I quite like the rafale, I have seen them fly at a few airshows and it's quite impressive to watch. As for loadout, I've seen some photos where you literally couldn't fit another pylon under the wing, it's loaded with quite an arsenal here for example
@PoinX25tlessWhyShouldI @AN2Felllla ah k, I couldn't even remember who hosted it to check for a forum post. Daft idea to delete the actual challenge though.
Builds are stored locally on the device, not sure how ipads store stuff (I had an iPhone once and hated all the restrictions apple has) but on pc the builds are in a folder that you can just copy to a new device.
@Tang0five yep, if your not careful this thing ploughs furroughs in the ground as well :) or it did when I first made it before ironing out some "quirks"
@Skykid028 you can save one by combining pitch and roll (Pitch + Roll) if they move the same amount. (Pitch + -Roll) for the other side. Don't worry about the mention.
I'm no funky trees person so I use 2 rotators stacked, one is -1 on input and v<10 so when you load it points down and it levels when you reach 10knts.
@WarHawk95 Thanks for the catch, its an easy mistake as they are both called Geoffrey de Havilland.... I didnt realise it was two seperate people until your message.
@WholeLottaBread slow? It does over 500mph in level flight which is easily comparable with aircraft of the era plus it handles smoothly without being too maneuverable or too sluggish. I'm wondering if your comparable slow brick is too fast :)
@Tang0five thanks. The concept was an aircraft fitting between the sea venom and aircraft like the scimitar, sea vixen etc. Hence no reheat and no missiles but a future version may be adapted for both :) I actually might clips the wings quite a bit as well as it looked awesome when I was making the fold mechanism. It's funny for me, I can create a basic aircraft shape with flight model in a couple of hours, it's things like undercarriage doors and bendy roundels that take all the time (along with unsticking moving parts...) I seem to have figured out the proportion of wings needed with cog etc, mby its due to my hundreds if builds :)
@MajorSix it's exactly what was shown on the 3view drawing of the blackburn firecrest, it seems in proportion, if anything the main wing us too fat. Thanks though.
@Hedero thanks =) I do have to admit that i did use quite a few of my template parts though, but in this instance i also pretty much rebuilt them as i went, so they are both pre-made and not pre-made lol. I do try to use new parts on all my builds but sometimes a pre-made bit just fits nicely. For instance my next build has a completely new build fuselage, tail, fin but the wing and engines are from my stock pile but again i have rebuilt wingtips, engine nacelles etc. so not just plug and play.
@Random04 just add a couple of small bits to either side of the rotator with 1 mass on them. The bits connected to rotator and the bit you want to rotate obviously.
@PapaKernels yeah the layout is P47 when you look at the top view but the gull wing part always gets accredited to the corsair even though there where a fair few other gull wing aircraft.
@Tang0five Lol, i did tend to build more than one kit at once, I also was quite intrigued by swapping pieces about but i never actually glued them together. Kit bashing just took too much skill for me, i did get some inspiration from here from time to time.
Im glad to see you are still around as well, its been a while since i have seen one of your creations pop up on my lists. I may very well do some further WW2 stuff, my last few jet builds have been flops to say the least (fun to build and play with though).
@ChrisPy I take it that fixed it? I tried reporting it to the mod creator but git ignored. In my view the mod should be removed as it just causes crashes.
@WarHawk95 Well im late to the party here but im working on a Morane-Saulnier AI replica (shock horror), i noticed that you have a minimum part count but is there a maximum? Im currently at 900+ and no where near (thinking of doing the basic colour scheme this time and a camo one later...)
@TitanIncorporated In do have some stock parts which helps but i also have a backlog of half finished aircraft that im working through list of most of them here
@ChiChiWerx yep, depending on the engine failed yaw can be interesting. I think I'll have a play to see how many engines I can fail and still take off, would guess at only 1 though as its intentionally close to the limit already.
@ChiChiWerx thanks again for your comments and upvotes. I do admit that I focused this build around the camo scheme and undercarriage design, once I had them sorted I struggled for motivation to finish it hence lack of detail on fuselage sides / fins and no lights etc but I thought it worth publishing as it was still a fun build to play around with. Thanks again.
@Ruvien0Republic0Officer it happens all the time to me, my builds of late struggle to get higher than 30 but it doesnt matter as its fun to build. By far the funniest bit about this though was you commented that it lacks upvotes and then didnt upvote it yourself lol
@BLU3SCLU3S So I actually have a build with a couple of turrets almost ready to go, the turrets are ground defense/attack based, is it possible to automate them to attack ground targets and does it just require FT codes for the rotators and guns? I can send you a link to a slightly older version of the build if you want to look.
@BLU3SCLU3S I have a load of unfinished builds im working through so no Beaufighter mash up yet. I dont tend to do replicas so it wouldnt be a true Beaufighter anyway

