@hpgbproductions I installed visual studio (2022 but I don't think that's relevant), downloaded the source code and ran the program directly using visual studio.
When I first tried to open the program it was telling me I had the wrong .net runtime but after installing the correct one through visual studio (I was prompted to do so), the program ran fine.
The only disadvantage, is that I think it's a sizeable chunk slower but tbh it's manageable and works fine for most images.
I believe a lot of the people struggling to run the file have installed the wrong .net version but I haven't yet tested the 'normal' version using this .net runtime. Perhaps specifying which .net runtime to install is useful?
maybe pin this:
after some experimentation, I was able to get the program to run using visual studio. However, the visual studio application was 'targeting a different .net runtime to the version installed'. Visual Studio then prompted me to download the correct runtime and go off that. I recommend therefore that this program is run through visual studio.
hm
i have a horrible feeling it wont work with an antivirus, all versions arent opening for me.
just double checking my .net runtime but im having a lot of the same problems as a lot of people recently, where the program just doesnt open
@WaitBreadIsntAfruit kinda. Him and about 4/5 friends bought one collectively, and they all fly it, both as a group and solo as they all hold the license to it. My uncle can't anymore because he has parkinsons but still helps pay for maintenance costs and the like, and his friends still take him up in it
thinking of hosting a temporary server in the near future for a private thingy with a few friends, is it possible for me to prevent respawning and weapon use, to remove lag spikes and other issues? (obviously I would try to allow people to spawn initially
It would be a race scenario, and lag spikes from respawning are a major issue when throwing cars through a ravine or gully and trying not to crash. Its only gonna be a test server really, to see if it is possible
Additional question: is frame rate from performance cost dependent on client device performance or host device performance?
Generally speaking, people prefer as few mods as possible. I don't use any because they sometimes make my game unstable, occasionally I enable a few maps for photos but that's it.
However, tracks 2 is a brilliant mod for tanks that most tank enjoyers have, so thats a safe bet for a mod and it makes tanks look so much better.
hope that clears things up for you - I would personally only use the tracks 2 mod
@Kangy I mean it's by far the best flight model I've done so far, but there are a few issues with it so I should be able to fix those for next time. There are a few bizarre issues, like a huge twr despite mostly accurate thrust and weight, so it has way better climb than the original, but imo it's one of my better flight models lmao

in overload, under the Bomb tab, you can add a variable called
+1firingDelay
, which can be given a value in seconds. for spamming, try 0.1oh the visibility must be so sick from that thing
"don't upvote this, it isn't worth it"
+9jeezus the cockpit oh thats very good
+11 minute, 1 hour, 10 hour build comparison maybe? Obviously split up the 10hr one lmao

@Captainboeing honestly it depends if you want it in ft or m, the scale you like it and other things. I honestly couldnt answer that question
might be worth checking the scaling, could be that the altitude is just set to
altitude
as opposed to something likealtitude/1000
or smthi'll do it for you
