@BogdanX good call, I will do that in the future. Just annoying that the game spawns at such a height that it rotates backwards without it... (I didnt want cog any further forwards, I like trundling up the runway with the nose in the air :)
@ChiChiWerx now that is one of the most accurate statements I have had on a build, you could have added at the end something along the lines of, "then they bought the aircraft in from Boeing etc at an even higher cost, replacing home grown perfectly capable aircraft that now reside on a scrap pile".
@alvaroRO at high speed it fine, it's got typhoons flying top cover know anyway so you dont need as much evasion, its freed up the typhoon to do what it does best.
@edensk its getting closer, so now it works when stationary but as soon as i throttle up over 1kt it stops working? Is it easier if I link you the build?
@edensk thanks for that but it doesnt seem to work, is 0degrees horizontal and 25deg upwards from the horizon? (sorry if it isnt and its my bad causing the error). I want the slats on an aircraft to operate when its nose is higher than its trajectory.
@TakicraftCorporation I just thought that the posting of altered builds us to be expected and essentially permission in inferred by posting in the first place. I do agree that it's nice to ask though.
I thought the whole point of the game was for you to share your build? The game allows other people to alter it to suit their interests (but you get the credit for original build). Who cares if someone alters your build as long as they dont circumvent the credit system?
@FairFireFight there a void between the intake duct and cockpit, seat would be high for better visibility. No rudder as sp just makes it roll. Not flaws.
@Spikerya id never even heard of that plane... cant say that for many aircraft =) dont think ill be building one anytime soon though, thanks for the comment.
@Tang0five yeah, I just wanted to do something different, everything of the era seemed to have 8 303s or 4 20mm cannon, later life upgrades added more fire power so I thought why not over arm it to start with? I'm a bit fed up with sp at present so not building much, I thought this was a nice build hence posting.
@Tang0five well i went to the trouble of making 1 R2 unit, the ships big, 2 R2s make sense =) Probably increased the part count by 200 just by R2 units.
@Mustang51 thanks =) I enjoyed building this, opposite of making things as streamlined as possible lol. Pity it seems to be one of my lowest upvoted builds though....
@Shippy456 no its real, Russia wanted something that could skim the water to be below radar and fast enough / long ranged enough to get to Americas east coast. Google ekranoplan.
@asteroidbook345 it all depends on the plane, the big bomber I used as an example here only took another 30-40 mins because I knew I wanted camo therefore I designed the plane in a way that made the camo easier to apply.
@Hedero I normally have a vague concept, such as build something short and stumpy or a mix of different aircraft. Then i usually build the fuselage first to suit what i want, with everything else following on from there. On this i wanted to do the scheme (it used to be on a packet from a foam glider i used to get as a kid), so i wanted something with lots of flat surfaces instead of the usual round fus, it was from a starfighter so it made sense to be something similar and i wanted 2 engines in a lightning style configuration. The rest just followed on from there. The undercarriage was the hardest bit to fit on the airframe though as it has to not be wing mounted (pylons in the way) and avoid the air intakes.
@SnoWFLakE0s <InputController.State activationGroup="0" invert="false" min="-1" max="1" input="abs(min(Roll, Pitch) * 2 + 1)" /> yeah, a nice simple example.... when all most people need for an all flying tail is Input= clamp(Pitch + Roll , -1, 1)
@SnoWFLakE0s hmmm, funny when i asked the same question of someone else i got the answer i was after... as i stated the guide omitted the basic example showing how it all comes together, that was all i was after.... Dont forget some of us didnt do this at school or in the time since school so what you take for granted is like a foreign language to me.
@SnoWFLakE0s thanks for the reply, I only have experience of XML via Overload editing i.e. changing simple things like input or degree of rotation etc. All i was after was the basic structure of the input formulation i.e. Input= clamp(Pitch + Roll , -1, 1) with the spaces in the right place etc so I can see how it works, Fairfirefight gave me the info i needed so now i have basic formula that i can edit to suit what i want to happen.
@WarHawk95 didnt know it even existed, I liked the mystere and wanted a swingy wingy :) just made it all up.
