0five
Very cool.

At last. Someone got the joke... @Tang0five Thanks!!
I think we share a passion for post war British stuff. Bloody awesome job!
Im glad you enjoyed it! I really had fun building and testing her.
@Tang0five
Thanks. This is based on one of my first uploads. I wanted to revisit the model and see if I could improve it. I think it turned out ok?
Very very nice. @GINGER01
@jlewisifer Thanks! This was me building up to a Firefly, but I just dont think I have the resources, time or talent to do the Firefly justice.
@Treadmill103
@Ephwurd
Thanks guys.
