@Gameboi14 Thank you. Your device has an Intel Celeron N3050, which has an x86 architecture. Since we removed x86 architecture, I'm not surprised you are having issues. Actually, I am surprised the game runs at all. I'll talk with Nathan about this when we get back from the winter break (Jan 2nd) and see what, if anything, we can do.
@Brields95 He has, but not much. He's less interested in building and generally prefers more realistic flight sims, such as DCS, X-Plane and MS Flight Simulator.
@MephilesTheDark We stream the tournament live on Twitch and then we upload the video to YouTube when it's over. We started doing this before YouTube had streaming. Maybe someday we'll just do it all on YT.
Hmmm, not sure. Did you request the desktop version of the site? If so you should be able to just close that tab and open up a new one and download it.
I removed the MaxRpm rule that was eliminating a few players. I looked into it a bit more and the violations were a problem with our upgrade code that updates a prop engine to version 1.8.305. The violations were also just barely above the expected RPM and I don't think that will cause an issue in an unlimited tournament with jet engines. I plan to re-enable it in future tournaments. In order to avoid the max RPM issue in the future, you should replace your airplane's prop engines with a brand new prop engine from the part list.
I just ran a notification check on all current submissions. If you did not receive a notification then your design is okay for the tournament. No news is good news.
@CoolPeach I agree. I just pushed an update that will now allow you to refresh your video's thumbnail from YouTube. You can also now edit your video title and provide a custom thumbnail (if you have > 1,000 points).
@Rub3n213 I just investigated that issue this morning and was not able to reproduce so I believe it has been fixed. Let us know if you are still seeing it.
Our service provider was having issues. You can check their status here and read about the outages.
Regarding the data loss, they said this:
Last night it appears the VHD attached to your server became corrupt and the server could not boot properly. We attempted some disk repairs and also disk checks but were unable to get it to a usable state. We were forced to restore from a backup on 03/07 12:15am MST.
...this disk failure was not related to the cloud site problems we had yesterday, it was an unfortunate coincidence. Thank you for your understanding and I apologize for the delay.
I'm really sorry about the interruption yesterday. Our service provider was (obviously) having some issues. I was going to wait to hear back from them before responding, but they haven't responded to my support ticket yet. It does appear that we have lost data from yesterday. It is highly doubtful that it will be recoverable, but I will let you know if they are able to recover any of it.
@DemonSniper8 Yep, it now allows manual entry and you can tweak the Rotation Amount so that you can click the < and > buttons to increment or decrement by any value you want.
@jamesPLANESii @DemonSniper8 This problem was specific to iOS, but the rotation sliders were a bit of a strange UI for this, so I've reworked it so that you can either use the sliders to rotate or enter angles in manually. The sliders no longer revert back to the middle, but rather stay at their respective position (ie: rotation 0 is in the middle, 180 is all the way to the right and -180 is all the way to the left).
The part transform tool will be improved in 1.8. Here's a screenshot.
@Caveman999 @AstleyIndustries @FastDan @Roswell @BaconRoll @FOXLOVER @DemonSniper8 @Paper @ForeverPie @asteroidbook345
@Minecraftpoweer @Avro683Lancaster @Redflask0416 Can you try switching to the Experimental branch in Steam and see if that fixes your issue? (Make sure your game says version 1.8.0.2 in the About page in the main menu).
@jamesPLANESii I looked into the issue and it appears to be related Unity upgrading their physics engine from PhysX 3.3.1 to 3.4.2. This particular case doesn't look too troubling since it only happens when the door is colliding with the fuselage, but if you see any more problems like this, please let me know.
@WeSeekANARCHY @Jacobdaniel @Lahoski107 Sorry guys, we've been really busy with SR2. Maybe when we start the SP 1.8 update we can get a new tournament going.
@CjrLdy Thanks! We're not sure what's next. At this point we are just focusing on SR2 and we need to get that 1.8 update out for SP soon too. Thanks for helping us beta test!
I went ahead and removed the beta flag for you so it should be good to go when you release it.
+2Okay, I was able to fix it. I emailed you the fixed XML. It was due to an invalid part connection as @randomusername suggested.
+2@SuperSix I guess there was a silver lining to this April fools joke after all!
+2@Roswell Yes, we can an additional 1GB of downloadable RAM for every $0.99/month.
+2@Nerfaddict Yes, I have considered it. It would be a lot of work, but it might make some things easier.
+2@SupremeDorian ha, whoops! Getting my SR2 and SP versions mixed up...
+2It appears that airbrakes might be causing the game to crash. Are some you using some kind of trickery with airbrakes for propulsion?

+2@Armyguy1534 He flew UH-1C in Vietnam. He talks here a bit about the different aircraft he flew after the war.
+2@Brendorkus Your airplane had weapons, so it was disqualified since that is against the rules.
+2Congrats!

+2@Minecraftpoweer Yep, that's one upside.
+2@Ironturtle Yes, I think the Samsung Galaxy A50 should be able to run it. Launch price will be $4.99.
+2@Chancey21 Yes! Great work!

+2I was planning on adding the ability for the author to pin a comment to the top. You could then put your description in the pinned comment at the top.
+2@AnonymousUser99 You can get the Tournament Validator mod to check if your design is okay.

+2Pinning a comment would be nice. I added it to the list.
+2@Hedero If you can't download your planes I'll get you a Steam key so you can get the game on Windows/Mac and download your planes there.
+2@PositivePlanes We are just opening up the Windows and Mac versions of SP and SR2. I assume you are using the APK, right?
+2@RailfanEthan Unfortunately, not. Our games won't run on Chromebooks.
+2@CrazyCatZe hoping to get mobile SR2 out this year.
+2Thanks for letting us know. I've logged the issue.
+2@breitling please contact us at games@jundroo.com
+2@CPRCpublic Thanks for letting me know. I'll get this fixed early next week.
+2@Rub3n213 I just investigated that issue this morning and was not able to reproduce so I believe it has been fixed. Let us know if you are still seeing it.
+2@RedstoneAeroAviation It's a huge undertaking to switch providers, but we are researching other possibilities.

+2Definitely not normal. Are you using any mods? What device and OS are you using?
+2I've enjoyed many of your builds, @flyingsteve88!
We have added a ton of new stuff in 1.8. We should have a beta ready soon.

+2Thanks, @Chancey21. #7 Should be fixed now. Better late than never, right?
+2Thanks for letting me know! This should be working now. Let me know if you are still seeing these issues.
+2Ya, sorry about that.
