Moderator here. @WNP78 is 100% right. Builds cannot contain any malvare. Mods are not checked by the staff, and, as the in-game disclaimer says, Jundroo is not responsible for damage done by mods. We haven't had any malicious mods here, though. All currently available ones are safe.
It's not worth it. Live for the good times, not for iffy times between them.
One thing that might help is keeping a diary of good things. Don't be lazy to write in it. If you hear a nice song, write it down. Had fun with friends? Write it down. Had a nice conversation with someone, write it down. It helps to remind you that good times aren't as rare as you think.
A good thing to do would also be to go out with some friends, have a coffee, maybe beer,...
Trust me, I've been there. It gets better.
@jimmyje it has been said a number of times that SPVR won't support building, but only using the builds. Thus, all of the parts and features are coming to SimplePlanes as update 1.11, so that they can be used on the future builds.
I advise against going so far with this. Thank you for being on my side, but there's really no battle to wage here. Jundroo doesn't want my assistance in an official manner, and they won't have it. I was helping the community before I was a mod, and I will continue to do so regardless of the red tag.
@CharlesDeGaulle2 F104Deathtrap wanted to block you, but you were quicker. You may not have known that at the time of making your comment, so I will not enforce the rule about bypassing the block. From now on, I will consider the block to be mutual, and the rule about bypassing the block will be in power, so please do not try to contact F104 again on the site. If you have no other purpose for this alt, I'd like to ask you to delete it.
Amazing build. I see you have paid quite a bit of attention to part efficiency, everything on it is functional, performance are quite good except for max speed. I really like how you did the turrets. I might steal the input next time I make a boat.
Why would I? Custom airfoils are one of the features that separate low quality builds from medium and high quality ones. Not including them would mean posting a fice minute build, which I won't do.
@Kerbango I've made a somewhat broader tag "Toy", as a tag only covering one brand would be far too specific. It is now your duty to let people know about this tag :)
This is a very nice vehicle. However, there's room for a few simple improvements:
- You can use a magnet to lock the turret for transit.
- You can edit maxAngularVelocity property of wheels to limit the speed.
- You can edit brakeTorque property of wheels to reduce the braking power.
- You can set beacon input to "Brake" to have working brake lights.
You don't have the idea how much time and patience it takes to pull off a good challenge. A bit of searching to see if someone already made such challenge, few hours to write it, including rules, rewards, examples, etc., and days to judge if it is popular. You also have to force yourself to judge without bias, even though some entries are made by your friends and some by guys you find annoying. And if you want it to be really good, you have to give thorough feedback for every build along with a score.
@typicalaggers there's a coded limit of how many planes can be posted per account per 24h, so that rule is impossible to break. AS for spam, this is a plane community. Posting planes is expected. Posting a same build multiple times is considered spam. And you have to do a lot more than to break those two rules to get banned. So relax, get to know people, learn from others how to improve your own builds, and enjoy.
@AndrewGarrison I understand that. I'll be sure to report any problems I find, so you can log them for when you are free and in the right mood to fix them. As for the fix, it no longer says how many seconds ago a comment was posted. That's an interesting approach to fixing that problem :)
Former moderator here.
Being a moderator sort of kills the pleasure of the game and the community, as you are forced to interact with its least bright elements. Not to mention that moderators are often people who have been in this community for years already, and are somewhat tired of it. So yeah, most of their comments will be stock comments.
As for moderators wasting hours of their time, I don't think they do. Back in my day, we did, but now I'm seeing serious offenses and dramas being ignored for days, so I'd say there's not a lot of time being spent on it.
Either way, they are spending their spare time, unpaid, to try to keep this site somewhat clean. Just say "thanks" and quit whining.
A pair of these flew over my house yesterday. They flew soo low my windows are till rattling!
It's a beautiful aircraft, and you have made a very good model of it. Good job.
@CharlesDeGaulle will you stop this? You're spreading drama all over the site. People don't like your favorite plane, you don't like theirs, and that's that.
It looks very nice. A few more segments on the nose wouldn't hurt, but it's a genuinely good build. Maybe a few more struts supporting the edges of the runway too.
@ThePilotDude I can name at least a dozen flags that stand for darkest moments in the history of my nation. We're not here to discuss politics and morality of the Confederation.
You are, I believe, the first to make this build fly. Originally, it was meant to look something like this though with a different paint job and custom landing gear, but I gave up on it in favor of a bigger project and used it as an example. And example which, mind you, introduced hundreds to the way of building custom control surfaces. Good job.
Why would anyone tank anyone for upvotes? You give an upvote as a "thank you" for a nice build you get to play with. "Thank you for liking the thing I've made" sounds a bit ridiculous, doesn't it?
Pretty well done, but it could have been better. Performance-wise, drag could be a bit higher to allow better deceleration. Look-wise, I would advise using this technique for wings. It's a simple technique, and it's nowhere near perfect, but it gives far better airfoil than what you have. Other than that, this is a very nice build. Quite pleasurable to use.
@Prolex917 I don't have the ability to implement new features to the site. It's not necessary either. If a user decides to bring porn to a gaming site, they should know what to expect, a ban.
Progress requires work. You need to develop your technique. People expect a lot more from a user with 17k points than from one with 3k. On the other hand, rank doesn't matter for socialising, and you shouldn't feel pressured to post better builds.
Believe me, you don't want to bring RP back to the site. You moved it off the site to avoid getting banned for frequent heated arguments, and bringing it back here resurrects that danger. Wouldn't it be better to just make a new server and run it better?
I suggest having a moderating and administrative crew that is not a part of any faction for the sake of fairness, as well as strict rules. That way, RP might actually work.
Not bad, but a bit underdetailed. A simple red star would have, in my opinion, made this build a lot better. It wouldn't make it look less clean, it wouldn't affect performance if edited to have no drag and no mass, and it would look great. Nice performance though.
Now that was unexpected. Dunno how it will fare against other entries, but 10/10 for creativity.
+9Cars are probably meant to be AI thingies in the city. Like convoys and ships.

+9@AndrewGarrison I know it has been there for a long time. But it's now much better presented.

Can it run on Samsung smart washing machine?

+8You still don't build fighters. That's an interceptor.
+8@Pienas first one simply states what moderators are supposed to do.

+8I must also say I'm very happy to see this update. I can't imagine what modders will do with all the new stuff newer version of Unity offers.
+8@RailfanEthan this post is a bit spammy, but not enough to be against rules.

+8Nice. I used to post a screenshot of a custom missile being made whenever someone asked for it. Now I can just link this post :)

This should have been a forum post. Builds are for when you actually build something. This isn't worth fifteen points per upvote.
+7A pair of these flew over my house yesterday. They flew soo low my windows are till rattling!
+7It's a beautiful aircraft, and you have made a very good model of it. Good job.
@WiiMini mentioning your server when context calls for it was always allowed. Quit bugging the new guy.
+7You should give it some description. The build looks quite interesting.
+7Technically, it's not a bull either. You weren't spending a moment working on the alternate set of ventrally mounted equipment.
+7@CharlesDeGaulle will you stop this? You're spreading drama all over the site. People don't like your favorite plane, you don't like theirs, and that's that.

+7@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook I added it myself XD