@BogdanX good call, I will do that in the future. Just annoying that the game spawns at such a height that it rotates backwards without it... (I didnt want cog any further forwards, I like trundling up the runway with the nose in the air :)
Undecided competitions... loads of time wasted building for a contest the the creator cant be bothered to judge...
+6@ChiChiWerx now that is one of the most accurate statements I have had on a build, you could have added at the end something along the lines of, "then they bought the aircraft in from Boeing etc at an even higher cost, replacing home grown perfectly capable aircraft that now reside on a scrap pile".
+1@alvaroRO at high speed it fine, it's got typhoons flying top cover know anyway so you dont need as much evasion, its freed up the typhoon to do what it does best.
@edensk finally posted it, thanks for your help.
+1@JolyLoly ah k :) I left all the bits separate colours so you can see how it's done.
@JolyLoly ?
@jamesPLANESii no, that didnt work, thanks for trying though. Edensk worked it out for me (see below)
just incase anyone needs it, the input code is: clamp01(TAS - 5) * AngleOfAttack/10
+2Big thanks goes to edensk who worked this out for me.
@JolyLoly try this
@edensk its getting closer, so now it works when stationary but as soon as i throttle up over 1kt it stops working? Is it easier if I link you the build?

+9@Tang0five looks awesome, I'm sure I had a Lego one of these when I was a child. That vtol looked so smooth and balanced.
@Tang0five @Mustang51 @Trainzo thanks again for the votes and comments.
@FranzPeterSiegfried mby but I'm getting more and more fed up with the game. Plenty of ideas/inspiration still.
+1@FairFireFight there a void between the intake duct and cockpit, seat would be high for better visibility. No rudder as sp just makes it roll. Not flaws.
@Datom no worries, looks good for 160parts :)
@ssenmodnar I had a look at it. It needs a full rebuild to get the right shape at control surface position so it's a bit too much work at present.
@Spikerya id never even heard of that plane... cant say that for many aircraft =) dont think ill be building one anytime soon though, thanks for the comment.
+1@GeneralPatrick2 forward is subjective.
+1@Tang0five yeah, I just wanted to do something different, everything of the era seemed to have 8 303s or 4 20mm cannon, later life upgrades added more fire power so I thought why not over arm it to start with? @TheFantasticTyphoon Thanks, glad im inspiring someone.
@Arboc55 :) I was thinking of arming it myself
@asteroidbook345 ok will have a look later.
@asteroidbook345 yeah sure, tag away.
@Tang0five well i went to the trouble of making 1 R2 unit, the ships big, 2 R2s make sense =) Probably increased the part count by 200 just by R2 units.
@TitanIncorporated good sit down or bad sit down?
@thefalkenreich thanks for the comment and upvote.
@edensk @ThePilotDude @Wi1dSk7 thanks guys, glad you liked it.
+1@Mustang51 thanks =) I enjoyed building this, opposite of making things as streamlined as possible lol. Pity it seems to be one of my lowest upvoted builds though....
+1@DimitriIqbal91 have a look at the rotators, I used V<300 or something like that on them.
@ssenmodnar wont happen as I'm black, once you leave yellow behind you lose the ability to be featured
@SovietBun what do you need?
@Shippy456 no its real, Russia wanted something that could skim the water to be below radar and fast enough / long ranged enough to get to Americas east coast. Google ekranoplan.
+2@Shippy456 itsit's not really a plane, more like a supersized hovercraft. It uses ground effect to lift out of the water.
+1@ssenmodnar Done at last =)
Lol. I wonder who this is really...
@Vidal99977 what minecraftsaid, and chill.
@asteroidbook345 it all depends on the plane, the big bomber I used as an example here only took another 30-40 mins because I knew I wanted camo therefore I designed the plane in a way that made the camo easier to apply.
@Mustang51 thanks :) you must be sick of the "it looks like you are up voting too much" message.
this for sure
+1@ssenmodnar i might, see how i feel when i get to the weekend =)

@tressa1 nope, its fictional.
