Greetings! I deduce that machine is supposed to be something like enlarged and upgraded Su-24 but with variable sweep wings replaced by fixed delta ones, and canted twin tails instead of a single big rudder... If i'll take this, i'll probably remake it.
@Guyfolk for his funky trees and some other parts.
@PlanariaLab for the HUD
@SARACONIKaviationIndustry for the PFD
@BricePianist for initial inspiration
@TarikGR for allowing it to participate and accepting delay requests
Greetings! If you accumulate the known specifications of this missile, then here you go: scroll-search for TX-481 model which is the engine of this missile
This old missile can go supersonic only because it's mostly launched from a fixed wing jet aircraft. When launched from a hovering helicopter at low altitude, it goes subsonic. I'll give you a link to a Maverick missile with realistic speeds and thrust... Here it is, I modified it.
Amazing MiG! My only petty complaint is that it's a bit too heavy, it's take-off weight is around 7100kg, while empty weight is 4871kg, according to Airwar.ru
Greetings! What are the desired characteristics for an entry? Realism, appearance, ease of operation, destructive power, part efficiency, wholesomeness? For example, how will you judge if someone makes a replica of a cruise missile that is accurate by size'n'weight and range, but is very hard to use from an aircraft that are too small and lightweight because of being just as heavy as it's IRL counterpart is?
I am asking because of having multiple samples of custom guided weaponry in my subassemblies.
@Phoebe Sorry, but definitely not those. That one was more like a vehicle-mounted CIWS with a single 4-5 barrel rottary cannon, while those you proposed here are heavy tanks armed with multiple 6-barrel gatlings.
American F-86 pilot: I seen a damned Mig-15 with variable sweep wing and canards, it scared me!
American psychologist: variable sweep and canard Mig-15 does not exist, it can't hurt you!
Variable Sweep and Canard Mig-15:
Greetings mr. Tarpley! All my cannons somehow lost their target reticles.
I remember that the "cannon" part had it's own collimator-styled round reticle when in game, but now it doesn't. Is that a bug? CLICK TO THE FORUM POST WITH SCREENSHOTS
@PhilipTarpley
Awesome machine. The soviet armored brute with whole load of ordnance. I gonna check it out when I'll reach to my laptop.
P. S. Sorry, but you have a wrong translation from russian. The "front view" is "вид спереди", "rear view" is "вид сзади". Before writing something on russian, you better find'n'ask a russian-speaker, preferably a native one.
Greetings! I have a question about controlling of it. How do I accelerate this helicopter to the stable forward speed of 250-300 km/h? I tried but failed at doing more than 140-150 km/h. Is there a way of doing so without changing construction?
@ThomasRoderick Dat was a faulty maintenance - i completely lost all my planes and non-plane vehicles along with a game itself... recovery programs didn't found them. One more reason for me to hate this world. I reinstalled the things and started the game from scratch again.
Greetings! Sorry for a possibly dumb question, but how do i find out the launching sequence of bombs, if i have multiple of them on my aircraft? It is necessary for unfolding the fins of bombs, since inputs of those rotators are linked to the ammo count. Also, i strongly suggest to increase the massscale of a missile to 1.5 to give it proper accuracy, and explosionscale of it should be approximately 2.5-3. MaxHeadingAngleAdjustmentRate better to be decreased to 100 from your 1000. And it will be good to increase the massscale of that straight-angled hollow fuselage to a number of 15-20, since with massscale of 1 it weights nothing. Thus, the weight of bomb will be cloalser to IRL.
Greetings! Is it possible to make both limiters work simultaneously and with equal authority?
I mean, i'd like to see an AoA limiter that starts working at TAS/IAS of 2-5(Because at zero speed AoA is defined randomly), or/and may be de/activated through AG, while the G-limiter is constantly engaged. I'll post my test-bed aircraft in unlisted for testing it and tag you, if you answer positively.
Nice aircraft, but take-off and stall speeds are too high for a "bush plane", they're approximately at 50-60 knots. A real bush planes have those speeds at 25-35 knots. So here i found and brought some examples of really low stall speed and true take-off-and-land-everywhere capability

What if i'll try to change the construction of this aircraft to make a realistic weight numbers(22 metric tons empty, 35-40 tons gross, 45 tons MTOW) without compromising its flying characteristics? Will i face any serious challenges while doing so?
Hmmm, i guess it isn't mirror friendly because of rotating ends of wing rotators being attached to the higher and smaller end of detacher?
Edit: Yep, i guessed it right. I met the same problem: the mirror tool doesn't want to recognize this kind of connection at all.
@Bernkastel So maybe you should consider to make an initially heavy-weight VTOL fighter-bomber of 35-45 metric ton MTOW, like hybrid of Yak-141 and Su-24/FB-111? Imagine it carrying 25-30 OFAB-100-120 bombs, along with two pairs of Kh-29/Kh-38 missiles...
Is there any restrictions on payload weight? Is it permitted to slap multiple bombs/missiles on a single hardpoint, like there?https://www.defenseworld.net/uploads//news/big/brimstone_1522227623.jpg
https://bulgarianmilitary.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Hermes-missile-system-destroys-tanks-at-a-distance-of-up-to-100-km-the-Russians-claim.jpg
And does it still counts as a single hardpoint out of 11 available? What if instead of 30mm, I'll use the more precise estimation, namely the 30.48mm, which is exactly 1.2 inch?
Greetings! Would you please explain the PC specifications required to run it with FPS of 30-60?
+1Greetings! What site do you use for storing pictures? I can only see an empty frames with "dead end" on them. Maybe try PostImg?
+1Esto es muy fuera de regla, amigo esto no es una broma. (Reverso Context)
+1@tarikGR So, did you judged the results already? If no, then I suggest an updated version.
+1@Bryan5 Feels sad man...
+1@tarikGR Thanks! I'll add the loadouts with those paveway-V guided bombs and that one with JASSMs when reach to my laptop again...

Hello fellow JASSM maker!
+1Is that an unmanned replacement for Tu-95?

+1I seriously think it can serve as a better and rightful replacement for the default tutorial plane.

+1@ThomasRoderick Dat was a faulty maintenance - i completely lost all my planes and non-plane vehicles along with a game itself... recovery programs didn't found them. One more reason for me to hate this world. I reinstalled the things and started the game from scratch again.
+1That's a very good replica of F-4 Phantom.
+1@Korsamnang Yep, i've deleted the second one.

Being inspired by this, i am thinking about landing gear for uneven and unprepared runways...
+1I feel like it should've been one of the default aircraft.
+1Ha-ha, Phantomcat!

@NotSoNormalPioneer ...because it knows where it isn't. It's like a motto of those who shares good feelings towards missiles.

Judginng by the size, it looks like Rolls-royce's Ultrafan.
+1Hmmm, more like the lovechild of A-10 and Su-25, because of single vertical stabiliser and twin autocannons.(Su-25 has a Gast system autocannon)