+1Builds are stored locally on the device, not sure how ipads store stuff (I had an iPhone once and hated all the restrictions apple has) but on pc the builds are in a folder that you can just copy to a new device.
@FeatherWing at the moment it has a big lift fan in the middle and some nozzles for pitch etc. I'm working on additional nozzles / thrust vectoring.
@Tang0five yep, if your not careful this thing ploughs furroughs in the ground as well :) or it did when I first made it before ironing out some "quirks"
+1@Thecatbaron well I didn't want you inundated with just traditional airliners, I always like to explore the more odd/different aircraft types :)
@BryanO5 no idea, never tried. There are a couple of bits which clash slightly though.
+1@jaynnie071621 I'm not surprised with all the ordinance it's carrying :)
@Skykid028 thanks, glad you like them. The landing gear us always the most difficult part on my builds so it's nice seen someone notices them.
There's a hidden folder (local low) on c drive under your username, in there is your local sp files like your builds etc.
+1@Trainzo thanks again, glad you like it, thought it was a bit different :)
Drag. Disable drag (or at least reduce it)
Activate 8 being on is useful.
@WarHawk95 Thanks for the catch, its an easy mistake as they are both called Geoffrey de Havilland.... I didnt realise it was two seperate people until your message.
+1I like the idea of doing this, there should br somewhere on our profiles to list our unfinished work (with pictures). I know I have lots to finish...
@Trainzo thanks again, I appreciate your support
+1@WholeLottaBread slow? It does over 500mph in level flight which is easily comparable with aircraft of the era plus it handles smoothly without being too maneuverable or too sluggish. I'm wondering if your comparable slow brick is too fast :)
+1@WholeLottaBread lol, yep I did the camo and the rest of the build. Thanks.
we can make them outselves, its part of the fun/experience.
+6@Tang0five thanks. The concept was an aircraft fitting between the sea venom and aircraft like the scimitar, sea vixen etc. Hence no reheat and no missiles but a future version may be adapted for both :) I actually might clips the wings quite a bit as well as it looked awesome when I was making the fold mechanism. +1@Tang0five Sneak peek at my next build (will release it sometime next week)
+1@Franticmatty Thanks, glad you liked it, it had been a while since i have built anything along these lines =)
+1@Mikey101234 ???
@Tang0five Well you got me looking at that firecrest... do you want a sneak peak of what i have turned it into =)
+1@Hedero thanks =) I do have to admit that i did use quite a few of my template parts though, but in this instance i also pretty much rebuilt them as i went, so they are both pre-made and not pre-made lol. Have the parts that the hinge is attached to got mass?

Do you have the screenshots mod active? If so disable it
@rm48473 link doesn't work... just go on artstation and search for small brown dog
@eternalDarkness evening ED, any chance you can switch this to be a successor for Warhawks challenge please, thanks.
@WarHawk95 Well im late to the party here but im working on a Morane-Saulnier AI replica (shock horror), i noticed that you have a minimum part count but is there a maximum? Im currently at 900+ and no where near (thinking of doing the basic colour scheme this time and a camo one later...)

@ThomasRoderick @MoldyBread thanks 😊 glad you like my style, thanks for the upvotes, they are getting hard to come by.
+1@Raptor787 as thomasroderick said, I don't tend to build replicas, I like to experiment with fictional craft.
@ThirdReich228 thanks 😊 you should check out some of my newer builds.
@ChiChiWerx yep, depending on the engine failed yaw can be interesting. I think I'll have a play to see how many engines I can fail and still take off, would guess at only 1 though as its intentionally close to the limit already.

+1@BLU3SCLU3S ok trythis like i said, this is an early version but the one im working on still needs a load of other bits as well.
@BLU3SCLU3S So I actually have a build with a couple of turrets almost ready to go, the turrets are ground defense/attack based, is it possible to automate them to attack ground targets and does it just require FT codes for the rotators and guns? @botowo Just seen this comment, thanks a lot =) Its nice to get an upvote.
Definately spelt it right, its just a bird as per most of the early aircraft names see here @SCP1471 @unCANNY @TheLurkingVexedVortex
+1@BLU3SCLU3S I dont tend to build much in the way of aircraft with turrets, feel free to alter any of my existing builds if you so wish.
@BLU3SCLU3S I have a load of unfinished builds im working through so no Beaufighter mash up yet. I dont tend to do replicas so it wouldnt be a true Beaufighter anyway
