@DPSAircraftManufacturer thank you! The MK3 version is about two times faster.

I'm pretty sure this kind of gearbox (overdrive I think?) won't work good enough for a couple reasons. I didn't have time to properly try it though. You can try it yourself if you want to.
Nice tutorial, but there's one thing that should be avoided when making gears: don't use round fuselage blocks as a base of the gear. The thing is, it appears round, but its collision box is still square and therefore will interfere with other gears
@SnoWFLakE0s I'm not really sure I understood you correctly, but thank for your words and for the upvote! It always amazes me how some pretty crappy builds get more upvotes than really clever ones (I'm not talking about myself here, but in general). And you know what, sometimes perfect is the enemy of good.
It's a shame I haven't discovered your profile earlier, because your builds are awesome and I'm gonna give you some upvotes!
This is neat! You could potentially build a slow flyer like this one. It will involve som xml editing though to make it very lightweight. Here I made a rough sketch. I removed any excessive parts and edited most of them to have 0.1 or 0 mass scale. You can reupload it as yours if you want to :)
@Hyattorama what I personally like about building on smartphone is that you can zoom as much as you like, this is something I really miss when using PC. But in general I feel more confident with the mouse. I just usually stick to the phone because I use laptop mostly for work and it often is busy running a bunch of programs which leave not much resource for SP. And I have a cheap but pretty good joystick for flights - I hate flying with on-screen controls to be honest :)
@Hyattorama you're welcome! :). I also build all the models on the smartphone, but it barely handles things like this, so I use my laptop for testing. Hope I will have some time on the weekend to play and do some experiments. And thank you once again for the appreciation!
@Hyattorama thank you so much for the upvote and spotlight! Sorry, I'm a little busy with work right now so I might be slow to reply :). This is more a model than a real vehicle so I didn't want to use jet engines and such, and I wasn't really concerned with speed.
.
The problem may be the spin speed limit that is present in the game. Please try this mod and let me know if it works because I have some plans too :)
.
As for posting publicly, just do as you wish :) I'm not concerned with the points, and I think it isn't really your typical build so I will totally inderstand if it will be unlisted. Just share the link with me please! Oh, and btw, your planes are so cool!
@Chancey21 The direction is already preset by slight turn of the rotor, and usually it is enough. The problem occurs when the start location is custom and the vehicle is not fully horizontal or even moving - then the rotor might decline. Additional weight might help! And I think I know one more situation where it may help :). So thank you for the idea! And for the upvote of course! Much appreciated :)
@Irobert55 I think you're judging too harshly. The author never said it was the most accurate replica. Though I agree that it could be way better. Deserves an upvote nevertheless.
@zap210 yep, I kinda came back to the game, not sure for how long though :). And yes, there were no gyroscopes back then, so I had to experiment with weight offset. Not very successfully :). The build is freakin' awesome!
@DPSAircraftManufacturer thank you for your upvotes! :)

+1I really like the fact that it is rotated by the gears. It is so unnecessary complication but it's what gives the build so much charm!

@Hyattorama maybe interface size has something to do with this? Have you tried changing it?
